This was a great book. I found it enjoyable and well done. I really like the character of Dragan. It was very interesting.

This was an ok story by an author I’ve read a few times. The synopsis sounded really good so I thought I’d give it a try…I liked Casey in the beginning (huge fan of strong heroines) and then she hooked up with Damian and became an insecure female that needed rescuing. I also didn’t like Damian at all. I really struggled with finishing this book. Do not recommend.

Fantastic continuation of this story arc.
Maeve, the nerdy loner chic, is super easy to relate to and is a fantastic match for Dragan.
There's some further progress in the overall story arc and we get a sneak peek at the next possible pairing so maybe Nico will stop being such a jerk if he gets some.

Dragan is a (sort of) shape shifting warrior turned to stone by an evil Sorcerer. Centuries of loneliness and boredom later a beautiful, quirky hacker/gamer accidentally breaks his curse. The two race across the country in search of the one man who can help them thwart the megalomaniacal schemes of that same evil sorcerer, and try to determine the fate of his 3 other brother warriors.

The world building seemed to be a bit vague, but maybe that is because I haven’t read Vampires in America yet? (Stone Warriors is a spinoff series from Vampires in America.) I’ve been collecting them, but, I haven’t gotten there yet. My myriad of questions might well be answered once I do. In any case, if you have read the other series, and won’t have my issues, or have the ability to ignore such vagaries, this is a pretty great PNR book! The world building that was clear for me was unique and a fun take on shifter/magic/vampire lore. Sure there are some cliché bits, like our FMC being a beautiful 25 year old virgin, computer genius who just happens to be an antiquities expert. But, this is PNR, if you want realism, dare I suggest you choose another genre?

PNR is often heavy on the “cheese”, but this was way to the low end of the cheesy scale. Especially for a (sort of) dragon shifter PNR. For some reason those always seem to be 10X the cheese of your average PNR. No idea why. But, in my experience, even though dragons are my hands down favorite fantastical critter, they’re rarely better than a 3 star read. This was. In fact it was close to a 5 star read for me. I really enjoyed it. I’m a very character driven reader. If I cannot like and get attached to your characters, I’m unlikely to like your book. They might be a little too perfect, and a little too chipper/friendly (especially once they reach the man they’re looking for and more characters are introduced), but I genuinely liked these characters and was happy to root for them. I will happily read on. By my count we’re due at least one more.

I received this book via NetGalley and have agreed to leave an honest review.

Dragan and his "brothers in arms" were cursed by a sorcerer a millennia ago. They were turned to stone statues and the only thing that could break the curse was a person of pure heart. Their friend and leader Nico was left alive to suffer and wonder about the fate of his friends.

Maeve works for a distant relative. She documents his collection but is basically a babysitter. She craves to be free again, not stuck in this remote house 24/7. She has seen her employer ranting, raving and cursing this particular statue, one of a big, strong man with wings.

One evening she hears strange noises and when she goes to investigate, she finds that the statue broken and Dragan standing there. She is totally freaking out as he tries to explain to her that it was her that set him free.

What I found interesting is that through this curse Dragan had the ability to understand languages which was probably done to make him suffer more as he craved freedom.

Dragan now wants to find Nico and his "brothers". Maeve's expertise on computers will be a big help. But danger does follows...

Will Dragan find those he seeks and survive? Can he keep Maeve safe?

I really enjoyed this story. Maeve and Dragan made a good team together and there were plenty of sparks between then. I loved seeing Dragan learn about the current world which was quite hilarious at times. I loved the love and respect he had for Maeve.

Great story!!

Wow! What a read! There was magic, warriors, witches, and more. I have not read the first books in the series, and I could follow along fine. However, I would know the secondary characters better if I had. I'll go back and read the other books now. I loved Mae! She was a warrior in her own right...her use of computers and electronics to fight was awesome. She was a good match for Dragan.

I've loved every book in this series and this one didn't disappoint. I particularly enjoy how the author crafts the personalities of her characters. Each one is unique and relatable. Having all the second-guessing but none of them are true introverts. They are all equal partners because that's what it takes to stand beside a warrior.
Each book can easily be read alone but I recommend the entire series.

Dragan is the 4th book in the Stone Warriors series by D.B. Reynolds. In this book, we learn why Sotiris has been so confident that Nico would never find all of his brothers. Only Sotiris's hubris is his downfall because he puts Dragan the final warrior in touch with the one who will break his curse.
Maeve has been employed by Sotiris for 3 years to catalog his collections. Ever since "she'd found herself being drawn back to her warrior, with his stoic expression, his staunch grip on the big sword in his hands, and those wings. They were fantastic". "They arched over his head, and yet accented with big deadly-looking talons at every joint"
As for Dragan "He’d treasured the girl who’d sat next to his statue day after day, who’d brought light to the darkness of his imprisonment , and soothed his battered soul. But the woman . . . this woman was so much more than that."
When Dragan is released from his curse for Maeve it's one of the craziest days.
“'I must be dreaming. That’s it, I’m asleep. Or maybe I hit my head, fell on my ass. Or my head. Whatever.' Dragan laughed, charmed at her utter lack of pretense. 'If I promise to explain, can we please sit somewhere else? I’ve been standing a very long time.' She threw up her hands. 'Sure, why not? Embrace the delusion."

Each book can easily be read alone but I recommend the entire series.

I can't wait for the next one!

Four warriors cursed to stone!
We meet Dragan and Mauve. Mauve has been drawn to the statue and being an introvert talks to the winged statue, not knowing that its alive!
This was a great story and I fell in love with them. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series!

This is the fourth book in the Stone Warrior's series.. Each book is about a different couple but there is a continuing story arc that continues through the series so it is best read in order.

This particular book is about Dragon Fiachna, the second born son of royalty that was blessed by a goddess and granted some gifts. He was cursed into a stone statue for millennia until Maeve unknowingly sets him free. From there their adventure begins.

Dragan is new to the modern world so he follows Maeve's lead most of the time but he is still sexy while he does it. He doesn't let anything hold him back and he appi9les himself to learn as much as he can quickly. Maeve is introverted and shy but she comes out of her shell to help Dragan . I enjoyed watching her character grow as she helped Dragan.

I have been enjoying this series. All the books begin in a similar fashion, with women freeing the stone warriors but then they each have their own adventure after that. There wasn't a lot of action in this story compared to others in the series but I didn't really mind it. We do get to see more of the warriors once they are reunited with each other in this book. It was nice to see them interacting with each other. They way this book left off, I know there will be at least one more book in the series and I am looking forward to it.

This is the 4th book in this series and whilst it can be read as a standalone I would recommend reading the previous books first .

The statue of stone warrior Dragan has been kept imprisoned for millennia by Sotiris , hidden from his fellow warriors and their leader , Nicodemus.
Maeve Collins works for Sotiris in his home cataloguing his collections , but having little face to face contact with
him .
She explores the many collections of artefacst the house holds and is drawn to a statue of a warrior time and again . Until one day the statue begins to crumble until only the warrior it held stands in place .
On hearing his story she determines to help reunite him with his comrades and they flee across the country , little knowing that they carry the one thing that might actually defeat Sotiris with them ……. he wants it back and sends assassins on their trail ..
Reunited with Nick and his fellow warriors it becomes clear that the war will now escalate …………….. Maeve however might just be the key to success as she has hidden talents ……… Dragan however is torn , his feelings for Maeve , and hers for him , growing stronger along with his desire to protect her .

This a fast paced , suspense filled - romantic fantasy that will enthral the reader and I look forward to what might just be the last in series - the story of Nicodemus and his lost love .

I was given an ARC of this book by Netgalley and the Publisher in exchange for an honest review

Although I haven't read the first 3 I wasn't lost with the story. Story was steady paced. Maeve and Dragan were likable along with the characters from the previous books that showed up to help. Although it was a bit wordy in parts the book held my attention. I will definitely be picking up the previous ones as well as wanting to read Nick's story.

This is the 4th book in the series and I suppose you could read it as a stand alone but the series does build on previous books so I recommend reading them in order. However, with that said they all have a very similar plot. Supernatural hero has been isolated as a statue for a 1000 years until the right set of circumstances or woman breaks the curse. The woman pretty much has no issues with a statue turning into a real live supernatural. They race off to be reunited with Nick and fall in love on the way. Don't get me wrong I actually enjoy the stories and the action but there is just something a little missing. I liked the characters although the chemistry in this one didn't knock me over. Honestly I've been more interested in Nick throughout this series then the MC's of the book.

Yay! Little over a year after I read about my stoic, brooding stone warrior Gabriel, now is the story about his brother in arms Dragan. Same as Gabriel, Damian and Kato, Dragan is trapped in stone. After centuries of being forgotten, he was put in the home of the sorcerer who actually trapped him in the stone: Sotiris.
Maeve feels that there is something strange with her employer. The cold hearted mister Sotiris. The strangest is the way he talks to the statue in his basement. As if he hates the statue, or the man it personifies. You would almost think the statue is alive. But that couldn't be, could it? Nonetheless, Maeve can't help but feel sorry for the statue for enduring all those insults. So she often sits next to the statue and reads her books out loud. As if the statue could hear her. As if... It is more comforting to Maeve than to be out in the real world. Where people mock you for being smart and nerdy.
When one day the statue actually comes to live, she learns that Dragan has been changed into stone by a curse of Sotiris. Along with 3 of his brothers in arms. Dragan doesn't know if they are still alive in this strange world. When Maeve offers to help him find his brothers, they travel around together to get to Florida, since Maeve found some intell on the internet, indicating they could be there. She never thought that she would feel comfortable with this big brooding hunky warrior. Or even fall in love. Dragan has always been seen as a freak, an outcast. Since having wings, gifted by the goddess to be his warrior, he was only used for his powers. But now Maeve looks at him as an actual human being. And he loves it. Can he hold on to her? And will he ever find his brothers? And how will Sotiris retailiate, now that he lost his statue and one of his most guarded artifacts? Find out for yourself in this read full of suspense, twist and turns, magic and romance. A great mix! Five out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc. And I'll be looking out for Nico's story, and hopefully Lilly will also get her own story.

4.5 Stars!

Yes! Each book gets better and better in this series. I was thinking Dragan may be the last since he is the final Stone Warrior---but NO! We get Nico's story as well. So happy about that.

Dragan is perhaps the most feared of all the warriors. His looks are certainly unusual. Loved that the warrior decended of Irish kings, is freed by an Irish lady. Maeve was the perfect match for him. I loved their cross country quest to find his brothers. I really liked that Dragan was patient with Maeve and that she was just so excepting of him.

Best of the series for me. Looking forward to a stunning conclusion, I hope!

Another great installment in an awesome series. This may have been the book that feels like it’s all going to end, but nope. Great warrior and a sweet nerdy introvert come together. But the epilogue gives us an insight to the next and final book and honestly that’s going to be truly epic in true D.B. R fashion.

This series is a welcome addition to the world already built by this author and I will eagerly read everything that comes out!

Dragan continues with the stone warriors, who are slowly being released from their prisons by very specific and awesome women. This time the heroine is Mae. She's taken a somewhat strange job dealing with antiquities for none other than the big bad himself. Since she's healing some relationship wounds, the solitary work suits her needs. A year in, however, and she begins to poke around out of boredom and curiosity. Her latest discover was a statue that she was warned away from, which only drew her attention further. All hell breaks loose when a kind touch frees him and sets them on an epic quest.

These two SIZZLE off the page. Their road trip has a bit of excitement, a lot of trust building, and some sexy times. All of this builds up to a big showdown, which, of course, does not bring a conclusion to the series, but gave me so many more questions! I love that each book seems to build on the last and can't wait to see what 4 warriors, their mates, the mysterious Lilli, and Nico (and his mate?) do in the final battle.
