Witty, smart, and a lot of fun!

After reading The Last Mrs. Parrish, I immediately requested Liv Constantine’s latest, #TheWifeStalker. They got me good! It’s been awhile since I’ve read a thriller with a mind-blowing twist. I swore I had it all figured out and then I audibly gasped and said wait what?!? When Piper Reynard sets roots in Connecticut, she sets sights on Leo. He’s her dream man. The only thing she doesn’t like about him? His wedding band. But Piper knows marriages aren’t permanent. Meanwhile, Joanna has been patiently waiting for Leo to re-emerge from his deep depression. When he finally returns to his charismatic self, Joanna realizes it’s because of a new woman: Piper. As Leo and Piper grow closer, Joanna is desperate to find something - anything - about Piper. But when she confides in her therapist that she is worried about Piper’s presence, particularly because of the children, Joanna is told she’s just being paranoid. Is she paranoid, or is there something more sinister at play?

One of my favorite parts of the book: the authors created likable child characters. I found myself giggling at their dialogue. I’ll be honest: I usually don’t care for deep interactions with kids, especially in thrillers. But it totally works here. The story is also very fast-paced and every detail is important. There were a few loose ends, but I feel it was intentional: readers are left to wonder and make judgments on their own.

The Constantine sisters have done it once again with this mesmerizing, unputdownable psychological suspense. Having read so many books in this genre, it takes a lot to surprise me these days, but the ending of this had me completely floored. This was a total page-turner, which I devoured in a day. The Constantine sisters consistently exhibit excellent writing and suspense and their writing just gets better and better with each book. I recommend this for all fans of psychological suspense and those just looking for a fun, entertaining read. 5 well-deserved stars!

Many thanks to Netgalley, HarperCollins and Liv Constantine for my complimentary e-copy ARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

I am a thriller with different narrators junkie and was very excited to receive an advance copy of this book from NetGalley. I loved the Last Mrs. Parrish even though the end was a bit predictable even halfway through. This book's twist was not one that I didn't see coming. The Wife Stalker weave a narrative through two different point of views. You may think that you know where this book is going but more than likely you will not. This was well worth the ending from an author dual that really knows how to create a twist that you don't see coming.

The author team of sisters has done it again. They know how to grab you into their novels from the beginning. A easy story to read and if you ever fell in love with someone and felt wronged this story will have you on the edge of your seat.
👀
Piper Reynard sets her sits on Leo Drake is presumably a successful, married a handsome dad of two small children. Pipers background is questionable and people surrounding Leo try to warn him as she starts to get too close to him and I seeing herself into his life.
👀
This psychological novel full of unexpected turns was hard to put down! Thank you NetGalley for an advanced copy!

I loved The Last Mrs. Parrish, so I was very excited to see a new book from Liv Constantine. The Wife Stalker did not disappoint. Up until the last page I was hooked, sneaking in a few pages here and there. The storyline alternates chapters between Piper, Leo Drakos, girlfriend, and Joanna, the woman he left for Piper. As Joanna mourns the loss of her family, Leo moves on with Piper and begins a new life.

However, things are not always as they appear. Not until the last few chapters do we learn the characters' true identities. The last few sentences left me hanging.......there must be even more to the story. A must read for 2020.

I enjoyed the Last Mrs. Parrish and absolutely hated The Last Time I Saw You... I would say The Wife Stalker fell somewhere in between. As many other reviewers have said, the twist made this book! It also explained the many issues I had with the book leading up to that point. I would recommend this one for sure.

This was the best Liv Constantine book by far! The Wife Stalker was a fast-paced, engrossing book that was full of unexpected twists. The ending was surprising, and the reader will never see it coming! Impossible to put down once you get started!!

I thought the plot was formulaic and the book might actually have been better without the plot twist. Piper as evil villainess would have worked for me. All of the female characters were hard to fathom, the Greek family and stepchildren were particularly annoying. Falls squarely in the category of poorly written and plotted domestic thriller. liked the cover but not much else

My copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. My thanks to the the author, the publisher, and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review it.

There are books with unreliable narrators and books with twists that come out of absolutely no where and books that raise your anxiety level so high you have to take the occasional break from them. The Wife Stalker was all of these. It was extremely well written and fast paced. And, once you have read the last page, I bet, like me, you go back and reread a lot of it. These sisters are clever authors!

What an amazing ending!! Couldn’t put this book down until I finished it! No spoilers here—just that there is a few twists and turns that I would never have guessed. Loved the Last Mrs. Parrish and this was a close second!!

Not one of the great ones, but nevertheless a decent read. Particularly on the beach. I thought it was t making sense but the ending tied it all together. However, it doesn't engage the reader to have to wait until the very end to tie everything together.

The Wife Stalker is so much fun to read. I was hooked from the first page and read it in about three hours. There are plenty of twists and turns and I gasped when reading the final twist.

Holy Mother.
This one.
WOW.
I thought I had a pretty good understanding of what was going on. I knew nothing. NOTHING!

Beautifully written thriller. This one twisted right up until the end. I had one tiny part figured out early, but I kept questioning myself...it was literally the only part of the entire thing I had correct. Everything else in the book made me say "WHAT THE WHAT!?!?!" out loud!

Fantastic and easy to recommend psycho thriller. Can't wait to start recommending this one!

Another hit from Liv Constantine! I devoured this book in less than a day. It hooked me from the beginning and kept me guessing as to who was really the villain until the very last sentence.

This book really got the jump on me. Liv Constatine played this so very well.
I thought I had it figured out but I was so very wrong. I also have some questions that went unanswered. I am trying to figure out if Piper was a psycho or not! She did a lot of questionable things (like what is the deal with this smoothie and honey) and also when we get her pov she just seemed so off. Then at the end it made me believe that I was making all this stuff up about her. That she really was a good person. The only people in this book that had a lick of sense was Stelli and Evie.

In this book you are led to believe that Piper is a homewrecker. In turn it made me loathe Leo. I kept feeling like why does he not see through her and realize what she is doing? Then you have Joanna. Whew child…how could she be this doormat with Leo. She just let him take everything from her. Then when it all comes full circle in the ending I felt like a fool! I’m trying to not give too much away. Trust that the characters in this book will make you want to throw your whole damn iPad/Kindle in the trash! Read this…it will blow your mind.

Wow, I never saw that coming!

Piper Reynard has moved to Westport, Connecticut to start over. She is a gorgeous thirtysomething year old with a counseling degree. She sets down roots by purchasing space and opening a holistic rehab and wellness space and joins the local yacht club. She vows to wait awhile before starting another relationship, until she meets Leo Drakos. Leo is a handsome and successful lawyer, if only he wasn’t wearing a wedding ring, but Piper knows marriage isn’t permanent.

Joanna has been waiting for Leo to move out of his depression and start focusing on her and the kids for quite some time. When Leo comes home one day and seems happier and more energetic, Joanna is excited he is back to his old charming self. It doesn’t take long for Joanna to realize it isn’t her that made him happy again but a woman named Piper. Joanna is devastated, how could Leo just leave her behind for a new age new comer that has a questionable past. Joanna is determined to find the truth out about Piper and confront Leo but he doesn’t want to hear it and now she can’t even see the kids. The more she digs the more she uncovers. She tries to tell her therapist but she isn’t being helpful either. Joanna is concerned that Leo and the kids’ lives are in jeopardy but the therapist just thinks she is being paranoid.

The book started out a little slow as the plot gets moving but quickly moves to a can’t-put-it-down situation. The story is told from alternating points view: Piper’s and Joanna’s. Just when I thought I had it figured out the author drops not one by two major bomb shells that left me speechless and re-reading trying to figure out how I didn’t see that coming. This story was spectacular, the best thriller Liv Constantine has written thus far. I highly recommend!

I almost didn't finish this book because it started out so slow and boring. I also found the writing very mundane and lacking any depth, and all the characters were horrible. I did continue because I knew there had to be SOMETHING there to save it. And, yes, the twist at the end just barely did save the book. It was unexpected and brought everything together. Not my favorite book, though.

Anything I can say would be considered spoilers - this is a true suspense read! You're reading along - so sure you know what is happening and boom - you shift to think something else - and boom you're wrong on both counts!! Nice to read a thriller that keeps you on that roller coaster - will look for more by this author.

The book centers around two women: Piper, a beautiful young woman who moved to Westport Connecticut to get a fresh start. And Joanna, a woman whose husband and children are her entire life. Both Piper and Joanna have one thing in common: they are attracted to the same man, Leo Drakos.
The chapters alternate between Piper and Joanna. The first half reads like a typical thriller... slow at first then starts to pick up. The second half of the book was amazing! I definitely did not see the 2 major twists coming.
The timeline skipped a bit, several things were not explained until the very end, but overall it was a quick read and kept me interested. If you like twists, check this one out!
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for sending me an ARC.
