One of the best synopses I have ever come across. A character that breaks the fourth wall and questions their existence, leading to a spiritual awakening and coming back into their power? Yes please!

Unfortunately the execution was utterly disappointing. I read and read waiting for the book to finally begin. I ended up skimming to page 200 and still nothing, I'm not sure where the book finally starts. I was really hoping for something much more exciting (look at the cover).

The book is all tell and no show which doesn't make it very engaging. This would be okay if the narrator had something interesting to tell but Neon and his story are so bland I couldn't take it anymore.

Where is the 'daring quest' I signed up for.

Have you ever felt misunderstood? Like you fit in with any social setting? Do you think there is more to life than what you are doing? Daniel Pietrzak’s debut novel, ‘Illusion of Worlds,’ is a beautifully written novel about self- discovery.

Living a mundane life with a dead-end job, Deon knows that life should be more than this. To escape the monotony of city life, Deons decides to take a two-week vacation to the rural town of Glastonbury, located in South West England.
A shopkeeper meets Deon, that talks openly about Earth Angels, the divine spirit, and the importance of maintaining an open mind while looking for your soul's purpose.

Along his journey, Deon is greeted by a lightworker named, Nuelle, whose soul's purpose is to “bring light into the world in the form of love, compassion, and peace.” Nuelle encourages Deon to look within himself to find his life's purpose and to not dismiss or devalue gifts and talents that may come quickly to him.

To fulfill his soul's destiny, Deon is metaphorically transported to another place to fight his demons (depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem) that has prevent him from trusting his instincts and listening to his inner voice.
