I received this from Net Gallery,I am so sorry if I'm late writing a review! Now the book! Where to start on this wonderful, heartwarming stories of this woman who has hidden from the world to find there is a world outside her porch! I really like the cover that was chosen for this story. They always have said, you can't judge a book by its cover, but on this story, you can do,looking at the cover to me,you get a feeling it's going to be about someone who lives in a cabin,in the woods or mountains .. Probably someone old or a family! The cover was the right one in my opinion to chose. This author did a magnificent job on writing and the descriptions on the lives, but I can tell you it has anything and everything that you will enjoy and feel as you read where you may think back on your own family memories. Miss Opal makes some different kind of friends back in the 1950's where it was suppose to still be safe to leave your doors unlocked. Then they want to take her house and her land, You are going to have to read to find out what happens but I tell you what,Miss Opal is a fighter!! All and all,you will fall in love with this old woman and you will go through the adventures she goes through and just to let you know, better be prepared to laugh out loud and use some of them tissues!!🙉🙊💩i

I received a free electronic copy of Warren County Days on December 29, 2019, from Netgalley, Diane Thomas-Plunk, and Dog Ear Publishing. Thank you all for sharing your hard work with me. I have read these short stories of my own volition, and this review reflects my honest opinion of this work. I am pleased to recommend Diane Thomas-Plunk to friends and family. She brings back the 1950's in the south with a nostalgic twang.

Opal Pratt is a little piece of all of our grandma's. Even those of us raised in the west by southern ladies will feel the pull of home with these short vignettes. All the plus factors of a southern lifestyle are brought out in this collection. I can hear my Granny chuckling as Opal sets the world right...
