Make or Break at the Lighthouse B & B is a light and funny novel with lovable characters and a great plot. I'm normally a bit reluctant towards chick lit and romance, but I actually enjoyed this one a lot.

This book definitely made being up half the night with earache bearable.
I have to be honest, I am a huge fan of Portia’s and I am yet to read a book I have disliked. I am always instantly pulled into the pages and absolutely adore the stories as they unfold. This one has been no different. This is a gorgeous read which is guaranteed to leave you smiling.
This is one which has:
Romance ✅
Loveable characters ✅
Fantastic plot ✅

I have devoured this book in a matter of hours, it has gripped me and I have been excited to see how the story plays out.
There is literally nothing to dislike about this gorgeous, five star read. I wish I could rate this higher than five stars, it is definitely highly deserving.
A huge thank you to Portia and HQ Digital for the ARC of this book. I cannot wait to see what else 2020 holds. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Great read

At the start I was unsure if I liked Lola and her superficial life, but once she is back with her parents she seems a nicer person. Helping out locals and trying to matchmake them, will she matchmake herself?

This was a quick, fun read. At first you think the story is going to be a bit superficial with characters like Gia and Patrick but once Lola breaks her leg and moves back to Marram Bay the everything feels more grounded and realistic. Lola was a likeable lead character and I liked the little group of friends she built up during her sessions. There were some good supporting characters as well like Lola’s parents, Robbie the chef and all of the Unmatchables (especially dishy Dean). Well worth a read.

As always another great story from Portia Macintosh. I adore the writing style and the plot was well constructed

Nice, light, chick lit! I picked this up to get a bit of light reading in the middle of some heavy stuff and it fit the bill. Lola's life is broken, but she only realizes it when she actually breaks her leg and has to move back in with her parents. She's an endearing character and I enjoyed spending time in her world.

Such a fun read! True, Lola's life has gone to pot and we shouldn't relish that, but watching her navigate the waters of her old hometown, and ride the waves of various relationships, brings lots of chuckles to the reader! You'll fall in love with the characters, and find a few you'll want to slap....and you'll definitely want to visit the town of Marram Bay.

Make or Break at the lighthouse B and B is not the sort of book I’d normally read, but I’m so glad I did, I loved it, had me laughing out loud, I couldn’t put it down, finished it in an afternoon. Definitely worth reading
