This extended preview piqued my interested for Abby Jimenez' full novel, to be published in April. I'm equally as enamored with the author's writing style as I was upon reading THE FRIEND ZONE. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Like I’ve said before, I knew reading this little excerpt would just eat at me. And it did. I don’t know why I even bothered because now I have to anxiously wait another 3 months to find out how everything comes together. Abby is an incredible author. I hope she never gives up writing.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the preview. I’m not much of a romance reader, but this title seems like it’s going to be a fun read based on this excerpt. I’ll definitely be picking this up when it’s published.

This preview had me begging for more! On the anniversary of her fiance's accident Sloan is on her way to the cemetery when a dog runs out in the middle of the road. Sloan stops to hopefully help the owner get the dog back when the dog suddenly jumps onto her car and into her sunroof! As she is trying to reach the owner for two weeks her best friend states the dog and brought out a side of Sloan that she hasn't seen in a while. When the dog's owner finally lands after not having cell service for two weeks he finds his dog had run away from (his now because of losing his dog ex-friends with benefits) some major flirting happens between Jason and Sloan and I for one can't wait to read the rest of the book!

After reading The Friend Zone recently, I knew I had to pre-order The Happy Ever After Playlist. Just like in the Friend Zone, I found myself sucked into the back and forth between the two main characters, Sloan and Jason.

The banter is flirty and fun, and there is also a realness to the characters and their lives. This makes me more excited to get my pre-order, and I'll plan to start it that night!

Picking up after the end of Abby Jimenez's last book, The Friend Zone, the excerpt for this novel promises a sweet and fresh romantic comedy that had me smiling, laughing out loud, and definitely wanting more. The chemistry is palpable, the grief feels surmountable, and the dog is absolutely lovable! I can't wait to read the full book when it comes out!

This was an excerpt for The Happy Ever After Playlist by Abby Jimenez. Thank you to NetGalley and Forever Publishing for the advance copy excerpt in exchange for an honest review.

The author is local to me and I follow her social media accounts as well so I was very curious to read her first book which I loved. This preview of the second book was AMAZING. It had me laughing out loud and I love how enjoyable all the characters are. Sloan and Kristin's friendship is just so relatable and makes you want to be part of their friendship. The author has the ability to take some serious issues, discuss them, and still add in humor to make it a fantastic read. This is definitely a cant put down book and I cant wait to get my hands on the full book and find out the rest of the story!

Thank you Netgalley for the ARC. Preview.

I love music and reading put the two together like Abby Jimenez did and I am happy. I had the privilege to read a preview of this book and I cannot wait for it to be released. Do you believe in happy ever after? I do, I think there is someone for everyone and the right person will be placed into our lives when we least expect it.
This book is a delight and a page turner it speaks about friendship, love and passion.

After reading The Friend Zone, I knew Sloan’s story would be compelling. In fact, I was so excited to read The Happy Ever After Playlist that I decided to read the free extended preview. A little snack, if you will, to tide me over. Big mistake. I’m in love with this story already and I’ve only read a few chapters. I was a goner from the moment the adorable dog Tucker is introduced. Then you add in the witty and flirty text messages and phone calls between Tucker’s owner, Jason, and Sloan. Can you say rom com heaven? How am I supposed to wait until April to read the rest of the story?!?! I only have myself to blame.

Opening with an epic meet cute, Jimenez sets the tone for the perfect rom-com. However, after starting the sample, I quickly abandoned it to read Jimenez’s debut (The Friend Zone) and I’m glad I did. because I was able to appreciate the story that much more. Fans of Kristen and Josh will be thrilled with this book. The couple get lots of page time because they are Sloan’s support system as she navigates her grief and her new relationship.

What I love is how carefully Jimenez pens Sloan—she is a character that is completely broken by grief and is simply existing. I encourage you to read the incredibly touching inspiration for this book in the acknowledgments.

This book has all the feels, it is emotional, raw, and just plain funny. I adored the witty banter and Jimenez has an impeccable ear for dialogue. The Happy Ever After Playlist is heartfelt, flirty, and fun.

It is two years after Brandon's accident and Sloan's pilgrimage to the cemetery is interrupted by a dog jumping through her sunroof. When Sloan finally contacts the dogs owner he is half a continent away. And cute. And funny. And single. And I can't wait for the rest of the book!

I absolutely loved the preview of this book and cannot wait for its’ release! I really hope I’m able to scoop up an advance copy on netgalley, because I’m not sure I can wait until April to read it!

In the first few chapters, I fell in love with Tucker, the dog of course and felt so connected to Sloan!

It’s a well-paced read with a storyline that hooks you right away. Looking forward to seeing what happens with Sloan, Jason and most of all, Tucker (please don’t let anything sad happen to this sweet baby angel)!

Abby Jimenez is QUEEN! The Friend Zone was my favorite read of 2019 and when I found out that Sloan was getting her own story I just could not wait. Abby is an amazing writer who builds upon likeable characters.
Thank you to Forever and NetGalley for this amazing preview of the best 2020 release! I cannot wait to read the whole thing.
