What's in a name? Everything is your name is Jessica Williams! This is a super fun story about a group of girls with the same name - Jessica Williams. The story is intriguing, unique and full of twists and turns. I won't give away anything to spoil the book but it's really a page turner. The characters, even with the same name are unique and interesting. The back story of the LOT is also fascinating and has an interesting weave through the main story. Overall I really enjoyed this book. The only thing that stopped me from giving it a five is that at times it did get confusing because of the same name characters, the author did give them nicknames but when it got up to five, it was a bit confusing. Overall - totally great!

I was hooked from the very first chapter. There are more than 1 Jessica Williams with the same birth date lol I mean wow! I can relate but not with the same birth date just name and not the dad name. My name is pretty common here in Malaysia but my dad's name pretty rare😂 Btw yeah this story is about identity theft and stealing money.

Jessica found another Jessica which she called Jessica two at the airport coincidentally. After she come back from her vacation, she found out that all her money has been withdrawn from her bank account by Jessica two. She wanted to track down and confront Jessica two after gathering another Jessica who were scammed like her.

Damn Jessica letter to Liam broke my heart. I had to stop reading for a minute to catch my breath. The twists goshh I didn't see that coming at all. I was rooting for them pfttt and I was like what the hell did I just read?

Thank you Netgalley for You Can't Catch Me ARC!

I enjoyed the drama and tension in this book. The plot is tight and the various characters are well drawn (even if a few of them have the same name). I liked the variation of timelines between what Jessica is doing about her revenge and then mixing it up with her previous life in the Land of Todd cult. The ending surprised me and made me rethink parts of the book - very clever. A good solid four stars.

With many thrillers feeling very basic and formulaic for me lately it’s getting harder and harder for me to find authors that I can truly count on to deliver solid books time and time again. CM is one of those rare authors for me, each of her books feels different from the last and they’ve all been highly entertaining and compulsive reads for me.

If a book has anything cult related in the plot I’m instantly interested and then the idea of meeting a total stranger who not only has the exact same name but also the exact same birthday really just piqued my interest even more. That was just the tip of the iceberg y’all, this one was WILD and kept me on my toes the whole time. It’s one big game of cat and mouse that never once faltered or let off the gas. If like me you’ve had trouble lately with finding a book to hold your attention then give this a try because it worked for me!

Have you ever read a book that you thought would make a much better TV series than a novel? That’s how I felt the whole time I was reading this book..

After Jessica was rescued from a cult by Liam, a private detective, 12 years ago she has worked hard to rebuild her life and career and reintegrate into normal society. Everything was going pretty well until a chance meeting in an airport with a woman with the exact same name and birth date, leaves her penniless and angry.

Not someone to take being conned lying down, Jess formulates a plan to try and set a trap for Jessica 2, which involves tracking down some other women with the same name and birthday and tempting her to try the same con again. But the path to revenge never runs smoothly and there are some clever twists and turns in the plot before we finally find out the truth of Jessica 2’s identity and motives.

A lot happens in this book and it has some really good twists, none of which I saw coming at all. My main problems with it (and they’re fairly major ones) were that I found the plot completely unbelievable, and I struggled to identify with any of the characters. Yes, it’s tightly woven and well thought out, and it’s totally readable but I just couldn’t get past my issues with the premise.

And yet. I can imagine myself being totally immersed in a Netflix series based on this book. Double standards? Probably. I suppose I just want different things from and have different expectations of my books and TV series’. All in all, fairly entertaining but not my favourite.

What happens when two women with the same name and same birthdate meet by chance in an airport bar? They get to know each other. That’s what happens to Jessica Williams on her way out of town for a much-needed vacation after a mistake derails her budding career as a journalist, though she managed to get a nice settlement on her way out. After going offline for a week, she comes back to find that “Jessica Two” emptied her accounts using all the information she garnered from their conversation and her cellphone. Jess has already escaped a cult and isn’t about to let someone take anything more from her, so she starts tracking down other victims, and possible victims, to catch the thief and get their money back.
Full of twists and turns, I enjoyed the ride until the very last page and the shocking and unexpected conclusion. YOU CAN’T CATCH ME by Catherine MacKenzie was a well-written story with a fully developed main character and interesting secondary characters. The premise was original and gripping. This is MacKenzie’s tenth novel, and my third by her. She has quickly become a “don’t miss” author for me because her novels are original and always keep me tight in their grip until the end.
Thanks to the Publisher and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this novel. All opinions are my own.

What seems to start as a clear-cut case of identity theft turns into mistaken identity--again, and again, and yet again--in the latest from Catherine McKenzie. Every new character we meet has the same name--and the same laser-focus on outsmarting the others. Original, timely, and twisty, you won't guess how this one will end.

I was laughing my butt off when I noticed that this main character shared my name. I mean how cool is that? This one started off with a bang and kept that pacing throughout the entire story. I really enjoyed how it all unfolded and the characters. I would totally love a prequel story to this one about Jessica's life living in the Cult and how she got out. I know that this book goes over some of that but I would have loved something more in depth.

The characters in this one were fab and what you would normally get from this kind of title. I hope to pick up Catherine's next one because it sounds so freaking good. This one though if you are looking for well developed characters and a well rounded story to keep you on your toes check this one out.

Thank you Netgalley, Lake Union Publishing and Catherine McKenzie.
What a suspenseful tale this was: life in a cult, identity theft, revenge mix it all together and you get this great story.
Full of twist and turns and a totally unexpected ending.
Thank you Catherine McKenzie for this great story. 4 stars.

Catherine Mckenzie is one of my favorite authors. I have read her other books Ill Never Tell, and The Good Liar and I loved them both! I didn't love You cant catch me quite as much . I felt the story as a whole was unbelievable and far fetched. I was disappointed to find myself losing interest pretty early on which surprised me .
I do love the way she writes. The dialoge was amusing at times. I felt that I couldn't get behind the story of all these people with the same name being ripped off by a woman pretending to have their name.
I can't recommend this book. But I do recommend her as a writer. She is excellent.

Happy belated publication date to You Can’t Catch Me by @catherinemckenzieauthor I absolutely loved The Good Liar ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️so I jumped at the chance to read her newest book You Can’t Catch Me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Short synopsis-this one is about a woman who was raised in and escaped a cult, later finds out a woman with her same name has drained her bank account, and brings together a group of women, that also share her name, to catch her.

This novel is extremely well written, it’s fast paced, addictive and was a really quick read for me. Catherine McKenzie is a great writer and I can not wait to read more from her.

I would recommend this one to those who enjoy stories that involve cults, those who enjoy cat and mouse stories, and Catherine McKenzie fans.

This one is available now and available on kindle unlimited as well!

The premise of an ex-cult member, Jessica, being involved in a case of identity theft is a unique premise for a book. The author's writing was full of twists and turns, which made this an enjoyable read.

Just finished and wow! what a superb psychological suspense novel!
There are some great twists that I didn't see coming, and I loved how everything wrapped up in the end. Even though I have nothing in common with Jessica (the OG) I could really relate to her feelings and how they manifested in her adult life. Her upbringing in a cult was fascinating and I liked the way the author wove together her experiences during and after the cult with the events occurring in the present day.
I love a good revenge story, and this one has it in spades. I didn't like the plot for a while because people who are wrongfully accused of something is not a favorite trope of mine, but that didn't feature too heavily so I was able to set it aside for the greater tale.
A solidly fascinating book with great twists is always welcome entertainment for me. Great job Catherine McKenzie.

In a nutshell, I loved it. I read the entire book in 2 nights and was hardly able to put it down after night one. Three things about Catherine McKenzie's books- you can never stop reading them, you never see the ending coming and each one is so unique that there is no pattern to her writing where you can trace how it will all wrap up!
Catherine has the gift to take a well-known subject such as impersonation and turn it into a page-turning wild ride. I am a fan for life!
Thank you to Lake Union, NetGalley and Catherine for an E-ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own and I am anxiously awaiting the next one!

A lot of writing advice says that you should start your story in the most interesting moment on the most interesting day of that character's life, and WOW! You Can't Catch Me does that so well. And it gets better from there: it's a gripping thriller that'll keep you guessing right to the end.

You Can't Catch Me drew me in right away and I read the first half in one sitting. With a story full of drama like being raised in and escaping a cult, some serious identity theft, and uncovering a scam,, what is not to like? However, my interest waned in the second half. The relationship between Liam and Jessica felt unnatural, the plot became even more unrealistic, and I couldn't figure out any connections or the general direction of the story. What I enjoy about a great suspense/mystery is putting together clues along the way and trying to figure out the story on my own. Unfortunately, I don't feel the author left ample clues for the readers to piece it together. This problem is further amplified by the fact that the book is concluded with two letters explaining the connections and the plot twist.

Twisty, absorbing, and fast-paced!

YOU CAN’T CATCH ME by CATHERINE McKENZIE is pure fun that was an extremely quick, entertaining, and brisk read. I was immediately hooked and it held my attention right to that extremely surprising and mind blowing ending.

CATHERINE McKENZIE delivers an engrossing, intriguing, and cleverly plotted story here with some pretty impressive twists and turns. I absolutely loved the short chapters and the snappy dialogue here which made me read this one quite quickly. I totally devoured it.

It was so nice to read a book that was a page-turner and fully held my attention. That has not been an easy task lately and I’m so happy that this one grabbed me right from the very first page. Love Catherine McKenzie and I highly recommend it!

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Lake Union Publishing for my eGalley.

This was definitely a page turner! Overall I enjoyed but some sections felt too drawn out. I also found some of the “twists” not very believable. I sped through it but it will probably be one I don’t remember by the end of the year.
