This was a quick read that was light on plot and character development but heavy on the heat, which is what this author delivers well. If you enjoy scorching hot stories to read then I recommend.

I would love a few Toy soldiers by Trinity Blacio.
Turtle Kreps restored old toys, selling them on the Internet. She hid her scared face most of the time because people were crueler than she would like to admit. But she wasn’t expecting her silly little Christmas wish to come true.
A brilliant short read. I loved the story. This is one of my favourite authors. 5*.

I was given this book to read by NetGalley, lucky me!! Trinity Blacio books are a fast, hot read, not for teens. She has a world with multiple books within multiple books.and still trying to find the first one in series. Yet I love her world it does not hold you back from starting with any book . Please keep them coming!!!

This is my first book by this author and I enjoyed it.. this was a short enjoyable story.
The main character has a scar on the side of her face and stays in her home to not hear comments or have people stare at her.. she just wants to be loved ... she adopts a boy who has cancer and who has been abused. She wants to show him how someone should be loved from a mother.. she has been more of a mother then his own.. the boys only family is 4 uncle's who come to meet him and to find out more about the lady who has adopted their nephew..
Good story line, great short read.. I really did enjoy this

Turtle is hopeful she will gain a son this Christmas. But there may be a small wrench in that plan. Will a small Christmas wish save the day?
I Would Love a Few Toy Soldiers is a quick holiday read by Trinity Blacio. I enjoyed meeting Turtle. She has hidden from the world until she meets a child that needs her. I loved seeing just how big Turtle's heart is even as she stands to loose her heart's desire. I loved that Ms. Blacio did not allow all Turtle's hopes to be dashed. She gave Turtle more than she expected. I enjoyed seeing Trutle fight the way Dirk, Arend, Baston and Joren made her feel. They were completely unexpected. I loved seeing them give Turtle something she didn't quite realize was missing. I thoroughly enjoyed how quickly the brothers made their claim of both Turtle and Bret.
This is an enjoyable quick read that I hope Ms. Blacio will build upon in the future.

Turtle Kreps has become an introvert after surviving trauma and wants to help others. While helping out at a children's hospital she comes across Bret who was also abused and is battling cancer. And now she wants to bring him home and be his family. In comes Bret's four uncles who decide not only do they want to help Bret recover but they also decide they want to be a family with Turtle.

With being so short I found it hard to really connect with any of the characters but also didn't give room for all to be present.

Most definitely a book for 18+. Short and simple allowing to be reas in a single day.

I was provided a free copy through Netgalley by Riverdale Avenue Books in return for my review, all opinion and comments are my own.

Toy soldiers was a short novella from Trinity Blacio. It was a great new storyline from her. While it is a multiple menage it is unique and a sweet story behind it. I loved the characters and hope there is more to come. I hope we see more of the brothers and their team. I also want to know more about Turtle and how she came to be there. All around it drew me in and made me want more!

This short story shows that some Christmas wishes come true - only sometimes different than you think.

Turtle had a rough life but she set up a toy shop and refurbished and donated a lot of the toys she rehabbed to children's hospitals. She sold some to make money but this was her way of doing something meaningful. Turtle met a little boy in the cancer ward of one of the hospitals and applied to adopt him when she found out he was all alone. When she found out she had been approved for the adoption she was thrilled. But then his uncle's came around to check her out and make sure their nephew would have a good home.

Dirk and his brothers check Turtle out to make sure she's a good person and can take care of their nephew. At first I didn't understand why they didn't just take their nephew but they're soldiers and still have some time to serve so they wouldn't be home to take care of him.

Once they meet Turtle, they seemed to know right away that things are going to change for them and for her. They make it clear pretty much the same day that they meet her that they are attracted to her and want to stay with her and their nephew. This was a novella so the romance or lust is fast, too fast for me to actually enjoy it. Dirk especially is very domineering and once he and his brothers find that they want her and want to make a life with her, they let her know and she just fell into their laps. While it wasn't very believable, it was romantic and Turtle seemed happy so it was a fun read in the end.

Disclosure: I was given an ARC via NetGalley but all opinions and thoughts are my own.

A short story with an interesting twist. This is an erotic novella of one women and the four brothers who share her. I liked the concept, but I wish it was longer and had more developed story line. I enjoyed it and recommend it if you want a quick sexy story.

This is a cute idea of a story but there were so many parts I was confused over or left hanging. The pizza dinner at the end, it just didn’t make any sense. What happen to the hunters and the cabin and his team of men that were going to come in? Did they go visit the sister? Is she in prison? What about early in the book the Deke said they would found the person who caused scars on her? If your going to have a short story like this don’t leave the reader hanging with all these questions in the end. Wrap it up. Two of the brothers and her never got together too. Just a good concert of a story but it needed more.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher, Riverdale Avenue Books, via NetGalley and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

This was a sexy little read. Turtle is a scarred young woman who wishes to adopt a young boy that is in the hospital with cancer. His parents also abuse the boy, Bret. It is Christmas time and Turtle wishes to make Christmas perfect for Bret. She restores vintage toys. She spies a toy soldier and wishes for a few toy soldiers of her own. Be careful what you wish for as 4 military men who happen to be Bret's uncles pay her a visit.

The story is one that you can read in a very short time as you will be glued to your e-reader like I was. This is a steamy read so I can only recommend this story to anyone over the age of 18.

This was a fun Christmas novella. Be careful what you wish for or Santa might grant your wish and you end up with 4 hot soldiers. I liked the premise of this one with everyone making a new (if something unconventional) family for Christmas

This is a super short read but is great fun for the holiday season

Turtle restores old toys and she wants to have an impact on someones life so she makes a wish She wants to adopt Bret this boy has had a hard life he has battled cancer and he is physically scarred after what his mother did to him something Turtle can understand as she is scarred as well and knows how nasty people can be. What she didn't expect is to get Bret's four alpha uncles as part of the deal what is she supposed to do with four military men like the Lankkamp brothers.

Turtle restores toys, when she’s not volunteering at the hospital. While restoring a toy soldier she made a wish. Does she get it?

I read and reviewed this advanced complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley

An adorable quick read about wishing and hoping for more than you bargained for. Turtle is hoping to foster an abused little boy who is fighting cancer. Wishing on a toy soldier for help an strength brings the boys four uncles out of the woodwork. Will this mean his real family will take him? Or will all four men decide that not only do they want the boy but they want Turtle as well. Alpha men always make a story better and this holiday one is no exception. This was my first novella by this author but it wil not be my last.

I Would Love A Few Toy Soldiers, is a perfect length to read while having a bubble bath or relaxing before bed. Short and to the point.

Really short and seemed unfinished. I was expecting some kind of danger that Turtle would have to be rescued from but nothing. A bit disappointing.

I would Love a Few Toy Soldiers by Trinity Blacio

Turtle Kreps has been through a lot but has hopes for her future. Little does she know that her Christmas wish will come true and be a whole lot more than she thought it would be. Not only will she adopt a child but will also gain a much larger family than she thought she would. This is a happily ever after romance with four men and a little lady that all should have a happily ever after together.

What I liked:
* Turtle: seems to be a loving warm and caring woman with a heart of gold
* Lankkamp brothers: four alpha males with soldier backgrounds working to make things right in the world
* Bret: Definitely worthy of a loving family
* Short in word count but perfectly fine and fun to read

What I might have liked:
* More: about the brothers, about Turtle, about Bret, about the before and what will come – wondering if it might be only part of the story and if there is more to come.

Thank you to NetGalley and ??? for the ARC – This is my honest review.

3-4 Stars
