Arriving in Italy for his godfather's funeral, Salvatore meets local seamstress Nicolina and is swept away by their mutual attraction. Although their lives are very different they eventually find a way to be together for the long term in this satisfying story.

This was an OK read for me. I struggled with getting into it. The heroine was weak and there was to much manipulation for my liking. However, there was definitely sizzle between the two main characters.

I recently discovered Sharon Kendrick in the Harlequin world and am definitely enjoying her romances. In Cinderella in the Sicilian’s World we get a Cinderella rags to riches romance. Lina has always done what was expected of her. Salvatore Di Luca does not let anyone in, ever and a woman in his life is the last thing he wants. But when they meet and have a steamy encounter, Lina’s life is forever changed. She asks to go to America with him to start a new life, but he can’t seem to let her go, but can he ever truly trust her? A traditional harlequin romance to get lost in!

Happy reading!

Cinderella in the Sicilian's World Sharon Kendrick is the story of Salvatore and Lina.
Salvatore has come to the Italian village of Caltarina for his god father's funeral. Salvatore ends up meeting Lina and they have a hot encounter together when they passion takes over. Lina lives Cinderella story because she works her fingers to the bone for her cruel mother. Lina gets the ideal to have Salvatore take her to America when he leaves and that way she can start a new life. Salvatore doesn't trust Lina even though he is fully attracted to her so there is tension there because of the lack of trust. Overall enjoyed their story.

A cindrella story but I'm not sure that sure whether Salvatore is the fairy god mother or if Lina truly manages to pull off a miracle and be her own fairy godmother.
Lina is working her fingers to the bone working in her mother's dressmaking business in a small village in Sicily. Salvatore is a billionaire who comes to the village for his godfather's funeral and subsequently Lina runs into him in a luxury resort which she sneaks into her day off.
A fiery passionate night finds her winging off to the US aboard Salvatore's private jet and accommodated in a guest cottage on his estate while she tries to figure out how to make a living. A chance encounter with a fashion diva and her handmade bags are flying off the shelves and she's an overnight success. Truly a rags to riches story.
Salvatore in the meantime is not exactly happy both with his inability to put her out of his bed or her success. Harlequins are quick impossible love stories that make a reader pause in a moment of time. This one improbable as it is definitely does that.

Lina is from a small Sicilian village. Salvatore is there for the funeral of his godfather. A chance encounter turns in to a blazing flame. You have betrayal, love, hate, and hot sex in this book. It is a short, quick read that most any reader can enjoy.

I struggled with this one.

Struggled with the story line and how it played out.

The heroine and her request to go to America with the hero just didn't sit well with me.

His response and her manipulation/pressure for him to take her really bothered me. I cringed for her and the way she went about it.

She comes from a poor and humble beginnings. She has a talent for designs that she creates for her mother. But her goal is to make it big. So her goal was to make it big in America and the hero was her ticket. He helps with connections. She does make a name for herself and the two eventually work out their differences and have their HEA.

The interaction between the two as they develop their relationship felt flat. I didn't see any romance and fell any real emotional connection. This has recently become more of a pattern with this author. Somewhat frustrating.
