Toothcare is another part of life little ones learn about and parents often look for fun ways to talk about it. If you are looking for a story that talks about brushing and tooth care this is a new story to consider. We travel to the Tooth Fairy’s magical land. There we learn about the Tooth Fairy’s job.

This is an interesting story talking about the Tooth Fairy and introducing this tradition to little ones. I suggest reading it first to see if it fits with your family and will be something your child will enjoy. It is a creative story with delightful and colorful illustrations. The character names are well thought out as well. Meet these unique characters in their award-winning story while also providing a message for children to care for their teeth.

A great twist on traditional children's lore, this is a really fun read with bright and colorful pictures that young readers will love to read with an adult. Very much recommend!
Thank you to Net Galley for free advance e-book copy of this title.

First of all, I love the illustrations. Kids would definitely love it too. I like the story too. It teaches children to take care of their teeth. As we all know, kids hate brushing and going to the dentist.

This was a really cute and very funny story. Our daughter is too young to lose teeth yet, but I will look forward to reading her this again, at that stage, as she loved it now and found it funny, but I know she will love it even more then! Great illustrations to match the lighthearted nature of the book.

Thanks to NetGalley for this free ARC in return for an honest review. A cute book about the tooth fairy, you teeth and good healthy habits. Right away we know where this book is heading, which is OK, because the journey is unique and fun. A mother comes into her children's bedroom to discover one has lost a tooth and does not want to give it to the Tooth Fairy. So mom spills a tale about the Tooth Fairy, the Pearly White City, healthy teeth and body, Prince Plaque and hero Sir Brushalot. Interesting and fun way to promote healthy habits and by the end the kids are no longer in the bedroom, so you can figure out where they are at. This book grew on me, and the more I thought about it the more I liked it. Cute illustrations, and a neat story, I think this is a great book for kids of any age since we really are never too old to make sure we practice healthy habits!!!

I requested and received a free e-copy of this book from NetGalley and FriesenPress publishing in exchange for an honest review.

While my inner dental hygienist cringed at the explanation of how adult teeth are formed the parent in me thought that this book was a great introduction to dental hygiene. The author does a great job of making dental hygiene fun by introducing us to the evil Prince Plaque and explaining how we all need to fight him and his Tartar Troopers. This would make a great book for dentists to hand out at the dental office for a patients first visit.

I knew right a way where this book was targeting and was so on board! I thought some more illustrations would not have gone a miss but it worked.

This story follows the tooth fairies from the pearly white city. They watch over the people of our world. The collect the baby teeth kindly donated by kids to make adult teeth.
Prince plaque wants children to get cavities so that their teeth cannot be used. Thankfully there is protection for the city by Sir Brushalot and his knights of the floss.

Ugh, the concept of baby teeth being donated to make adult teeth really put me off. My daughter (who loves brushing her teeth) was pretty weirded out by the tale. It is such a shame too because the story was quite brilliant but that was just too much!

She didn't ask me to read it again (which she nearly always does with any book) and she gave her toothbrush a weird look. I think it just missed the mark for us.

This is such an adorable book for children to learn about their teeth. It will teach them what hurts their teeth, and how they can fix them. I also love that the book includes activities, and pages to record when your kids lose their teeth! It’s something they can keep forever.

Brushalot was a cute story of the tooth fairy and the secret fairy land she lives in where she takes baby teeth and mixes a little magic to make children's big teeth. Children must be aware of Prince Plaque as he will attack the mouth with slime and sugary sweets to cause decay to teeth. The story will keep kids mindful of healthy brushing habits.

I found this story to be a cute way to inform children of teeth health. I did think the book got a little wordy in certain areas, especially since I think this book is targeted toward a younger demographic, 4-6 year olds. Some of the illustrations appeared to need a little finessing but overall were vibrant and sweet. I thought it was a nice touch to include a chart at the end that points out all the Children teeth and the ages of eruption and loss. The coloring pages, activities and mazes at the end were a great touch as well.

My Review: Munchkin just had another dentist check up and has been loosing teeth like crazy, so I thought this would be a fun book to check out. I love that this gives readers something other than the more girly toothfairy to read about. This is a fun way to get kids a little more into brushing their teeth, especially the boys, by turning it into a battle against germs and plaque. There is also some great resources about baby teeth and adult teeth and more fun activities for the kids. All in all it is a really fun and unique book.

My Rating: This was such a fun and unique book that really encourages kids to take an active role in their dental hygiene. We give it a rating of Three Paws and a Stump Wag!

I am sorry, but I must have a .mobi to read this book. That is not available, so I will not be reading this selection. It sounds like a wonderful book for children.

When I attempted to submit this "review", I was told I must assign stars, and that my review must be at least 100 words. I really hate to assign stars to a book I cannot read, but because it does sound really good, This is the second book I have tried to download today with which this has happened. I will give it four stars. I hope this is at least 100 words.

My 9 year old son and I read this together. This picture book is probably better suited for pre-school aged children. The pictures were cute. The plot is pretty simple and the tooth-care lesson is very thinly veiled. Not a book we need to read again. It was fine and might be fun for younger kids.

Overall my 5 year old, who just lost her first tooth, enjoyed this book. I thought it was cute, nice illustrations and a good storyline. Cute names of characters. Sometimes I did have to paraphrase as it was a bit too wordy and the entire book is very short, maybe would have been better to have shorter sentences and a few more pages. The coloring pages and games at the back as well as the information on teeth/diagram was nice to have. Overall we really enjoyed this book.

The tale of this story, all about the tooth fairy and brushing your teeth, is a very nice feature. The tooth fairy picks up the teeth donated by children and makes them into big teeth (with apples, water and a potion?) and then delivers them back to the children at night. Prince Plaque wants kids to get cavities, which is not good at all! Lucky for Tooth Fairy, her brother Sir Brushalot and the Knights of Floss will help defend the city!

The story is unique. It's definitely a different take on what the tooth fairy does, but I think kids will find it interesting and amusing.

I won't lie, the faces on the people in this book had the uncanny valley effect. They were real and yet... creepy, because they weren't perfectly weird. That was my biggest con since the story was quite sweet (pun intended... brush a lot... teeth... yes, I'm funny. Please laugh.). The other pictures, like the pearly white city castle, was beautiful and bright. It was just those people that made me feel uncomfortable.

My biggest positive of the book is the little baby teeth timeline in the back. I think that could be quite useful for educational purposes!

Brushalot turns tooth care into a noble quest. In the book, Mom tells her kids the tale of the tooth fairies, and how they must all work together to fight against evil Prince Plaque, the Lord of Cavity Castle. It is a cute concept (although the drawings look a little uncanny), and there are additional materials at the end of the book including an informational tooth chart, coloring pages, and other activities.

This one is a fun way to teach oral hygiene. The kids loved Sir Brushalot. A cute book that we will definitely reread!

The story is very cute and creative especially the red carpet of the fort resembling the tongue. The fort walls that are tongue shaped, Prince Plaque attacking every meal time are all very well done analogies. easy for kids to understand. In the end when the book says the bed was empty, I knew where the kids went and asked my child to guess. So there are interaction points. I noticed that the kid is very organised with a place to hang for his headphones, gloves. His shirt had a maple leaf and then there was the hockey stick, so I asked for another guess for the country in which the story took place. Engaging details like the red and blue knobs for the hot and cold water. Works well as bedtime story.

I'm not yet a parent (one day!) but I know this would be perfect to teach kids the importance of dental hygiene in a really fun and engaging way! The illustrations are really well done, and the writing is a great level for kids of all ages. It was smart to include a diagram of children's teeth at the end, as well as blank templates parents can use to fill out and keep track of progress. 5/5 for this one!

5 stars!

Yes! Ohh my gosh yes. I LOVED this! There aren't that many (when compared to other genres and topics) books about the Tooth Fairy and this one is so well done! I wish I had been given a copy of this as a young child because it's also an activity book with colouring in pages and dot to dot puzzles and it has a page detailing what your teeth are called and at what age you lose them plus a page to record when you lost your baby teeth. This story will be sure to get kids to want to brush their teeth. It definitely would have worked for me and made it seem less of a chore and more of something that I'd actually want to do. Any book that does this for a child will be very appreciated by the parents. It even made me laugh and smile while reading it. Very well done!. Highly recommend
