This is a fun version of Snow White. It's close enough to the original that it would be a good compare and contrast reading, but it's just enough different that it wasn't a boring rehash. This was a delightful surprise.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I loved the fact it was a modern twist on a classic tale, I think children will find that amusing but also it will encourage them to read it as it familiar to them. I also liked that Snow White was a strong female character and an engineer. Thanks for the opportunity to read, I shall be encouraging others to read it and sharing it with my class.

This delightful twist on a classic fairy tale was clever and fun to read. The illustrations are engaging and beautiful and convey the whimsy of the story. I loved the way the characters we know and love are changed and adapted into an interstellar setting and how Snow White takes charge of her situation and is able to use her engineering smarts to help solve her problems. It's a lovely book that young readers will really enjoy.

My daughter liked this the least out of all the twisted fairy tale books. She still enjoyed it overall, and found it to be a good story.

Snow White and the seven robots is a modern futuristic take on Snow White with all the old concepts.

I enjoyed this book it was nice and light but I would say too old for younger readers because of a few of the aspects in the first few pages but definitely for slightly older children.

Also box was my favourite character ever - adorable.

STEM focused books are what librarians are looking for currently. So I was excited by this adaptation of a classic fairytale involving robots. Unfortunately, I was confused by the plotline and thought it was a little too wordy for a picture book. Children ages 6- 9 will enjoy this.

When the wicked Star Queen shipwrecks her daughter, Snow White, on a remote forest planet, the plucky princess uses her engineering know-how to rebuild her ruined spacecraft into robot helpers! Can she and her mechanical friends find a way to defeat the Star Queen once and for all?

Snow White and the Seven Robots is of course a retelling of Snow White. I liked the illustrations and that Snow White was clever and kind, and that romance was not involved at all, although her good friend the prince was involved toward the end. Snow's ingenuity and determination was nice, but the whole think felt a little flat and forced for me. I can see some young readers enjoying it, as it is well illustrated, but it is not one that I will be recommending regularly.

I requested this book and a second from the series in the same day- because I love fairytale retellings. I have seen some great ones for kids, my favorite still being Interstellar Cinderella by Deborah Underwood. I know they will not all be on that level, but generally I still find most of them to be fun reads. I do not expect to read more from this series after these two reviews are done.

I just loved it sooo much. This book is a really cute twist of the original tale of Snow White.
Those little changes made the story completely different. Without making love and beauty so important, the author made the story even better. What is more, the illustrations were super cute and stunning.

This is a modern story about Snow White who is clever and an engineer. In this story her stepmother is the Star Queen who wants to be the best. However, like the original story of when she tries to get rid of Snow White, again things don't go according to her plans and Snow White shows that she is the best at being kind and helpful to those that need it.

I think this would be suitable for able readers in Year 2 or Year 3 because of the content, length of the story book and the use of dialogues. It has colourful pictures to accompany it.

Snow White and the Seven Robots is a wild retelling of the classic we grew up in. Readers will love the space theme, aliens, and adorable-looking robots.

In my opinion, I thought the story was a bit choppy. However, I would utilize the story if I were comparing fairy tales versions with my students. Young readers will easily be able to make connections between the classic fairy-tale and this galatic-version.

This is a fun twist on the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Set in space, there are also modern twists such as ‘Spacebook’, and the addition of the darling robots was perfect. This is a great read for those ages 6 to 8. They will be drawn not only to the story but also to the colorful illustrations. I found myself smiling the entire time that I was reading this story. The vocabulary is easy for young children to understand, and the storyline of Snow White in space is engaging and fun to read. A very enjoyable take on a classic fairy tale. As an upper KS2 teacher, I can see lots of my class enjoying this book. It has humour, good depth of vocabulary to extend understanding and an engaging storyline and illustrations. It follows the familiar story of Snow White but changing the setting to space and making the story much more futuristic gives it a new lease of life. Definitely one to add to the class library.

Twisted Fairy Tales? Snow White in a new setting? This time with robots and space? I am in. I am always hunting around for retellings of my favourite fairy tales and this one seemed delightful. I am also excited about the fact there are going to be more books like this. I cannot wait to see what else will get the Twisted Fairy Tales treatment *hopes for Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretel, Sleeping Beauty*.

I have to say I thought, given the length, that this would be a picture book, but it is not? Or maybe my ADE messed up things, that also happens a lot. I still had fun, but I had to change my expectations a bit and that took some minutes.

I loved the plan of the evil queen (who had the awesome name of Star Queen). It still holds the basic line of getting rid of Snow White so that the queen is the best, it doesn't have any murder or plans of murder. Instead Snow White is being put in a rocket and the rocket will lead to nowhere. The trees are truly alive (unlike in the original were she just thought they were due to being alone in the dark). And the dwarves? Robots! Cute and adorable ones which she made. yes, she did!
Of course, just like in the original the queen finds out and I was just rubbing my hands to see what she would do. I am not a fan of her, oh no, but I was curious what would happen in this robotty and space-filled world. What kind of tricks would the queen do? I won't spoil what happens, but I can tell you I was gasping. Oh my!

The ending made me very happy and delighted. I am glad they didn't go that way, instead taking a whole different turn. *applauds*

The art? It was amazing. I love the style and I so need more of it. The style reminded me of a combination of my favourite illustrators. I hope the illustrator will work on more of these Twisted Fairy Tales stories.

All in all, if you are in for a new sort of Snow White with robots and robots, try this one out. I would recommend it to all.

The book features really cute illustrations!

My 6yr old and I loved this story, it was a good twist on the well-known fairy tale, beautifully illustrated and we liked how it was modernised.
We can't wait to read more of your stories. My daughter says she would give more stars if she could.

An updated version of the fairy tale Snow White that uses reflect girl empowerment, engineering, sustainability, Snow White's mother, (the evil Star Queen) sends her off in a rocket on the pretense of visiting Prince Cosmos, but with the plan to have Snow White "stuck in nothingness forever" When Snow White realizes the rocket isn't going to Prince Cosmos' planet, she doesn't panic but instead gets to work to rewire and change its course towards the closest planet, Planet Smartie. The inhabitants of Planet Smartie are hungry vegetables that threaten to eat Snow White. Due to the lack of water, which was stolen from the planet by Star Queen in order to build her ice palace, the "collimunchers" and "hollygrabbers" haven't had food to eat and make a deal with Snow White-- have a feast for them all in two weeks or they will eat HER. Being the ingenious, engineer she is, Snow White uses pieces and parts from her crashed and broken rocketship to build seven robot helpers: Squeaky, Creaky, Rusty, Jerky, Wonk, and Blinky. But, by the time she gets to the seventh robot, she had run out of brain parts. So, Box is "empty" but extremely kind. True to the original, Star Queen discovers that Snow White is "doing best of all" now on Planet Smartie, so the queen sends a troop of dangerous Fruit Fiends to stop her. Six robots with brains are able to distinguish the FF as evil, but Box, picks up the Apple Fruit Fiend as a gift to Snow White.
Prince Cosmos arrives on Planet Smartie looking for Snow White, only to learn she asleep for a thousand years. After devising a plan to awaken Snow White AND defeat the Star Queen, they are all very happy on Planet Smartie.
