An enemies to lover story. The final book in the interconnected Dumonts series. This story is full of suspense, romance, and a bang of an ending. Pascal and Gabrielle are the main characters, and the story is told from their alternating povs. Pascal hasn’t been the most likable character in the previous novels. This concerned me and I was worried I wouldn’t be able to be swayed towards his side. But as usual Karina has a way with words and Pascals transformation was gradual.
The ultimate anti-hero. A heroine out for revenge. What could possibly go wrong?

Thank you to the publishers and Netgally for the review copy. Can’t wait for Karina’s next novel

Karina Halle wraps up The Dumonts series with Disavow and she goes all out with this one! Pascal Dumont has been a dark character in the series but he finally finds his salvation in Disavow. While this book reads as a complete standalone, I highly recommend you read the first two books as the story will flow better and you'll get the full backstory on Pascal and his father, Gautier as well as the rest of the Dumonts.

Pascal is a complex character. He was raised in a cold household with an evil father and an uncaring mother. His father molded him into the man he has become but he never seemed to care before. Cold and calculating, he didn't care who he hurt as long as the consequences came out in his favor. That is until he met Gabrielle. She returned to the Dumont mansion to work as his maid with ulterior motives. She also suffered a traumatic childhood but she's come out stronger and is ready to fight for her future. Gabrielle brings out the best in Pascal and I loved watching him slowly change for the better. I wasn't sure how Halle would be able to redeem Pascal but she pulls off this feat perfectly! By the end of the story, I was completely in love with him!!

Disavow is a story of love, lust, power and revenge. It's emotional and raw and will suck you right in. It's full of secrets and suspense and will have you on the edge of your seat as the story comes to its climax. Disavow is my favorite book in The Dumonts series and I'm sad that it's come to an end. Halle did a great job wrapping it up and giving her readers the perfect ending to the series. 4.5 stars

Originally I thought this would be Renaud’s book, not Pascal’s. It did not take long to figure out where Gabrielle fit in the storyline. I’m pleased that Pascal evolved into a normal adult and came out of his father’s shadow. Definitely hot like the other books, suspenseful and thrilling. Each book centers on a different Dumont family member struggling with the evil that exists within, and miraculously falling in love. My early copy came through Netgalley and review written voluntarily.

I have to admit that I didn't expect to like Pascal in his book. Knowing him from what he did, or didn't do, in the previous books I was prepared for lots of tongue-lashing and humiliation. So I found it poetic that he would meet Gabrielle, a woman with her own secrets and pain, who taught him what it means to be humane and accepting your mistakes.

The romance was signature Karina Halle, the setting also gorgeous, from Paris to the Canary islands, and the ending very action-packed and with memorable moments. Pascal's book ends this series in high fashion and I couldn't have asked for a better ending!

Book 3 and the finale of the series I believe. I don't think this can be appreciated as a standalone as there's a continuing villain.

Pascal is the last Dumont left and dealing with his horrible father brings about a lot of self reflection. Gabrielle works for him as his assistant and maid (lol) but she's hiding things. Together they discover the good and bad in each other.

I liked the way this unfolded. It was nice getting to know Pascal and finding out he wasn't all bad. Gabrielle really complimented him and I like the way they fit. The epilogue was very good and it was nice catching up with everyone. Definitely recommend if you've read the other 2 books. If not I'd suggest starting with Olivier's book.

Not a bad read, certain parts just seemed so off the wall. Not a great story. I ended up skipping pages.

Disavow by Karina Halle is book three in her The Dumonts Series. Every book is about another couple and can be read as stand-alone. The previous books are Discretion and Disarm.
Disavow is Gabrielle and Pascal's story.
Excellent written and beautifully thought out, beautifully told.
A fast paced, dramatic read that had me in suspense til the end.
I loved the story and the characters. 4,5 Stars.

Pascal Dumont has been a villain throughout this series only second to his monster of a father. He has been described as arrogant, ruthless, cold, greedy, and even "slightly off." He is a womanizer and does not value relationships. He has even hurt and forsaken many of his own family in his quest to be the best and impress his father.

Gabrielle Caron has seen the horrors of the Dumonts up close since her mother has been a long time employee and so was she when she was younger...until she escaped. But now she is back and feels the need to be near her mother. She is feisty, stubborn, and outspoken. And she has garnered the attention of Pascal who strikes a deal with her.

There are secrets, lies, and dirty deeds in the history surrounding this house. And there are threats coming from both outside it and in it. Pascal is hunting his own answers while Gabrielle might just have her own hidden agenda. Despite Pascal being dangerous in his own right, she finds him preferable to his horrible father so she is glad to have him as a quasi shield...and an unlikely friend.

Pascal essentially has had no allies and is not used to having someone to confide in or to connect with on another level. It is foreign to him, but also has him taking a look at the man he is and the man he wants to be. They share some secrets, but some might be too damning.

Who can be trusted? Who is out for revenge? And when all is said and done, who will be friend or foe...or even still standing?

I love a good redemption story and based on his previous actions, I figured it was going to be hard to warm up to him. But I think just getting in his own head helped a lot. And Gabrielle was a catalyst for him to think outside the box. Their rapport and chemistry were great, and his acceptance of her issues while recognizing he had his own made him more human. Both of these characters were broken and stuck until they became vulnerable and supportive of the other. But the situation was complicated and messy and ramped up to one helluva climax. But Pascal won my heart and I loved these two together. They both showed growth and were good for each other. And their actions affect others in their family as well. I was so glad to get an epilogue and see progression with the other couples too.

Disavow brings the conclusion of the Dumont family story with Pascal, a character who in previous books proved to be as villainous as his father. So I was curious to see if this character would have redemption, and I think the author managed to make me cheer and even like him in the end. A good job.

The story of Pascal and Gabrielle is full of secrets, suspense, revelations and romance. A book that caught my attention from that Prologue that broke my heart to the last pages.Pascal is a dubious character, but page by page we can see subtle changes in him and him beginning to feel the weight of the things he has done in the past and reaching the realization that he did not want to be like his father. Gabrielle is someone who has gone through something horrible in the past and returns to the Dumont home with one goal in mind, only she didn't expect to be attracted to Pascal.

While I really liked the individual story of these two characters, the novel itself did not convince me. That they were attracted to each other that was visible, but in love ?! I couldn't see that.

The book is good, aside from the romance that in my opinion left a little to be desired, the book managed to capture my attention and it was one of those readings that I didn't even see time pass by being involved with the story

I really loved this book! Another great addition to a long list of great books. Karina Halle knows how to draw you in with her characters, description, and story. I couldn't put this down. I would definitely recommend!

THIS BOOK!! Best one yet! I absolutely loved Pascal’s transformation in this book. I didn’t think it possible for him to become one of my favorites, but he did. The story was amazing, just as I expected... but the ending... SWOON!! It was thrilling and exciting, and the perfect conclusion. BRAVO!!

4 stars!

The final book in The Dumonts trilogy, and Karina Halle has pulled off the almost impossible by taking series bad guy, Pascal, and not only redeeming him, but making me fall in mad love with him. A fantastic story of overcoming your past, with a gorgeous romance that left me swooning, it’s a great finish to the series, and I loved it!

For the last two books we have seen Pascal Dumont plot and scheme with his evil father to take over the family fashion dynasty. Well, now he’s got everything he ever thought he wanted, but it’s not sitting well with him. We saw a glimpse of this in the last book, but now we get to see how his and his father’s past actions have impacted on him, which had me feeling for him from the very beginning. And life is about to get even more complicated for him with the return of Gabrielle, the daughter of their family’s maid.

Gabrielle’s childhood was difficult and it only got a whole lot worse when her mother became the maid to the Dumonts. Living on the family’s property, she began working for them as a teenager, but she suffered terribly at the hands of Pascal’s father, leaving her and traumatised and emotionally scarred. She ran away when she was 18, and now eight years later she is back to seek her revenge.

With Gabrielle back in the house, Pascal immediately employs her to work with him. It’s a chemistry-filled enemies-to-friends-to-lovers setup with the two of them going head to head, but it doesn’t take long for things to begin to shift and change between them.

Gabrielle is my key.
The key to becoming a better man.
She’s the one who is worth it.

Their love story is so, so beautiful. It takes a while for things to start to happen, which was realistic, and when it does, it’s natural, passionate and emotional, and I loved how open they both were to just follow their hearts and go with it.

“You’re mine now. Every single inch of you is mine. That just sealed it. There is no escaping this.”

Of course it’s driven by a strong physical attraction, but there’s a beautiful bond between these two, and as they open up to each other, that only grows, and I love watching it all unfold.

“I’m not damaged goods,” she whispers, staring into my eyes with such intensity that I don’t dare move. “I’m just a little broken. Maybe I need you to put me back together again. It can’t hurt to try, can it?”
God, I hope she’s right.

And their sexual chemistry burns up the pages, super steamy of course, but also showing their intense emotional connection.

“You feel so fucking good, Gabrielle. I am all but lost to you.” He slowly pulls back out with a grown, but his eye contact doesn’t break. “I’m not sure I want to be found.”

The suspense and mystery that began in the first book continues, and we get to see the thrilling conclusion to the ‘whodunnit’ aspect of the series. It ties in so well to Pascal and Gabrielle’s individual journeys, giving us a really satisfying ending to that part of the story. The characters from the previous books also appear which provides some great closure to the series as a whole, and the epilogue finishes everything off beautifully.

But even with that big ending, for me, this book was all about the love story and it was fantastic. Fun, sexy, emotional and functional, it was a really beautiful read.

“Tell me I’m yours. I need to know it. I need to feel it.”
The words just come out.
“I’m yours.”

I loved this one – 4 stars.

Karina Halle ended The Dumonts series with a bang. Disavow is one of those books I was looking forward to, but was also a little nervous to read it. Pascal Dumont has not been a likable character throughout this series, but I should have known Karina could pull it off. She gave us the most delectable antihero with Pascal, and a strong and brave heroine with Gabrielle.

Gabrielle's mother is the maid for the Dumont household. Gabrielle lived there when she was a teenager, but she's been gone for quite some time. Now she's back and back with a vengeance. She's there for only one thing, revenge. She ends up getting a job assisting Pascal Dumont while back in town. This helps her to get closer to her goal.

But things aren't going as planned. What she never expected, never dreamed would happen has. She and Pascal are starting to fall for one another. Pascal isn't a bad guy, but he's done a lot of bad things in his past. Gabrielle makes him want to be different, be better. I loved these two together. Both are damaged in their own way, but also courageous. I really loved them together. They had great chemistry and growth.

If you're looking for a sexy series full of secrets, suspense, and romance, pick these up. I enjoyed all three of the books in this series and recommend them to all lovers of romantic suspense.

I’ve been waiting for Pascal’s story since the series began. I was curious as to how Karina was going to make Pascal redeemable in all his previous actions. She definitely saved the best for last. I was truly impressed with how well I fell for his charm. Gabrielle was a strong character. She really went through a lot and I felt for her. The fact that she had to go it alone truly made me respect and understand why she was going through with what she was doing. Her Mother was a real piece of work and it saddens me that she was so delusional and brainwashed by Gautier. He was just as repulsive as ever in this book…nothing had changed. Everything came full circle to create the perfect ending to the series.

Definitely my favorite of the series. I have a weakness for antiheroes and Pascal is for sure one! I loved him and Gabrielle, they truly healed each other and helped each other move on from their demons

I must admit that I was skeptical that Pascal could be redeemed in Disavow because Karina Halle did such a great job of making him a really unlikeable character in the previous two novels in this series. But Karina did what she does best--she made a believer out of me. She somehow turned him from the absolute worst to a sympathetic character and I'm going to say that creating a character like Gabrielle to transform him was crucial to me liking him. I honestly cannot even believe I'm writing the words "like him" when it comes to Pascal but here I am, writing it (I think the ending really helped get me there). The addition of a strong, albeit maybe a little delusional (only because what she thought she was capable seemed so unreasonable) Gabrielle kept Pascal on his toes and managed to soften him from most hated to actually understandable or at the very least, less horrible, in relation to his terrible past.

Disavow was a really great way to end this over the top, soap opera-ish series. It demonized the right person and brought closure to this messed up family and their significant others. I thoroughly enjoyed this escape into this world and am eager to see where Karina Halle takes us next.

Link to come when review goes live.

Disavow brings us to the end of The Dumont's twisty, soapy, indulgent, decadent, fast driving, Parisian fashion-house family drama. And I think it was the best one yet!

I was surprised when I realized Pascal was the subject of this book, considering he's been a villain throughout the series ... or has he? That's for you to decide. But I have to admit, the "villain" is more interesting than the hero any day.

The sparks between Pascal and Gabrielle (who may not exactly have heroic intentions herself) are a bit slow to start, but fiery once it gets there. The intentions, the history and back story of both characters are all revealed quickly as the saga comes to an end.

If you watched and liked shows like Dynasty, Melrose Place, even Gossip Girl, this series will feel right at home for you. It's fashion oriented, it's outrageous, it's fast paced, and it's over the top in the best possible way. 5 fun stars

A great conclusion to this series. As Pascal tries to figure out the lies and truths of his uncle’s death, he sees Gabrielle again. Their chemistry from the start drags you into this twist and turn storyline. You’ll be hooked until the end from the suspense, the need to know. A must read.

A huge thank you to NetGalley and Montlake for this wonderful advance readers copy.

I was waiting for this book for a long time and I am very very happy that I got a chance to read and review it early. This story circles around Pascal and the famous fashion Dynasty. Karina Halle has woven a tale of betrayal, lust, drama and ofcourse romance and I had a real fun time reading this. The plot and the plot history felt original. The storyline was fresh and didn't drag. The timing was good and the dialogues ,especially between the two main characters was entertaining to say the least. I loved reading it and I am wholeheartedly recommending it to all the fans of this series. Ya'll are going to love it.
Thanks for this ARC again and happy reading!

Another great Karine Halle book! Disavow is the third and final book in Halle's The Dumonts series. This third part focuses on Dumont brother Pascal and Gabrielle. Gabrielle is the daughter of Gautier Dumont's housekeeper and grew up in the household. She's had traumatic experiences in her life and is out for revenge. Pascal is Gautier's oldest son and, from what we've read in the prior two Dumont books, nearly as hated as his father. When Pascal begins receiving threatening letters, he starts working with Gabrielle to determine where the letters are coming from.

I wondered if and how Halle was going to have me invested in Pascal's story, as he's been a truly despicable character from book one. But...she did it! We learn more about Pascal's upbringing and what's made him the man he is today. Gabrielle helps to peel back more of Pascal's layers and, without providing spoilers, ultimately is a catalyst of change in his life.

This was an exciting book, suspenseful even in parts. As is traditional with Halle's books, steamy scenes abound and are not lacking! This was a perfect conclusion to The Dumont series.
