I adore this series. Puppies, puppies and more puppies! Whats not to love? I did enjoy reading this entry of the series and though I enjoyed it, it was my lest favorite of the series. I am clearly in the minority, but I found Dawn somewhat irksome. Yes she is fun and free spirited, but I also found some of her behavior selfish and self serving. If she got an idea in her head she went full steam ahead with little care of how it would impact any one else. Rather than following the law she stole a dog putting the business that she and her sisters run that supports them all and is so very important. Her reasons are valid, her intent wonderful, but it is the execution that is wrong and for some reason annoyed me. Adam is the diametric opposite of to Dawns wildness. He is is a fabulous person. He does not allow his lack of sight get in his way and lives the best life he can. He lies to a sheriff for Dawn and falls in love with a sweet fluffernutter of a puppy that insists he cannot keep. According to Dawn that he is not keeping the pup. As far as Ada is concerned, the pup is already his! Slowly they get under each others skin, in the best way and figure it all out experiencing some fun and silly escapades. Thankfully there is of course the eventual sweet expected happily ever after. A sweet fun read. Look forward to more from this author. Definitely a feel good read.

This is the second book I have read in this series, and I'm so glad I did. Adam and Dawn's story combined with, not one, but two adorable puppies was so enjoyable! Dawn and her two sisters (their stories are the first two books in the series) run a business where they train therapy dogs for people with disabilities.

Adam, who is blind, hadn't actually signed up for a therapy dog. However, in a series of events, Dawn ended up on his doorstep with a sad, hurt Golden Retriever puppy and a sheriff. She explained to the sheriff that the puppy was going to be Adam's therapy dog. Adam backed up the story and ended up with Dawn practically living on his ranch for the six weeks it takes to train a therapy dog. According to Dawn, Gigi (or Methsulah depending on whose puppy name you are using) wasn't cut out to be a therapy dog, so she brought Uncle, a Great Dane who was in training and, according to Dawn, would be a great match for Adam.

A romance with two cute dogs is double the love in my opinion! Adam and Dawn's relationship struggles circled around Dawn being a free spirit and Adam's need to stay on the ranch (full time commitment and all that) and whether this was a casual relationship or had the potential to be something bigger. I would say the sis an Opposites Attract trope. I enjoyed watching their story unfold and evolve. I will keep reading Lucy Gilmore!

Thanks to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for an advance digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I can't say for certain, as I have only read 2 of Lucy Gilmore's 3 books, but I believe she has a thing for hard ass romantic leads that are really all squish. That's cool. So do I.

What little I saw of Dawn in the first book was very much developed out in this one in. I love her no bs attitude and the vulnerability she hides behind jokes. Adam, like previously mentioned, thinks he is a super tough alpha but he is easily won over by adorable animals and people.

Total nonsense nitpick I have: I did vaguely the same thing as Dawn when she acquired Gigi and did not get a hot cowboy out of it. Oh well, maybe I can convince my S.O. to wear a Stetson.

This has a lovely story line, I loved Dawn and Adam, Adam being blind was a big part of this story but not but did not distract you from what was going on. It kept me engaged right from the first chapter to the last. Can't wait to read the others in the series.

Thanks go to the publisher and Net-Galley for the complimentary copy of Puppy Kisses by Lucy Gilmore for the purpose of reading and reviewing prior to publication. My opinions are my own and no one has influenced me in any way.

Puppy Kisses is the third book in Ms. Gilmore’s Forever Home series. It’s a light-hearted romance with plenty of carefree moments and delightful banter between the hero and heroine. The pacing kept me engaged from the first page to the last.

Dawn Vasquez’s character is footloose and fancy free. She lives life on her own terms with no filter. She flits from one brief relationship to another until she meets the hero. He is the game changer for her, but she doesn’t want to admit it.

Adam Dearborn is an endearing hero. His blindness makes him vulnerable without making him weak. His surprising attraction to the quirky Dawn blows him away, but her offer of a no strings attached affair is too tempting to pass up. I thoroughly enjoyed his confusion over where he wants his feelings for her to go.

The romance between Dawn and Adam blazes to life early in the story and burns hot. The sexual scenes are visceral, yet filled with emotions. Although more graphic, especially in the early part of the story than my personal preference, they are absorbing. I truly wanted this great couple to find their happy ending.

If you enjoy lighted-hearted contemporary romances with engaging characters and a unique plot, then you will love Puppy Kisses as much as I did. I’ve enjoyed this delightful series and highly recommend these enjoyable novels. Happy reading!

This is the third book in this series and while I hadn't read the previous two I ad no trouble following the story line and I have to tell you that now "puppy Love" & "Puppy Christmas" will be going onto my to be read pile. This is a sweet book that draws you in and keeps you engaged throughout I love Adam and the fact that been blinded on active duty hasn't destroyed him in any way he has just accepted it and got on with life to the point that sometimes you completely forget that he is blind. Dawn is such a bright sunny character who is the perfect foil for Adam's deeper personality They are perfect for one another if they can just stop fighting over who should own a golden retriever named Gigi or is there more to the fight than either is letting on are they using her as an excuse to be in cintact with one another You will have to read to see if they get a HEA

The characters in this book were great! I loved Dawn and Adam, as well as Zeke and Phoebe. And the puppies!! 😍
I loved that the characters had already a history together, however, I wanted more backstory. Now it was just a bit random.

The pacing felt a bit off. Sometimes the story would skip parts and that made it difficult to connect to the characters.

The chemistry between Dawn and Adam was great! I loved their banter and teasing.

This is one of the cutest stories I've read in a while!!!! Utterly heartwarming, witty, charming and who can resist a hero, a heroine and dog.

This entire series so far has been such a heart warming read, a leaves a happy, sappy smile :)

Thank you to Sourcebooks Casablanca and NetGalley for this ARC.

I have been a fun of Lucy Gilmore's Service Puppies series and Puppy Kisses was a lovely end to the series.

Dawn Vasquez is the fun, carefree Vasquez sister - she doesn't take anything too seriously, her life is wild, fun and she's never in one place for too long. However things are changing around her; both her sisters have coupled up and now she finds herself alone in the house the three of them were suppose to grow old in, caring for the majority of the puppies they train to be service dogs and living a life that is slightly less chaotic than it used to be. So when she sees a puppy in danger, she rescues it, not caring about the consequences.

Adam Dearborn is a blind rancher and thoroughly enamoured with Dawn Vasquez. Most of his life is rigid, set; he needs structure and routine in order to manage without his sight but also he enjoys ranching and within that there isn't a whole lot room for spontaneity or chaos. He would love nothing more than have Dawn be a part of his life but he knows that nothing about his life matches with the life she likes to lead.

This book was lovely in the way it dealt with these two people realizing how much they needed each other and working their way together and combining their lives. This book is fairly low on the angst; the HEA isn't drawn out or overworked. Instead it feels like watching two friends you know really like each other finally realize it and come together.

This book was exactly what I wanted it to be; light and funny and sweet and steamy. A great read.

This story is as sweet as it's title hints to! I really enjoyed it! The characters are lovable and deep and I was rooting for Dawn and Adam from the get-go. Really fun story with great dialogue that kept me interested and hopeful throughout! Add in some steamy times and you've got yourself a nicely well rounded story. I'm liking what this author brings to the table very much!

This was cute. I love the heroine and her love for animals. The hero was just ok for me.
Review to come close to reales date.

Gigi rescues dogs. Adam is a rancher in need of a guide dog. They have a sexual relationship but neither thinks the other one wants anything more permanent. What will it take to bring them together?

I received an ARC from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

Lucy Gilmore is new to me, but my attention was drawn to the cute puppy on the cover of Puppy Kisses, and I was intrigued upon reading the blurb for this one and the previous book that it centered on a family that works with service dogs.

As a result, one of the most important aspects to me going in was the disability rep, and I found myself satisfied in that regard with Adam, who is blind. He’s moody, but his disability is never what defines him.

Dawn was ok too, and I like that she has a free spirit and she’s bubbly and kind of balances Adam out. Some aspects of the push/pull of the relationship were a bit annoying, but ultimately they’re a nice couple.

But the dogs are the stars of the show, and I’d happily have read a book just about them, especially mischievous Gigi, who is essentially a scene stealer, and I can see why both Dawn and Adam wanted to keep her, in spite of her misbehavior, like shoe-chewing.

This book is a lot of fun, and I’m curious to go back to read the previous books at some point. I recommend it to any dog loving romance reader.

Puppy Kisses is the third book in Lucy Gilmore’s Forever Home series and this one focuses on Dawn Vasquez and her relationship with Adam Dearborn. The wonderful thing about this endearing series, you can start anywhere and still enjoy the storyline as a standalone. Naturally, you should read all three to date but if you are just starting, you can always go back to book one without to much fuss.

Dawn and Adam complement each other perfectly. Dawn is exuberant, fun-loving, charming and a little on the stubborn side, but she always puts others needs first and has a heart of gold. Adam is all things that Dawn is not; he’s broody, stilted, and set in his ways, but he is also heart-warmingly sweet. Together this couple are amazing; Dawn embraces her insecurities, while Adam has learnt to overcome what for some would be an insurmountable disability to live a relatively normal life.

This storyline was heart-felt and emotional, while depicting a fun and light-hearted side too, and I loved all the characters who added depth and dimension to this memorable plot. Make sure to set aside some uninterrupted time, as you could easily be so absorbed into this story you will want to read it in one sitting.

Cute story. Dawn was in the service dog business and when she rescues a cute puppy she lies and says it's for her best friend's blind brother. He didn't want the dog, but couldn't see a way out of it. The puppy really grew on him and then he adopted a great dane as a service dog. Lots of puppies here. Dawn and Adam had always had the hots for each other but denied it at every turn. The story was well written and the characters were fun to read about.

Of course, the story with dogs, sassy mouth heroine, and hot stubborn cowboy will lead to an amazing read. Dawn and Adam are great characters and make a lovely couple. They fit like a puzzle, make a great balance, and bring the best in each other. There is just a problem Adam doesn't want to turn off the light in dawn by chaining her to him. A great funny story and a great beach read in hot lazy summer days.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for NetGalley

I am not usually a romance reader (I prefer zombies, explosions, space battles, etc.), but my friends at Sourcebooks are devious. They periodically send out emails inviting readers to try a new book or series at a great discount. I read the second book in this series, Puppy Christmas, after one of those emails. I thought, "Cute puppy, cute single dad, dedicated dog trainer...why not give it a try?" Of course, once I read it, I had to backtrack and read the first one and then w--a--i--t for the third one because I was hooked. (Like I said, they are devious over there at Sourcebooks.)

In this third installment, the most free-spirited of the Vasquez sisters gets into a bit of trouble while on a rescue mission with her friend. Through all the twists and turns of their getaway with the rescued dog, Dawn and her cohort wind up heading for the friend's family farm and the friend's eldest brother, Adam Dearborn. Dawn and Adam seem like a totally mismatched couple, and a neglected and sickly puppy seems a poor choice for a guide dog, but readers will be rooting for everything to work out for the characters in spite of misunderstandings, creepy stalkers, fear of harnesses (that would be the dog Gigi), and cranky neighbors.

Gilmore writes characters that are complex and believable - even when they do things like discuss the time they ran off to join the circus. Both the Vasquez and the Dearborn families have siblings that are close, but very different from each other and the interplay between the brothers and sisters is as much a part of the story as the romantic relationship or the bonding with the dogs from the Vasquez business.

Highly recommended for anyone who loves a story with a good dog (or more), and who enjoys when opposites really do attract in the best way.

This third book in the series, gives us the story of the last unattached Vazquez sister, Dawn. The sisters own a service dog training center.
Dawn is the free spirit, and risk taker of the three, or is she? While that’s what she portrays, she really is a woman who cares deeply, and will do anything for those around her.
As the story begins we find her stealing an abused dog in order to save him. Not wanting the cop that stops them to give her friend a ticket for speeding away from the location of “the crime”, she lies about to whom the dog belongs.
Adam Dearborn, is a by the book rancher, who needs a guide dog due to his blindness. When everyone convenes at the ranch, he figures out what her brother and Dawn are up to and much to everyone’s surprise, decides he wants to keep the rescued dog.
It was interesting to watch Dawn and Adam interact. That said, I have to confess that it was the least favorite of the stories in the series.
I felt I had missed some background since as the story begins , it’s assumed we know the two of them have been having a relationship for a while. It just seems to be coming out of left field. Also, during a poker game, we are not clear on how Adam is able to “read” the cards and the ending was sort of rushed.
Thus, for me, it was more of a 3.5 stars story, but having enjoyed the previous stories in the series, I will give it 4 stars.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca.
The opinions expressed are solely my own.

“Puppy Kisses”, by Lucy Gilmore (Sourcebooks Casablanca), was a delightful read, with a stoic wounded hero who breezes through life like his disability doesn’t hinder him.
Adam and Dawn are great characters and I liked them both for different reasons; their relationship is steamy and tender and their interactions are fabulous. There’s a strong, deep connection between them, emotionally and sexually.
Adam is a singular wounded hero, with almost no angst about his condition. He’s so well adapted that we sometimes forget it, although Lucy Gilmore took great care with this dimension, regularly narrating the story from his perspective.
Perhaps I was expecting more moments of Adam being encumbered by his condition.
Dawn’s boldness, “joie de vivre”, generosity and sensitivity are fascinating.
I thought this was way better than the first book, and I liked the secondary characters, too, and, of course, the adorable puppies.

This has been a fantastic series! It’s centered on three sisters who run a facility for the early training of service dogs. A commendable endeavor, plus puppies!! I adore the Vasquez sisters and have been looking forward to Dawn's story. She's an even bigger handful than I expected, but she's such a delight! She brings joy and laughter to any lives she touches and lives life unapologetically. And she's met her match in her best friend's brother, Adam Dearborn.

After their parents died, Adam had the responsibility of parenting his younger twin siblings and managing their family ranch. Having been blind for most of his life, he has adapted incredibly well for life on the ranch.

After having so much responsibility to take on at nineteen, he's lost his joy in life. He's a little too serious and curmudgeonly, but he's fine with that. Except his brother’s friend, Dawn, inserts herself into the daily life at the ranch, accompanied by two puppies and her sunshine and eternal optimism, and Adam doesn’t like it. Nor does he like his attraction to the gorgeous, petite woman who’s larger than life.

Adam and Dawn are so much fun! He's all stoicism, grump and growl, and she's an impetuous, hilarious shining light, sometimes doing the wrong thing for the right reason. She's a little out of control and a lot loveable, winning over even the most ornery of senior citizens and misbehaving cows. Even when Adam and Dawn aren’t “together“ together, they're delightfully entertaining, which only makes me love them more.

Adam and Dawn's story is pure perfection. The flawless writing, endearing characters and compelling storyline give us everything we love in our romance reading. With delightful humor, a little steam and a big ol' heap of heart, you'll love watching this seemingly unflappable cowboy fall for his free-spirited heroine.

Thanks to Sourcebook and Casablanca for the early copy of this book.
