I got an extended (50 pages) preview from Netgalley. After reading The friend zone and what happened to Sloan and I was so excited to see that she gets a new happily ever after. I can’t wait to read the rest of this book when it comes out! The preview was awesome and I loved getting to know Sloan more and her new buddy, Tucker (spoilers: it’s a dog).

On the second anniversary of the loss of her partner, a dog (Tucker) randomly jumps into the car of Sloan. After searching for the owner, he (Jason) finally makes contact after 2 weeks of being off the grid on a project in Australia. Since he is going to be gone for 2 more weeks, Sloan agrees to watch Tucker until his return. This short preview of "The Happy Ever After Playlist" makes me look forward to the full book when it is published in April.

I devoured this in a matter of minutes and I am DYING to read the entire book. I looooved picking back up with Kristen and Josh and (yay Oliver!!!) and meeting Tucker. I can't wait to read about Sloan's story and how she heals. I love the playlist component and I will be pursuing all of those songs in my ears ASAP. Abby Jimenez's writing really works for me and to say that this is one of my most anticipated books of the year is an understatement. Bring on all the Happy Ever After!!!!

I got only a taste of this book with the preview version. I cant' wait to read the rest. Everything is set up nicely for a lovely read. The characters are charming and I enjoy the banter between the female and male leads. Tucker, the dog, sounds adorable. I can't wait to read the rest!

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the preview of this most anticipated book.

The first half of the book was AMAZING. It had the most wonderful rom-com feel, and I’m not even a fan of that particular genre, but let me tell you, the author did a FABULOUS job. Great flirty and funny banter, witty and smart dialogues – the book had it all.

Thank you to Netgalley for this preview of The Happy Ever After Playlist. It starts with the introduction of Tucker, an adorable dog who wanders into Sloan's life. Still grieving over the loss of her fiancé, Sloan believes it to be a sign and decides to keep Tucker...until his owner, Jason eventually reaches out to get him back. I was hooked from the very beginning. And I can 100% relate to having the love of a dog and all the sunshine that comes with it. Looking forward to the release date to see what happens with Sloan, Jason and Tucker!

Ok, I *loved* this. I have to be honest that I didn't totally love The Friend Zone (which made me sad, I wanted to love it). But I LOVED this preview. I genuinely shrieked "no!" when it ended.

Sloane and Jason are amazing characters. It's so fun to see Sloane come out of her shell like this, and as a crazy dog person I love that a dog brought this on. It's so nice to see Jason full out admit his feelings for Tucker. So often he'd be written to never admit how much he loves his dog. I love how honest both of these characters are being. It's a great use of being able to hide behind technology.

I like the flow of the story. I like the flirting between both characters. I love how Sloane can use Tucker and Kristen to admit things out loud.

I really cannot wait for this to be released.

I have been eagerly anticipating the release of this book since I read The Friend Zone last summer. Reading the extended preview of The Happily Ever After Playlist was such a tease and I can't wait to read the full story this week.

I was left heartbroken for Sloan at the end of TFZ and was a bit scared going in, but four chapters of Sloan in THEAP left me feeling giddy and hopeful. I cannot wait to read more of Sloan and Jason and Tucker.

This was an extended preview for the Happy Ever After Playlist. Although I am excited to read the entire book. As an educator, I would not use this book in any of my courses. However, it was a good, easy read with relevant topics. I enjoyed the book and look forward to the full release in April.

Picking up this book is like watching a movie you know will make you ugly cry but in the end your heart will soar. I know this is going to be a tough read, but I can't stop myself from reading it. This little teaser was far more light hearted than I expected and that gives me hope. The first in this series was fun and dark at the same time and while I loved the book, I'm not sure I can put my heart through that again. This preview made me smile and want more. I'm going to love Sloan and Jason and how can any dog lover not already love Tucker? This is going to be so fun!

Off the bat I really loved the banter between Jason and Sloan. The flirty texts aren’t too far stretched or over done. It made me recall the excitement I felt before my husband and I started dating. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Jason, Sloan and Tucker! Thanks @netgalley for the extended preview!

3.5 stars

So, there were parts of this preview that I really enjoyed, but the one thing that stood out to me is some of the childish conversation that took place. Maybe if these small things were fixed this book so far would be a solid 4 stars or maybe even a 4.5. This book was definitely sucking me into the storyline!! I will probably pick of the book and finish reading once it’s released.

After reading The Friend Zone by Abby Jimenez I was over the moon to see the next in the series. I only read the extended preview (stay tuned for an updated review once I get my hands on the full copy) but after a couple of chapters, I was already completely invested in the characters and the story-line. The author has such an amazing way of dealing with tough life situations that don't make light of them, but still manage to inject humor into them.

It warmed my heard to read about how Sloane was able to start finding her way back to herself after the death of her fiance and how a high-energy pup named Tucker was able to get her out of the house and thinking about people (and dogs) other than herself for the first time in two years. I can't wait to read the rest, I am already SO hooked!
