I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. This book was a great, quick beachy read with a satisfying ending.

This book was excellent, I really enjoyed the ups and downs of people's life. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.
I highly recommend this book.
Thank you netgalley and harlequin for allowing me to read this title for an honest review.

K-9 Officer Trey is healing from an injury and until he can go back to work hes unwillingly working as a vollenteer to keep an eye on troubled teens. Erica can't have children of her own and decided to take her maternal side towards caring for troubled teens as a teacher. Both seem to clash in the beginning but slowly start to soften towards one another. But things cant stay perfect when things in their lives start to take a turn.
There is so much going on to keep the readers hooked. I love that hate to like kinda romances and slowly but surly seeing them soften to one another. I loved seeing that romance that was forming between the two problem is that being that they work together it can cause issues. Getting to know the characters though the book you can't help but root for them being together and having everything their way. I loved that there was a bit of drama here and there to keep things interesting. I loved seeing everyone work together and helping one another it was just sweet to see. Overall this was a cute clean contemporary romance novel and I really enjoyed it.

Cottage at the Beach by Lee Tobin McClain is the first book in her new The Off Season series.
Trey Harrison is an injured K9 cop sent to the small town of Pleasant Shores to recuperate and volunteer with a local academy behavioral support program for at-risk teens. His job and future rest not only on his physical recovery but also on his mental and psychological recovery and his performance as a volunteer.
Erica Rowe is Trey’s neighbor in Pleasant Shores. She is the primary teacher for the behavioral support program. She’s initially not impressed with Trey’s interactions with the teens but warms to him as he warms to the kids.
The school’s non-fraternization policy isn’t the only thing holding back a relationship between Trey and Erica, despite their strong attraction to each other, he wants kids and she can’t have them.
Cottage at the Beach is a great way to start a series. Ms. McClain has introduced strong, believable characters and an interesting plot. The setting is beautiful and is used smartly. This isn’t just a heartwarming romance. The author touches on some important aspects of being a woman in a time when we have access to more information than we ever have. Do we really want to know everything, and if we do, what will we do with the information?
I throughly enjoyed this novel. I rate it 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it to all lovers of heartwarming romance.
My thanks to the author, HARLEQUIN – Romance (US & Canada) and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book. However, the opinions expressed in this review are 100% mine and mine alone.

I really liked this story of Trey and Erica. It touches on disadvantaged teens, cancer, workplace injuries, and most of all second chances. Second chances at relationships and love but also at careers and life in general. This is one of those books that I can confidently recommend to those readers who don't want explicit sex scenes in their romances. Truthfully, it proves that a good romance novel doesn't require such scenes.
I look forward to reading more of McClain's work.
Thanks to #Netgalley for providing me with an ARC of #CottageAtTheBeach in return for an honest review.

Great start to a new series set in the Chesapeake shore. It's a story focusing on two sisters and a new neighbor, along with side characters in this small town. It's a story that explores the true meaning of family, friendship, recovery, and acceptance.
I received a free ARC eBook from Net Galley and the publisher in exchange for my honest opinions.

I will leave a review on Amazon or B&N on Feb 25, 2020
I believe this was the first book I have read from this author. Overall I found it to be an enjoyable read, there was a lot of things going on in the book which at times made it a little hard to keep track of all the things taking place. I was happy that by the end of the book it seems to be more consistent and worked out the way I had hoped. For those that enjoy a good love story I believe most would enjoy this book,
I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley and the publisher and this is my fair and honest review.

this was a nice predictable love story. It just did not grab my interest and hold it. This is the third book in this series

I’m going to go with maybe a 2.5 on this one. It could have been a better book but the plot lines seemed awfully scattered. There didn’t seem to be cohesion of all the various characters or any real development. I didn’t connect with the characters at all and it just seemed like a mess of negativity from the beginning only to wrap it all up with a bow at the end.

Erica works with problem teens. Trey who has had a stellar police career becomes a volunteer in hr classroom . Of course the two clash, but eventually see that working together is better for the ids and truthfully a Trey's mannerisms seem to resonate with the kids. While the principal no longer wants to support the program. Erica and Trey have made such a change in the kids, that he has to change his ind. A nice story, but terribly predictable - dogs and all.
