This is a story of two women, whose lives are so different but, at the same time, so similar and, after a chance meeting on a train to Bristol, realise that their situations can be eradicated because of this. Its a tale of physical and mental abuse that has far reaching consequences on the lives of more people in this story than Beth and Cath, but is the only way they can escape from the hell they have lived with all these years.

An excellent psychological thriller.
This is the third in a series but can be read as a standalone.
The storyline was complex but it was written so cleverly.
A complete page turner

Fast read. A little predictable. You could almost have it figured out pretty quickly. There wasn't enough build up to make us a roller coaster ride of emotions type of thriller. This was the third book in the series but I have not read any other books.

This book was very interesting and fast-paced, the author held my attention and the plot was very appealing. I would recommend this book to friends.

I will admit that it took me a few chapters to get into this book and I was starting to fear I wouldn’t enjoy it as much as the previous two books in the series. Luckily for me the story got better as the book progressed. Once I got invested in the story I was totally engrossed and didn’t want to put it down. A very good crime thriller filled with suspense.

So gripping! Some really good twists. I couldn't stop reading. I'm really looking forward to reading more from the author in the future.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and the author, for an ARC of this book, in exhange for an honest review.
I really enjoyed reading "The Stranger's Wife".
I found it to be fast paced & thrilling.
It's a book that will keep you interested & turning the pages to the very end.
I hadn’t realised that this was part of a series but it wasn't a problem reading it as a standalone.
I would definitely read another book by Anna-Lou Weatherley.

My thanks to NetGalley and Book Outure for a copy of “ The Stranger’s Wife” for an honest review.

I hadn’t realised that this was part of a series until I’d finished this book , so definitely not a problem reading it as a standalone .
I was hooked by the tag line for this , and really enjoyed the book.
I thought I knew where the storyline was heading , but happily it went in a different direction.
Loved the character of Dan , and I think the book ended in a satisfying way..

This one had my curiosity going. I was just dying to know the *how* of everything. That being said, I thought the *how* was a little convenient, but I was still nicely surprised.

I loved our characters - and hated a couple, but I was supposed to - and thought the ending worked. It may not be the ending we want, but it's the right ending.

All in all a good, entertaining read!

This is the third instalment of Detective Dan Riley series. However, I have not read any of the books in the series, so I do feel that this can be read as a standalone novel.

I absolutely lost myself in this story and I loved one character in particular.

This a great psychological thriller. Often with this genre, authors can put too much effort into into the suspense that the storyline gets lost.

However, this is a perfect example of how a psychological thriller should be done.

I am going to be looking for by this author in the future.

I enjoyed this book and thought it had an excellent plot and was written well... with the exception of the ending. I kind of feel like something was missing and it felt unfinished in the sense that I feel like the author didn’t know how to tidy it up and cleanly end the different plots. Otherwise, I thought it was a good read and have recommended to a few coworkers already.

Beth and Cath are two very different women and yet share one thing in common. They are both in relationships with men that they wish to get out of. Beth is the wife of a very wealthy and influential man, but there is no love lost in their marriage and Beth has been having an affair. Beth has finally had enough and wants to leave. Cath has been with her boyfriend since they were teenagers, but he is extremely violent and she is too scared to leave. What happens on the 3:15pm train from London to Bristol changes the lives of both women as their paths cross.

I enjoyed the fast pace of this book and felt empathy for both women. I guessed most of the twists and the ending but it didn't stop me from enjoying the story. Although it is #3 in the Detective Dan Riley series it can be read as a standalone!

Thanks to Anna-Lou Weatherley, Bookouture and NetGalley for the ARC.

The tag line for The Strangers Wife: They never met each other, but they share the same story”. Must admit that reeled me in. I’m a sucker for a good tagline and mysterious book cover. This is the third book in the Detective Dan Riley series but can easily be read as a stand-alone. This book tells the twisted story between Beth and Cath. They are both married and pondering leaving their partners. In a chance encounter on the 3:15 train, both women chat it up and prove that misery loves company. There are elements of The Girl on a Train that I couldn’t get past.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to read and review this book.

After losing and replacing my broken Kindle and getting a new phone I was unable to download the title again for review as it was no longer available on Netgalley.

I’m really sorry about this and hope that it won’t affect you allowing me to read and review your titles in the future.

Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity.
Natalie.
