Amish Generations is an Amish anthology by author Kathleen Fuller.

(Young Love)

Fern Gingerich had a young crush on Dan Kline. Dan was not in a hurry to marry. Young Love is a fast-moving romance.

(Long-Awaited Love)

Jemima Kurtz spent most of her life taking care of her siblings. Everett Wengerd had come back into town. It had been a decade since Jemima last saw Everett. However, they had their own ideas of each other. One was thought to be stubborn, while the other was thought to be friendly.

Long-Awaited Love is a story of forgiveness and restoration.

(Second Chance Love)

Benjamin Troyer and Lora Beth both enjoyed cooking and exchanging recipes. They were both widows who appreciated each other. They grew to know each other through letter writing. I enjoyed getting to know Ben and Lora Beth and thought they worked well together.

(Never Too Late)

Marriage is never too late for Elva and Jerald who met at a pie-eating contest. I enjoyed getting to know Elva Gingerich and Jerald Byler while reading this story of friendship and love.

I appreciated the flow of all four stories and highly recommend Amish Generations to fans of Amish romance. I give Amish Generations 5*/5*.

Unrequited love, second chance love, second love, and late love. It was great to read a variety of stories which also spanned a range of ages. I didn't feel like the "young love" story was too young since Fern is considered a spinster, but compared to the other stories they are! I loved the friendship and affection that quickly bloomed in the last story, especially with Elva's unhappy marriage. It was heartwarming to see her be appreciated for her skills as a cook and as a lovely person inside and out. Jerald is such a fun guy, and it was such a sweet match. I love when books make me feel so happy when things turn out perfectly for characters that deserve it.

1) Young love - As Fern said "having a chronicle illness was difficult, but it wasn't the end of the world.
Just the end of mei teaching career.. before it even began"
Fern friend Dan ask to the Lord: "Lord, I don't understand this. I've known this woman all mei life, and I had never given
her much thought. So why am I falling for her now"
So true, the life could be strange sometimes, events happen when you don't imagine could happen.
2) Long-awaited love - Amish young and not married people are expected to help family.
Jemima stayed one year at ther sister house to help her recovered for an illness and take care her children.
But Everett go away home for 10 years because he disagrees about many things his father think, such as his father
impose him to work at the restaurant.
"Everett had always been a thoughtful man"
The parents, for my opinion, must learn that the children have a own mind, heart, wish, interests and during the life they must try,
mistake and live their own life. These are difficult for the parents.
3) Second chance love - In amish countries widows are encourage to live with children families and also have marriage again,
in God time. Sure all the family and village people will help widows. For me, this is a nice and kind thing.
4) Never too late -
Regina invetes her best friend from Michigan, Elva, to stay at her home for a week: they go to quilt meeting, meet friend Jerald,
chat a lot. What a good friendship, lovely story!

You're so beholden to what your parents and family want from you that you don't know who you are. Or what you want.

Four different stories from four different well known Amish authors that tell the story of faith, family, and love. These Amish stories reflect what keeps us from love and what keeps us going. Always centered around faith and community, it will give you encouragement.

A Special Thank you to Harper Collins and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.

Kathleen Fuller is quickly becoming one of my favorite Amish fiction authors.  Her stories are always filled with characters that you quickly come to love.  Amish Generations is no different.  The book contains four novellas.  Each novella features a couple of a different generation.  I loved all four stories.  They're all complete and each one is a quick read.  It's hard to pick a favorite, but if I had to choose, it would be the final story.  Jerald and Elva's story was so sweet.  Jerald, a bachelor at 70, had never found the right woman.  Elva, recently widowed in her 60's, had been in a difficult marriage.  I just really loved this story and the message that it's never too late for love.   Thank you to Netgalley and HarperCollins/Zondervan for the copy.  All opinions expressed are my own.

Amish Generations is a book of short stories, four stories involving different age groups. The first being twenties, the second story had people in their thirties, the third story was people int heir late forties, and the last story was people int their sixties and seventies. Each was an entertaining story to read, but they each made me wish for a longer story. I greatly enjoyed reading each one, though. Great reading!

Young Love
11 years is a really long time to have a rush on someone but I liked how Fern and Dan's love story turned out.

Long Awaited Love
Everett and Jemima with their history were still able to have a future filled with love and second chances for both of them. I loved how Everett stood up for Jemima telling her the truth even though she didn't want to hear it.

Second Chance.
I really liked how Lora and Beth's second chance love story started with correspondence through letters. Theirs was a delightful read.

Never too late.
Jarald and Elva never thought they could find love until they met each other. I admired the courage it took them despite their ages. Tear-jerking story of love found and second chances.

Really amazing collection of short stories.

I received a copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.

Amish Generations is a compilation of four nice stories by Kathleen Fuller. Each of the stories focuses on two people of the Amish faith that come together . These are good clean stories that are easy to read. Each of the couples have obstacles they need to over come to move forward.

In Young Love, Fern has secretly had a crush on Dan for years and now that he is no longer committed to someone else, Fern needs to trust him enough to tell him about her hidden health condition.

In Long-Awaited Love, Jemima needs to assert herself with her family to allow them to have a life of her own. Everett needs to deal with the relationship with his father.

In Second-Chance Love, Lora Beth and Benjamin both have children that want them to move in with them, now that they are single again. They both need to make decisions based on their needs and not on what their children want.

In Never Too Late, Elva did not have the best first marriage. When her husband died, she planned to stay alone. But when she meets Jerald, she realizes not every man is like her first husband.

The thing that stands out the most to me is in Long-Awaited Love. I feel so much for Jemima who was always there to help her mother and was always discouraged by her parents to get a job and make her own life. They felt she had a pretty good life living with and helping them. Another is in Never Too Late, Elva has to learn to trust again and needs to be herself and experience happiness.
