I really enjoyed the author's take on being present and living mindfully. She acknowledges that one can't always be present in the moment as we do have responsibilities to think about the future. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to live a better life.

I would like to thank Netgalley and the Publisher for providing me with a copy free of charge. This is my honest and unbiased opinion of it.

I enjoyed reading this copy of Stop Missing Your Life provided by NetGalley. I enjoyed the way the writer broke down this book into easy to understand sections. I really like how he relates what he’s writing about and how to apply it to real life in a few easy steps. I could relate to the Cultivate Curiosity in Daily Life and the steps he laid out in that section. I’m not sure I’m into mediation but I’m not writing it off either. I could this to be a very interesting read and didn’t want to put it down after I started reading.

I really enjoyed this book full of great tips about meditation, being present and living an authentic life full of purpose. The author provides good tips and a model FACE- Focus, Allow, Curiosity and embodiment to help you peel away the layers of chaos and find more peace in your life. Thank you to Netgalley and Hachette Books for an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

I started out skeptical. It's written in a casual style, and felt like the author was trying to hard to be funny or cool. But by the end, I'd become a huge fan. I read hundreds of self help books (I wouldn't necessarily put this there; it's a step-up in my view). I loved the suggestion that readers get feedback from friends and family, which I don't recall seeing in other books meant to improve peoples lives. There are a number of other really practical ideas and suggestions, all presented in very clear, friendly ways. Highly recommended.

I really appreciate the review copy!! I'll be suggesting it to others.

If you’re looking for a book to inspire you and help you do more with your life, this is the book you need. Much more than a meditation book, Cory Muscara’s book Stop Missing Your Life goes deeper than surface level happiness tips to give you ways to fundamentally change your behavior and the way you interact with the world. He pulls in his experience as a monk in Burma and from practicing Positive Psychology and yoga.
But this is not just another story on how to practice mindfulness. I think the uniqueness of this book is that Cory really drives home the question “Can you be happy and fulfilled if you strip away all the distractions and pleasures you have in life”. Whether in the midst of chaos or calm, do you know how to make peace inside your own head?
If you feel like you have been running from yourself but need a practical, compassionate, and wise friend to guide you on how to stop, this is the book you need.
I’m pleased that Cory reads the audio version of this book himself. His podcast, Practicing Humans, is one of my favs and one of the few that has daily content.

I read a slew of mindfulness/ happiness/ personal development books and this book is a gem!

I really enjoyed this book. All around us, we hear experts tell us to live mindfully. Well, sure, I'll do that after I exercise, pack the kids' lunches, get ready for work, go to work, go to the grocery, make dinner ... well, you see what I mean. But Muscara provides simple tips and a great model (FACE- Focus, Allow, Curiosity and embodiment) that really seems to work for me in each of my daily tasks. I can honetly say I get more done and am happier and more interesting and interested when I follow the FACE method.

I received a free digital copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

It was okay. I feel like I didn't want to connect with the narrator at all. I just couldn't really get into it. I feel like it will help some people, but for me it wasn't a win.

Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the chance to review this title.

Not a fan of the narrator unfortunately.

However I found the book quite practical and good advice for anyone who is interested meditation, or looking for some tips and strategies in personal development.
