A great way to look at how to approach organisational change, something that is time and again fraught with the risk of failure.

By looking at 8 levels of work systems design, and what each lever could change, you clearly see how important the human behaviour aspect is. And how it is important to change the organisation system that these people work in.

Follow the advice in this book and you will have a greater chance of succeeding with your transformation change.

A very good book: readable, clear and well-structured. Some obvious similarities with Kotter's work on change leadership. Includes some excellent examples, well-presented and engagingly recounted/explained.

If you are looking for more reading material on change management, then I would certainly recommend this book.

This book is full of insightful and practical ideas about change management. My main take aways from this book are:

1. To create change in organization, human behavior much change
2. To change human behavior, you need to create a working environment that will be conducive for that change to happen.

The book is short. It will work for busy professionals. However, if you are looking to be entertained at the same time, you may find the book less entertaining.
