I’m not sure if I have words for how I feel about this one. It does have a HEA but to get their I wasn’t sure it was going to happen. Laurel and Everett meet in high school. The popular rich jock and the new girl. They are not suppose to be together but that doesn’t stop after from trying. The book starts with changes times. You’re going back and forth in their history until you end up with them being adults. It’s good and I think it’s a little bit harder on the emotions because it’s real. It just isn’t boy meets girl and you get happy ever after. Sometimes you have to really lose it all to be happy.

I enjoyed it but I really don’t think I can explain this one any other way.

Thank you Netgalley/Publisher for the read!

I am so glad that A Wrinkle in Forever was a standalone title since I have not read any from the series, but I loved the way Charissa Stastny wrote/told the story. I will be adding her other books to my TBR list.

I did not mind the cheesy/cliche moments of this story and rather just enjoy the sweet moments. It was nice seeing Laurel, Rett, and Gianna throughout the years.

Be still, my heart. When I requested this title on NetGalley, I thought it was going to be a light romance, but it was SO. MUCH. MORE. A Wrinkle in Forever follows Everett and Laurel as they navigate the challenges life bestows upon us. The story spans two decades; told both chronologically and via a series of flashbacks. As a reader, I've found that it can at times be difficult to remain fully engaged when a story timeline moves around, but Stastny wove an elegant tapestry of love, life, and loss. Each flashback provided the reader with a glimpse into the events that affected the narrator's present psyche, allowing me to feel each emotion that the characters felt on a visceral level. If you're looking for a romance with substance, this is it. Thank you to NetGalley and BookBuzz for the eGalley.

The back and forth of this book was hard to follow. I became invested then it would flop. It was difficult to follow.

There were parts of this story that I really liked, the main characters Laurel, Rett, and Gianna have had a connection since high school and we see their lives play out with and without each other over many years. The back and forth on timelines was a bit hard to follow though and it seemed a little cliche, but overall a good read!

The blurb for this book was intriguing. I liked the story line and it was well-plotted. Unfortunately, it was also very cliché and melodramatic. The dialog when the H/h were teenagers was cringe-worthy. They separated when they were young adults and once their reunion took place 11 years later, it appeared that none of the characters matured beyond adolescence. All of the drama surrounding Laurel, Rett, and Gianna had the look and feel of contrived plot points. There were no characters, only caricatures. The switching timeline was also disconcerting—a lot of jumping back and forth. This book was not what I was expecting—DNF'd it disappointed.

Thank you the NetGalley, Tangled Willow Press, and Charissa Stastny for an ARC of 'A Wrinkle in Forever' in exchange for an honest and voluntary review.
