I love Elephant and Piggie books. This one was so fun for kids and parents to read together. Elephant and Piggie read a silly book about a tiger who is afraid of worms. The sentences are easy for beginning readers to read along but not dry like some easy readers. After reading it my 5 year old said she liked it “because it was so funny.”

Another excellent Elephant and Piggie Like Reading book. The illustrations are wonderful and the story is silly and fun: about a tiger who is afraid of worms...and worms who are afraid of tigers. Plus, Elephant and Piggie do the introduction and the afterward. Very good, fun read for a 4-8 year old. Highly recommended!

What About Worms!? is very funny and cute. I really like the juxtaposition in the book and my kids laughed their heads off.

Always love Mo Willems. This was pretty cute with the juxtaposition of both main character groups being afraid of each other. I think kids will think its funny.

What About Worms is about a tiger who is afraid of WORMS. Really a tiger afraid of worms?? In everything that he comes across in this book, he fears that there are worms in it! This book made me laugh a great lot, like all of Mo Willems' books. Ryan Higgins and Mo Willems did a great job with this one! :)

A great addition in the Elephant and Piggie Like Reading series. Simple enough to be an early reader with just a touch of humor. "We Don't Eat Our Classmates" is a favorite among our patrons and this will be a great book to suggest for further reading.

I loved this one! I can see my book club kids going nuts for this. The artwork is adorable with a Calvin and Hobbes-esque quality to it. My coworker and I can't wait to purchase it and start recommending it to our patrons!

Tiger likes many things and he is very brave. He fears only one thing . . . worms! Early readers will love the fun pictures and silly reasoning. Join Elephant, Piggie, and Tiger for a new reading adventure from favorite authors and illustrators, Ryan T. Higgins and Mo Willems. The characters will leave readers wanting to read more books from the worlds the authors have created. This is a great match for fans of Elephant and Piggie as well as Mother Bruce.

What About Worms!? is a humor filled book that young readers will adore.

What I loved about the book:
1. Piggie and Gerald
2. The Pigeon cameo
3. The theme of “not judging a book by it’s cover”

What I did not love about the book:
1. Some illustrations of the tiger

Overall, a solid addition to the series of Elephant and Piggie like books! I will be purchasing for my school library and sharing with eager K-2nd grade readers.

This book is clever and adorable. I was not sure what to expect from a crossover like this and it did not disappoint. I think young children will have a great deal of fun with this book.

I love Ryan T. Higgins' books. And I love Elephant & Piggie. So it's not a huge surprise that I also love this book. Tiger is so afraid of worms! It's even leading him to give up things he loves. But what about the worms? Could they be afraid of Tiger? Or have they discovered an awesome way to deal with their fear?
Being afraid of things is OK but maybe learning more about the thing you are afraid of might help with that fear! Plus - Elephant & Piggie? Your worm jokes are pretty awesome! And don't forget to look for Pigeon.

Just fine. Not my favorite by Higgins, and not my favorite from the “Elephant and Piggie Present” collection, but does the job that’s to the twist toward the end.

I love Elephant and Piggie. I mean, I LOVE them. This book could NOT get any better. Such a cute and fun little story, and guess who does both intro and ending?? ELEPHANT AND PIGGIE!! I hope there are more Tiger books to come!

Oh, this author is a favorite of mine and my students, and to see his work in collaboration with Mo Willems is fantastic! This book is all about perspective, and how the tiger sees things. It is hilarious!

Another addition to the Elephant & Piggie Like to Read series. This book about tiger sharing his fear of worms is a funny book with a twist that all readers will laugh along with.

A definite “must purchase” for libraries.

Two awesome kid's book authors joining forces! Mo Willems has won the Theodor Seuss Geisel Medal multiple times, so he knows what is hilarious for that age group. Ryan T. Higgins wrote/illustrated We Do Not Eat Our Classmates, one of my favorites recently. Just a charming story of a furious (he thinks) tiger who is afraid of worms.

What About Worms!? (Elephant & Piggie Like Reading!) by Ryan T. Higgens

Tiger is AFRAID of worms, yes those wiggly worms. This book follows his reasoning of how he becomes afraid of items because they might have worms. Then the perspective changes to that of worms, and you'll have to just read the book to find out what happens!

What a wonderful addition to the Elephant & Piggie Like Reading series! This is written in the familiar speech bubble style of Mo Willems' books, however unlike Elephant and Piggie books, it is a one voice dialogue. This is a great change for readers who might enjoy reading in two (or more voices) can practice different tones in reading this book aloud. However the perspective does shift to that of worms who are afraid of tigers, which gives readers an opportunity to practice the voices again.

A wonderful book for read-aloud full of humor and to gain an understanding of different voices. The illustrations are bold and vibrant and make the story wonderful!

Highly recommend.
