What a fun book! This was a modern update of the classic Snow White fairy tale. I really enjoyed the choice of changing the seven dwarfs to robots. This was a funny and engaging children's novel. It's a great option for students who are trying to find new interests. I loved the illustrations and found it very accessible for most readers.

Typically, my boys aren't super excited about Snow White stories (they enjoy princess stories, but just not so much this one), but I figured I would try this one because, well, ROBOTS! :)

The robot switch-up was entertaining, and we all enjoyed the old-yet-new story, illustrations and all.

A modern take on a traditional fairy tale. Snow White is send to space and the story starts from there.. It has parts of the traditional tale but offer a version that is different. My daughter loved reading this book. A fun series to develop children imagination by using a traditional tale as a starting block. Thanks netgalley for letting me review this book.

A modern, maybe even futuristic take on the traditional well loved fairy tale.

This retelling takes Snow White to space and the queen seeks approval from her viewscreen instead of her mirror. Snow creates her robots to help her using broken space ship parts.

I really enjoyed this retelling as it gave Snow White a whole new lease of life. It would definitely fit in with our Fairy Tales topic at school where we take a traditional tale and explore retellings before writing our own.

With bright pictures and exciting characters, and a bit of a STEM theme, this would be a great addition to our collection.

I received an eARC of this book from the publishers via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Pretty cool book I enjoyed the vivid story and art. Great read! I live the idea of modernizing things and making something new again.

I really enjoyed this twist on Snow White, putting her in space! This doesn't try to follow the original tale too closely, just the bare bones are present, and the scary parts are toned way down. The Evil Space Queen (who is Snow White's mother rather than step-mother) tries to strand Snow White on a remote planet instead of trying to kill her, and is put to sleep for a thousand years at the end instead of killed. Snow is a fun character in this, very industrious! The artwork is colorful and interesting, with lots of detail. A fun series!

Well if this take on Snow White in space isn't the cutest ever! I mean who doesn't love the line:
"Viewscreen, viewscreen, who is doing best of all?"
That's right, no beauty obsession here; just female engineers making robots and space stuff. Additionally this time our 'witch' is Snow White's actual Mother; no evil stepmother to be found here. And the 'dwarves' are just perfect. But I can't say anymore or it will spoil the surprise and take away the fun.

I love this little series of Twisted Fairy Tales that Arcturus Publishing has recently started coming out with. This is my second one and I gotta say if the rest are even half as good as Snow White and the Seven Robots then they'll all be great. Easy enough to be read by children just learning to read, but short enough for a longer read aloud choice. Lovely illustrations throughout help break the pages up so children don't feel overwhelmed by too much text on the page.

I have one complaint about Snow White, and that is that she did no readings of the strange planet she ended up on to make sure she could breathe the air. This is obvious space travel 101 to me. Oh wait, unless we are on Star Trek planets where the air is always safe (lol).

I'm really looking forward to more in this adorable series; and these are for sure going to be gifts for little ones I know in the near future!

5☆ A Modern twist on a classic fairytale, that's Enchanting, Fun, Entertaining and beautifully illustrated.

Snow White and the Seven Robots is a fun and Entertaining, modern twist on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs story.

The evil Star Queen is not happy that no matter how evil she is Snow White always comes out on top.

Everytime Star Queen asks her Viewscreen, who is doing best of all?
It always replies Snow White.

So she hatches an Evil plan tricking Snow White into thinking she's boarding a space ship to visit Prince Cosmos. Only the Star Queen has wired the Space ship to dump Snow White into nowhere land.

But Snow White was far to clever for the evil plan and she tinkered with the wires till she lands the space ship into Planet Smartie.

But Planet Smartie isn't entirely safe, making a deal with the strange creatures, she builds seven clever robots to help save Planet Smarties and keep her from being eaten.

But Star Queen finds out and hatches another Evil Plan..... can Snow White and her Seven Robots survive Star Queens latest plan? Or will Snow White pay for helping Planet Smartie? Will Snow White ever meet Prince Cosmos?

I thoroughly enjoyed the modern twist to this fun and Entertaining Classic Fairytale.
The classic fairytale stories are overdone and can sometimes be too samey, but this one is imaginative, fun, and I loved the use of space, Enchanting creatures and giving Snow White a purposeful job. Which shows women can do mechanics and gardening etc...

I also liked this message :-
“Doing best means being kind and helpful, not showing off and bullying people.”
It gives a strong message that we shouldn't be unkind to people, we need to help each other, which is so important.

The Illustrations are wonderful and Enchanting and really helped capture ones imagination.
I would recommend this book for children aged 6+
I highly recommend reading this fabulous book and I can't wait to read more from this Author!

This is another great fairy tale with a twist.

This story takes place in space. Snow White has a talent for building robots. The evil queen sends her away, since she has been told by her “space book” screen that Snow White is the best. I liked these space and technology elements of the story.

There was a different twist to the story because the evil queen sends fruit robots to put Snow White to sleep, rather than giving her an apple. The fruit shoots a poison dart at her, and the only way to wake her is to remove it. This is another way a technological element replaced the magic of the original fairytale.

This was a great story!

I had a lot of fun reading this book. This version put tons of clever spins on this classic tale. I will admit it wasn’t always clear what was going to happen next, and that was part of the fun. As this story came to its conclusion, things ended in an exciting new way. If you love Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs then you should definitely check this one out.

I want to start off by saying thank you for the opportunity to read and review this book, it was a very good read easy to follow along with storyline and characters. This was a new author for me but I very much enjoyed it, thank you for the opportunity and I look forward to reading more by this author again. I highly recommend this book to everybody.

I liked that in this version, not only is Snow White kind and warm but she is also a computer engineer genius. I also liked that Snow White is quite self sufficient and doesn't fully rely on others to save her. I also unfortunately that the attempt to make this book more modern, fell flat.

My two year old loved reading this at bed time. It was original, but still kept to the same story, with minimal changes, but just enough to make it come back to life. The illustrations were fun, and bright, and we broke it up into three nights so we enjoyed it together longer. He loved it.

This was a great quick read for my class of 6 to 7 year olds. Snow White has been cleverly updated (and the evil queen is no longer a stepmother) to the future, where the evil queen checks out Spacebook instead of the magic mirror. Snow White is abandoned in space, but lands on a planet where she creates seven robots from her smashed spacecraft. A nice moral about being kind, not jealous, and a great companion to the traditional tale.

This was a super cute version of the classic fairy tale. My five year old was enthralled, my three year old listened to the whole story but I would maybe break it up into two parts when reading it to her again.

Read this book with my 3 year old son at bedtime and we thoroughly enjoyed the concept of robots instead of dwarves.

The illustrations in the book made it very easy for him to understand what is going on in the story and was able to point out things like the Star Queen’s pet snake.

It still sticks to the original fairy tale but is twisted as the book states.

Definitely would recommend to parents who read stories to their children or young readers who are trying to progress with their reading skill

I love a fun, modern twist on fairy tales, so this addition to the Snow White lore was a lovely surprise!

Snow White doesn't have dwarves in this sci-fin inspired tale, she has robots! Score 1 for STEM lovers everywhere! Instead of an Evil Queen, there's a wicked Star Queen (who looks wickedly cool in all of the best yet evil ways!). Star Queen wants Snow White out of the way so she can be the best overall! Also, Prince Cosmo!

This is a cute little story of friendship and robots. It's definitely a fun twist on the typical tale and would be a great addition to a little friend's bookshelf. The fact that Snow White can take care of herself quite well is nice - there's no crazy true love kisses, but there is lots of engineering. The story is overall quite positive and very smart.

I did really enjoy the pictures and art. I think that's the strong point of this story. It felt very magical and full of whimsy.

I found this Twisted Fairy Tale wasn't as easy to follow as the other tales. Perhaps I just didn't enjoy this version as much. Each story is going to hit well with different audiences. In all honesty, I can't point out a bad thing about it. Maybe I've just read too many Snow White stories.

Three out of five stars.

Thank you NetGalley and Arcturus Publishing for this wonderful opportunity to pick up this book!

This was a cute children's book that was really a twisted tale. Not in the way I expected it, but not in a bad way either. This book was funny, easy to read, and will most likely be lovingly read to kids by parents.

I read yet another twisted fairy tale and this time it was Snow White and the Seven Robots by Stewart Ross via Netgalley. The story which is set in space begins with the Star Queen being very jealous of Snow White who was not only beautiful but was also handy with a screwdriver. I am totally in love with these stories and can't wait to read more of them and believe that kids and adults would enjoy these. I am giving this wonderful book 5 stars as it is highly entertaining.
