I loved this book. As a former upper elementary school teacher, this would be a fabulous read aloud as students are guided through writer's workshop. I am a librarian now and can see this as a great book for an Author's Club in our elementary school. So many amazing ideas and tips to inspire the writer in all of us!

Comprehensive, engaging  guide for anyone ages 8 and up on the craft of writing. The author's chatty voice adds to the fun of writing for the sake of writing. A great resource for classrooms, writing programs English teachers and anyone who has ever felt "I can't write, it's too hard!"  Why add this book to your collection of writing craft resources? I anticipate this being kept within reach by anyone who values their written word and needs a motivating push to stay the course.

This book is great for aspiring writers, young and old. The illustrations keep the text fun. I love how there are pointers on how to write and then there are also writing samples throughout each chapter. This would be the perfect classroom read aloud! I cannot wait to add it to our library collection.
