Price knows that Tara is the one for him. But is he moving too slow in letting her know? Tara knows Price is the one to help her move beyond her past but can she convince him she is ready?
Firestorm is the latest story in Monette Michaels' Security Specialists International series. I loved that Ms. Michaels' decided it was Price's time. Although this story can be read as a standalone, you will appreciate just how patient Price has been having read previous stories in this series.
I loved getting to know Tara better. She has been through the fire and come out on the other side stronger...until her past meets her present. I love that Price stands beside her as she fights the demon that has returned. I enjoyed seeing girl power at its best as Tara's new friends help her find her strength to continue fighting. The chemistry between Price and Tara is real and believable as Price and Tara navigate an intimacy that is new to them both.
I thoroughly enjoyed this action, the passion and the sense of family with this latest addition to this world created by Ms. Michaels. I cannot wait to see where will take us next.

Finally Price and Tara’s story- there’s enough going on with Thai Tory that you can totally read as a stand-alone and not read in series order. Lots of action, drama and of course a HEA.

The premise was interesting and it developed quickly as did the relationship between the 2 main characters. I did not read other books ion the series but from just what I read in this book there's seems to be a theme of sexual assault. The climax seems a bit farfetched.

Full Disclosure: I only read the first book in this series before picking this one up. Mainly because it was on NetGalley and current. But it didn't matter. This still reads like a standalone.

Price is one of the operatives with SSI. He's strong, handsome and knows what he wants. And he wants Tara. Problem? Yep. He can tell that she's not like all of the other women he's dated and he doesn't want to mess this up. But is he gonna wait too long or have the balls to do something about it?

Tara has been helping SSI with clearly the brush and forest around the perimeter. Having worked as a smoke jumper and firefighting instructor, this was easy work. That is until someone tries to snipe her while out clearly the forest. Now she finds herself being hunted, yet protected by the one man she's had her eyes on for a while now.

You're not going to find a damsel in distress here. Every single woman in this series are badass chicks that don't take anything from anyone...including their men. The chemistry between Price and Tara is extremely cute and sweet. But it's probably the drama and suspense of this book that had me turning the pages.

Firestorm is the sixth title in the Security Specialist International series and much like the previous books it’s jam packed with action, intrigue and suspense.
Price and Tara’s story is a fast paced and engaging read. Tara is a capable, strong, intelligent and independent heroine. She’s a former air force pilot, turned park ranger who has faced her fair share of trauma, but is incredibly resilient.
Price an over the top alpha, much like the other hero’s in this series, he’s protective but not overbearing, and kind, caring, and compassionate.
I thoroughly enjoyed this addition to the SSI series, and enjoyed seeing a female heroine who is a strong survivor. Tara can more than hold her own with the other operatives of SSI.
For those familiar with the series several past characters make regular appearances within this storyline, and I look forward to seeing more of the SSI team in future novels.

This is one of my favorite series and an author who's writing I enjoy in the various genre's she writes in. Price Teague is a patient hero who's definitely cut a swathe through the local women until he meets the one woman who commands his heart and fidelity and then like a felled hero suddenly discovers shyness. Tara Nightwalker is a warrior in her own right who can definitely hold her own not just against Price but against her warrior brothers as well.
I love how the Security Specialists team all watch with amusement as Tara and Price pussy foot around each other. Tara can't figure out why Price won't ask her out and Price that strong warrior is nervous. Of course once Price finally screws up his courage and asks Tara for a date it's the signal for all hell to break lose and add a nice element of murder and suspense to the story.
Tara is a deep character with a lot of depth. I totally enjoyed who she is with her grit and perseverance and her deep vulnerability. Her brothers when they show up on the scene add a lot of color. Price definitely has his work cut out to win them over. Moments with the female warriors of the SIS team both pitched battles and shopping and fun chats are great moments that only this author create with her usual pizazz.
Living in Southern California I'm no stranger to fire and having watched the fires seeming burn all across Australia has brought them up close and personal to people all around the world. Fire is a character in this story as it plays such a large role in bringing Tara and Price together.
I absolutely can't wait for more from the author whenever she can serve it up to us.

Firestorm, the sixth story in Monette Michaels brilliant Security Specialist International series was a pleasurable and engaging read. That although slow to start did soon pick up. Thanks to plenty of action and some great moments of suspense. As well as a nicely woven romance between kick-ass heroine Tara and one of my favourite characters Price. And with plenty of appearances from the rest of the SSI team, particularly Keely Ren, Tweeter, DJ, Trey and Fee; I was easily entertained, and I would happily recommend it to others.

First off all, Price's story was worth the wait. There is so much to love about this series and this book. Alpha men and strong female heroines are a staple. Sexy romance balanced with pulse pounding action and suspense. I can't get enough of this series. Perfect for fans of romantic suspense this is one that should be on your must read list.

I've been waiting a long time for the next book in the Security Specialist International series and it was worth every second! This is one of my favorite series, I love the characters and want to move to their town in Idaho or their other location in the Upper Penisula. The author does an amazing job of describing the locations and people, making you feel connected to the story. The hero, Price has evolved over the series and the heroine, Tara, is the woman to pull him across the finish line. Reading this book felt like a family reunion with explosions and bullets, never boring. Check out the entire series, you won't be disappointed!

I loved the interplay between Price and Tara. He was sensitive to her past and she was strong enough to believe in a future. The chemistry was off the charts! Can’t wait to read the other titles in this series.
