Unfortunately I really struggled to get through this one. I felt some disconnect between the first book and this book. It was off to a slow start, and at times throughout it felt really disjointed.

Sadly, I did not care for this book at all. To the point that I actually gave up on it. I generally do not like to leave any book unfinished, but I just could not bring myself to continue to try with this one. Perhaps it was because this is a second book and I never read the first one, but I don't feel like that would have helped much. There wasn't anything in the first quarter of this book to keep my interest. I could not identify with any of the characters, the store seemed to bounce around into parts unknown.

This was hunger games, meets Sci-fi, The characters were flawless, and the writing was spectacular, I have never read a book that put me at the edge of my seat!

Fantastic read. It was interesting sinister exciting. It was well written. Hard to put down. Love when a book sucks you in. As this one did.

Interesting, unique book. Definitely an one-of -a-kind book. not my normal genre, but i was pleasantly surprised. would read more by Sarah Elkins.
