Action really picked up at the end and it was getting more interesting. Parts were very teenish with drama that didn't really add to the story and seemed to slow the pace. I would pick up the sequel.

This was such a cute read. I was happy to see that there was diversity and acceptance in this book. There’s a character for any reader to relate to.

This was a fun witchy, murder mystery that its target demographic is sure to love. It tackles important topics like trauma and acceptance, while pulling the reader forward with the engaging plot.

I received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I really loved the premise of the book, but there were so many characters POV's, so it was hard to keep them separate. Iris was my favorite, I really enjoyed Iris as a character, seeing her battle with anxiety. Extremely slow start, took me forever to get into the book. I wanted to love it, but I didn't.

B*WITCH suffers from some serious pacing issues. The main mystery of the story doesn't appear until much too late in the novel. There are some positives- there's decent diversity within the main characters of the story. It tackles discrimination in the form of racism and homophobia. But it's not enough to make up for the underdeveloped characters and crawling pace of the book.

I really wanted to like this book, but it was just okay. I had a hard time staying interested - it just didn't hook me. It is written like it's purpose is the set up for a second book. Probably a good choice for younger readers, but I just didn't like it that much.
