Ken Stern is one of our foremost experts on the Arab-Israeli/Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He takes the reader through the layers upon layers of complexities so that i5 becomes possible to separate “the noise from the signal.”

I like the cover; I was intrigued by the title and I found myself wondering on what it’s about. I’ve managed to read the first couple of chapters and it’s not really the type of book that I’d read for entertainment. As a theology student; it is ideal for understanding on how to deal with conflict in Israel and ideal for students or people who plan to travel to the area to have a more of an understanding of conflict and how others dealt with it.

I found it difficult to understand what point Kenneth was trying to put across, as a lot of what he says is contradictory throughout the book. I guess that comes from not fully understanding his views on the conflict itself.
