I was hoping I'd enjoy this book but I just realized that this genre does not work for me. I am sure someone else would enjoy it if they are a fan of the genre.

This was such a fun series! Adriana Mather does such a fantastic job with the sequel to Killing November.

In the sequel, Hunting November is now on a mission to save her father. Together with her friends we meet in the first book, they travel from the states to London in their search. Mather creates complex clues along the way the teenagers must decipher, all while avoiding certain death.

I think what I like most about this series, and in this book in particular, is the world building. It's unique and unlike any other book I have read. It kept me guessing until the end, and throughout the book I couldn't wait to find out what happened next.

I have elected not to read and review this book due to time constraints. Thank you for the opportunity.

This stunning follow up to Killing November was everything and more. Adriana is a true master storyteller and a pro at the suspense genre.

Books about spies are so fun to read, especially because they often involve some sort of mystery that needs to be solved--and I cannot let a mystery go unsolved! The mystery in this book kept me hooked to keep reading until the last page, and I really enjoyed the whole ride.

This was a worthy follow up to the first book in this duology, Killing November. You get more travel in this one, thus more adventure, and more information into the background of November's family. It was a quick and enjoyable read, my only complaint is the end felt a little rushed and I could have used another 10-20 pages of resolution to feel completely satisfied.

I loved this sequel! Adriana Mather is a great writer and I have enjoyed all of her work so far. This series is perfect for a school year read.

Hunting November picks up right where Killing November ended, so I was immediately sucked right back in. Loved this secret society book with lots of twists and turns!

I ADORED these books. The second one was just as good, if not better, than the first book. I love the espionage element to the stories. I was worried I wouldn't like this because I thought the whole private school thing was what drew me in and this one takes ace outside of the school but nope, the story is what I love.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hunting November is the sequel to Killing November, which came out this past May. Hunting November picks up right where the first book left off, like practically in the middle of the scene a little bit. So, I highly suggest reading the two relatively close together. I was slightly apprehensive to read the second book, solely because I was so nervous it wouldn't live up to the first. But that wasn't the case at all. From the first sentence, you are launched back into the world of spies and assassins with the same funny rhetoric that was in the first book. Something else that I found that Mather did really well is let the storyline build on its own. She doesn't rush to the punch and all of the side storylines add on beautifully to the plot. Crossing my fingers there is a spinoff or a third book set in the future.

Great story and loved the slight romance. Really enjoyed the characters and how the plot moved and how the characters changed throughout the book. I would read this author again.

I could not wait to get my hands on this book. This is a favorite author of mine and even though I had the E-arc thanks to netgalley I still went out and purchased the book in hardback to match the first book.

I get into kicks sometimes, sometimes it is dystopian, sometimes historical romance and then sometimes I wanna read about teenage assassins'. And this book is certainly one of my go to series when it comes to it. With twists and turns every direction it is one fast paced book that I could not put down.

A fun, fast-paced sequel to Killing November.

This series continues to be one that is far smarter than its descriptions indicate. The basic premise isn’t unusual (boarding school for killer kiddos, feuding families, secret societies), but Mather has done an exceptionally good job of embracing and executing the treasure hunt/puzzle mystery aspects of the story, as well as an unusually good job of getting into the fascinating specifics of the training and combat work of November and other characters.

I initially wasn’t sure about taking the series away from the school, but that became somewhat moot when...well, you’ll see.

I’ve been back and forth on how much I like November’s character at various points in the series. She’s a bit too nicey-nice at times in a way that feels sort of eye-roll gross, but she’s also tougher than she often seems and pretty brave when it comes down to it.

I really appreciate Mather’s decision not to dwell on or create unnecessary tension between November and Ash (so nice to see a YA book where the main character simply has a significant other rather than letting that take over the story by allowing the plot to devolve into petty relationship squabbles). And November’s friendship with Emily is far more interesting anyway, as is her complicated relationship with Aarya.

I was a little surprised at how neatly everything was sewn up at the end. Is the series over? I’m not sure how it can really continue from here without going in a really different direction. I guess that’s ok, and kudos to Mather if she simply decided this is where November’s story ends and that she won’t be dragging it out unnecessarily. Still, I figured this for a trilogy, so it seemed odd to have this book end in a way that was so, well, final.

If you loved book one you will totally fall in love with this follow up! I hope that we get another one to this series and I can not wait for another title from Mather!! I fell in love with her stories back with the witchy ones and I will be here for everything she writes!! This one had great pacing and wonderful characters that you can't help but fall in love with.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Random Children’s House for providing me with a free e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Like most people I am always worried about the second book in a series. However this book did not disappoint. It starts off right where book one ends. November and her friends are on the hunt for Jag, the notorious leader of the Lion Families. He has issued an order for November's father to be killed and she knows she has to try to save him. Although doing so also means going up against not only the worst of the Strategia, but the man who is her grandfather.

This edge-of-your-seat, action-packed, adventure book is so unpredictable and exciting, right when you think you have it figured out Adriana Mather surprises you!! Phenomenal isn't a good enough word to use for how amazing this book truly is. It will definitely have you wanting more. I feel my review does not give this book justice because I am afraid if I write too much I will give away some important stuff. So just do yourself a favor and pick up this fantastic, amazing, perfect, book! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
