This author is quickly becoming one of my faves. This story had a bit of a rocky beginning, I really wasn’t so sure I liked the hero much.

As I read on, this book really sucked me in and I had a hard time putting it down. Dallas and Dora are so freaking awesome together. This story was unique and heartfelt. I can’t wait to see what is next in this series.

Nothing But Wild is the second book in P. Dangelico’s Malibu University series and like the first I inhaled this one in a single sitting. After finishing Nothing But Trouble, I was desperate for more of the group I had fallen for. I find some authors make us wait for our favorite characters to get their stories, but not Ms. Dangelico. Although, I am desperate to see how all the stories play out, I was most interested in seeing on Dora and Dallas was going to play out and it didn't disappoint.

Just like P. Dangelico‘s previous books “Nothing But Wild“ was a quick and fun read, and I really enjoyed it.

*I received an e-arc from Net Galley*

I will say the cover of this book is a little bit deceiving, the impression you get is that the book is mostly smut. I also didn't realize that this was a second book in the series but it is a companion series so I don't think reading them in order is needed. The two main characters meet at a Halloween party while Dallas is drunk in a bathtub and Dora is in a sexy cat costume and their is some kissing involved. Then they eventually meet in person since Dallas's friend has some history with Dora's friend, and from there they start a flirty friendship. As well as Dallas getting into a pretty substantial car accident while drunk driving and has to do community service, which happens to be at the animal shelter Dora works at. We have some curvy/fat representation in Dora, as well as dealing with a stutter that can become pretty intense. Dallas has been dealing with heartbreak from the past but it surprised me when we found out the circumstances of the relationship and the fallout. Dora's main arc in the story aside from Dallas is getting to meet her birth mother, who was a surrogate for Dora's parents, but her dad's refuse to give her any information. Dallas is struggling with family relationships, abandonment issues and what he is going to do after graduating (though most likely taking over the family company). Dora does finally get to meet her birth mother and it's not a great experience, though Dora is ok with it since she just wanted closure about who gave birth to her. Dallas dealing with abandonment issues is fearing that Dora is going to leave him, since she has been planning to go vet school on the east coast. This kind of miscommunication trope is something I very much dislike, especially since Dallas essentially ghosts her for around two weeks. There is a happy ending and I did binge read about 70% of the book in one sitting, it was enjoyable and now I am interested in the rest of the series.

Shy, inexperienced girl meets party boy who sleeps around and doesn't do relationships, until her.
I liked Dora, she's sweet and friendly and beautiful without needing to be stick thin. She has curves and learns to love her body, which was my favorite part of the story. Dallas is a bit all over the place, he's been through some bad things and is trying to put on a happy face and pretend he doesn't care. For the most part, he treated Dora well and I liked that he defended her, although a couple times he reverted to his old self and I wanted to punch him for hurting Dora's feelings.
I didn't like the side story of Rea and Bailey, it's like why even read the first book when their relationship clearly falls apart in this one? And there was no resolution to it which kind of sucked.

There were cute, sexy, and funny parts in this and it was an easy and quick read.

Thanks to NetGalley for the copy in exchange for an honest review!

Dallas - College water polo athlete, gorgeous, rich kid/lousy parents he despises/feels empty inside, cocky, flirting is second nature, ladies man reputation, girls always throwing themselves at him, still not completely over inappropriate, past relationship when he was 16, manho before meeting heroine, knucklehead at times.

Dora - Sweet, can’t help but help others, trying to be bolder/break free from insecurities, pretty, very busty, college student, loves her M/M gay protective parents, would like to meet/know her birth mother, protective roommates have her back, stuttering issue, gets her heart stomped on.

Hopefully those two brief character summaries give you a quick profile of the main couple you’ll meet here, folks. Throw in the posse of friends on both sides that likely will be matched up in future books and there likely isn’t much else I need to elaborate on. It’ll be up to you to decide if this backdrop appeals to you.

Dora stays adorably sweet and vulnerable, tied to how she feels Dallas thinks about her. He’s got some baggage to let go and it takes him awhile to come to his full senses and finally fight for love.

I got to say I wasn’t a fan of Dallas still carrying a torch for what I considered an inappropriate, make that illegal, relationship he had when he was only 16. You’d think now that he is older, wiser as an actual adult, he’d look back and shudder in his speedo’s just thinking about how wrong it was. Instead he’s still mad how it ended.

Brock was my favorite buddy of Dallas, though I felt these guys got little page time here. He’ll get his HEA next in Nothing But Good with a very polar opposite lady love. Hint: He’s a virgin. She is not.

Title: Nothing But Wild, Series: Malibu University (Book 2), Author: P. Dangelico, Pages: 245, stand-alone but part of a series, young adult romance, college water polo athlete, trying to be less insecure/stutters college student heroine, pretty/very busty heroine, enjoyed the first book more, rather lame, eye candy book cover if you ask me.

Book 1 - Nothing But Trouble
Book 2 - Nothing But Wild
Book 3 - Nothing But Good (releases June 2020)
Book 4 - Nothing But Heart (not yet released)
Book 5 - Nothing But Charm (not yet released)

P. Dangelico knocks it out of the park with this book. The diverse cast of characters and exceptional writing take this romance to the next level. I couldn’t stop turning the pages of this sexy and swoon worthy romance. “Nothing But Wild” is an absolute delight. This author delivers banter heat, humour, all the feels and drama I love in my romance books. Such an entertaining and sexy story with a relatable and likeable cast of characters. You should definitely pick up this book and get started on this fabulous series today. Happy reading!!

I’m one of the stupidest person calls herself book nerd and then forgets to read one of the sweetest book waiting for her to devour!

I enjoyed the first book of the series and P. Dangelico’s smart, sweet writing style never disappoints me! Last year finding a good romance book was torturous experience for me! It was just like kissing too much frogs and leaving with a bad taste at your mouth without finding any prince candidates. So many authors disappointed me, made me scream at their words and made me lose my faith in romance or better written literature couples. But Ms. Dangelico never did this to me! She always knows how to put a smile on my face and made me sigh when I read her stories. She knows how to write heart-felting, beautiful love stories and I really appreciate her talent.

D-D as a couple (Dallas and Dora) is a great definition of opposites attract. I enjoyed their friends to lovers relationship starting with drunken kiss and turned into a sweet, swoony, entertaining love story. Dora may be inexperienced in relationships but she is brave, honest enough to express her feelings and she is determined to break the walls of Dallas hides behind not to show his real feelings to the outer world. I loved their chemistry, friendship and their unique love story.

Overall this was the soft, sweet and entertaining escape that I was looking for and I’m so ready to devour upcoming series.

So much thanks to NetGalley and P. Dangelico for sharing this lovely ARC COPY with me in exchange my honest review. And I’m deeply sorry to wait too long to read and write my review. It made me smile and relaxed me so much after this stressful week and I really appreciated writer’s beautiful words to help me get away from my depressing mood.

Thank you NetGalley and P. Dangelico for this book. I received an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion about the book.

I am a huge P. Dangelico fan and have read almost all of her books. So it's an honor for me to review her books. I never read a book by the author that I haven't loved and this book was no different. As the second book in my favourite Malibu University series , I had pretty high expectations from this one. I am glad to report that I liked , if not loved , Dallas's story.

This story runs parallel with the events of the first book and there were many instances where we get an even better understanding of the events of the first story. This book is based on the a friends to lovers plot and highlights various issues such as bullying , family dynamics , emotional neglect and a lot of family drama. I liked the gradual character development of both Dallas and Dora. Specially Dallas. I liked the way he started changing and became a more likable character and a better person despite having a less than ideal family life. Some incidences were simply sad but the banter and the pull and push relation between two main protagonists was very entertaining for me to read.

To be honest , I was more involved with the story of the first book in the series. It was a truly remarkable piece of New Adult fiction and a great start of a college romance series. Though this book had its moments but it failed to surpass its predecessor. Not comparing these two any longer, I would say it was a great story with a good plot and an even better group of supporting characters and engaging banters. Add the amazing chemistry between these two protagonists, we have a good follow up. I enjoyed reading this and I loved the cover and the story was good (though not as captivating as the first one). It was worth my time and I am glad that I got a chance to read this. Hope you all like it too and I wholeheartedly recommend both the books in this series. If you haven't read it yet then you are missing out. I am eagerly waiting for the next books in this awesome series by the talented author.

Happy reading!

This captivating romance takes place at Malibu University. It is a friends to lovers story that is sweet and at other times full of angst. Even though Dallas and Dora are totally opposites, something draws them to each other. I liked Dora; she is sweet, kind and socially awkward. Dallas is handsome and a great water polo player, but he is not an easy person to like. Women constantly throw themselves at him and unapologetically, he takes what they are giving. Dallas goes through a transformation in this slow burn romance.

Dallas is everything Dora is not. He is a gorgeous, confident, womanizer. From the outside he leads a charmed life as water polo god's gift to women and every woman on campus is in love with him, including Dora. But Dora would never dare show her true feelings, because she knows someone like Dallas could never be attracted to her. Dora stays in her lonely world of studying and observing people.

Looking at Dallas you would think he has everything, but looks can be deceiving. Dora and Dallas slowly get to know each other and fall in love. Dallas and Dora are adorable together as they work through their issues together and help each other realize how good they are together. Even though they seem like an unlikely couple, they help each other. This is the second book in the series and I can’t wait to read more. If you like slow burn, friends to lovers college romance don’t miss this one.

Dora is a normal girl who has a crush on Dallas Van Zant. He is a water polo god. And everyone thinks he is a shallow and pretty boy. So, Dora thinks he is unattainable for her.
But at a costume party, when Dallas is quite drunk, Dora kisses him. Because she obviously hopes he won't remember anything. But he remembers! And he knows who she is!😅
A sweet book about two people that seem to be totally different. But they just fit.
Don't be fooled by Dallas. He is not what you may think in the beginning. You will love him. In fact, both main characters are really good. And it's refreshing that the girl is not the top model type.
I haven't read the first book in this series. But this one can be read as a standalone. Now, I am very curious to know what will happen to rest of their friends.

The events of second part of the Malibu University series happen at the same time as the events of the first book, Nothing but Trouble, and we see a few scenes that focused on the development of Alice and Reagan's relationship with a different pair of eyes. Or rather two pairs of eyes, because this is also a dual POV book. I already loved Dora, so I was very happy to read her story. Dallas...well, I needed some convincing, but P.Dangelico did a marvellous job of making the readers see beyond the pretty face of this golden boy.
What I loved about Dora was her quiet strength and determination, the way she doesn't let her speech impediment stop her from expressing herself, the way she never loses her faith in her relationship. I'm not a big fan of insta-love, so I was glad to see that Dora and Dallas take plenty of time to get to know each other working in the shelter before their friendship becomes something more. Another thing that I never get tired of in YA and NA novels is showing the importance of consent. You might say, well, this book is primarily going to be read by female readers, but you need to clearly understand what is right.
This series keeps getting better and I am already looking forward to reading Zoe and Brock's story.

Thank you to NetGalley and the author for the review copy provided in exchange for an honest opinion.

I've read this author's work before and absolutely loved it and this first book in a series (I believe) did not disappoint. I loved Dallas and Dora's story so much! It was heartbreaking, but also so heartwarming at the same time--sweet, sexy, and some hilarious laugh out loud funny moments too. I would classify this as a sports romance, but it's so much more than that. I thoroughly enjoyed this read and I'm looking forward to the next book in this series. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.

This book was a great example of everything new adult should be. In so many cases, new adult has serious angst issues, in lieu of good drama. This book, like the other best examples of new adult - has drama and emotion and growing pains instead of whining and angst. It reminded me a lot of L.J. Shen's broken knight.

Dallas is definitely a spoiled rich kid with some serious family issues. His family is truly dysfunctional - without any of the fun. He is emotional scarred from a childhood with a parent with untreated mental illness and an underage relationship with a tutor who was much older than him. When he meets Dora he quickly sees the good in her. Dora is a shy girl who doesn't quite fit in with her crowd of friends. She seems to be the polar opposite of Dallas. Shy where he is hold, soft where he is hard, etc. But most importantly, she pushes Dallas to see beyond himself and become a true friend and love for her.

Overall this story is a great read. If you enjoy well-written new adult, this will be a great read for you.

I loved all the characters and look forward to reading more of this story.

I received this as an ARC from NetGalley, but these opinions are all my own.

Dallas Van Zandt seems to have it all, Popular, rich kid on the water polo team, devastatingly handsome, tons of friends, so quiet reserved Dora Ramons can't for the life of her figure out why he's turned his attention to her. Dora knows all about Dallas and his wild ways, but being friends with him can't hurt, right?

This is the first P. Dangelico book that I've read, and I feel torn about it. I really wanted to love it, but it fell a little short for me. Maybe it's because I had an arc, maybe it's because life in my house has been crazy between the holiday's and sick kids so I'm exhausted, maybe it's because I haven't read the first of the series, but I felt lost for the first several chapters. There were a lot of side characters, and I couldn't determine who was an important side or just there to fill a specific scene. I'm going to assume that this and the first in the series are happening simultaneously since there was a lot of side story drama with no resolution. It seemed as though there were large time jumps, several weeks to months without a whole lot of indication that was happening. BUT, I did love Dora's character. I loved that she had a stutter, and how her physical description seemed realistic size-wise. When Dallas essentially ghosted her for two weeks my heart hurt so much. Dallas was harder for me to relate to he almost seemed too tragic, but sometimes real life is that way. There were several typos that a proofreader would have caught, again, maybe it's because I had an arc, but a lot of simple mistakes were there, such as "our hair was sipping in the wind" or the use of asses instead of assess. I'm going to read the first of the series, and then buy a final version of this and give it another shot. I love the mix of tropes, hopefully, the second read-through with background information will help me enjoy this book more.

First and foremost if you're planning to read this book read book one Nothing but Trouble first. While they're standalones this one has spoilers from book one that you really need to enjoy with that storyline.

Now onto Dallas and Dora. This author sure knows how to set you up with the perfect meet cute and this one was explosive!!

Dallas hides himself very well letting everyone think he's just a a water polo jock and nothing more but Dora sees beneath the facade to the guy he really is.

Dora hides behind baggy shirts and chinos and tries to keep her stutter to a minimum. She thinks she is no where in the same hemisphere as Dallas but that doesn't stop her from checking him out and knowing he's not who he lets people think he is. There is so much more beneath the surface of this bad boy.

I was so excited to read Dallas and Dora's story and Ms. Dangelico did not disappoint. Can't wait for more from this series.

This is a slow burn romance from Dallas and Dora. They are very interesting characters both with very interesting family/past and couldn't be more different. But as you know opposites attract. And attraction they have big-time it is just that they don't want to act on it. So Dora has a bucket list and Dallas wants to help her achieve her goals. What will happen is for you to find out. The story is sweet, cute and funny and both Dallas and Dora very likable. Their journey is not easy and I loved how the story ends, their make up a conversation has touched my heart. I can't wait to read Zoe and Brook's story.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for NetGalley
