Fun, swoony, easy to read. I enjoyed it. I’m definitely interested in reading more from this author.

I actually enjoyed the two main characters and it was so nice to have a librarian represented who didn't fit the stereotype. Great chemistry, I'd read more by this author for sure.

Hello

Apologies for the late notice, but I have decided not to review this title. While I am certain it's obvious by now, I wanted to also clear this off NetGalley, so it's not showing as open for either of us.

Thanks,
Laura

I really enjoyed how Reed was done, his character and his development was done very good. i went from disliking him to liking him. But Daisy was annoying and sometimes very whiny. Their chemistry and romance felt forced.. But the side characters were interesting too, so it gave bonus points in my book.

I love books that feature a library or a librarian because I am one, and this one was a really good read with a sexy "bad" bachelor and a library that needs saving.

This is a nice enough story, but nothing original. It’s a case of opposites attract: the tatted and pierced pseudo-goth girl with a heart of gold and the jaded rake (“Bad Bachelor”) whose hard shell is hiding a tender, deeply-wounded heart. What starts out as a business arrangement soon grows into something more, with Reed and Darcy sharing their baggage in a game of dysfunctional family bingo. Abandonment, broken engagements, and critical parents all add up to make them feel unworthy of love and afraid to pursue it...again. However, the risk of letting love in far outweighs the loneliness of guarding their hearts. It’s a pleasant way to spend a few hours, but forgettable. I’m not intrigued enough to read the other two books in the trilogy.

I received a complimentary ARC of this book from Sourcebooks Casablanca through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Opinions expressed are completely my own.

This was such a good book!! A hot library romance book, what more could you want?! I loved the plot in this book, and I felt the build up was very realistic. The characters are great. I loved the banter and chemistry between Darcy and Reed. They were a perfect example of opposites attract. This book flowed so nicely, it kept you wanting to keep reading to find out what would happen next. I couldn’t put this book down, I read it in just two sittings. This is such a steamy romance, and I loved it. I would highly recommend if you love a good romance read!

After a new app is introduced to help women navigate the dating scene, Reed McMahon's name is dragged through the mud, putting his job in jeopardy, but that's the least of his problems. Darcy Greer needs help to raise money for the library she works at and loves. Her friends have discussed the most notorious bachelors reviews with her and she's not too pleased that he's the one that will be helping her arrange the fundraiser.
This story literally had me captivated from page one, I even stayed up until 2am to finish it, because I couldn't sleep until the story was resolved. Great writing and unique story line, with twists to keep you on your toes. I highly recommend this book and will definitely be revisiting it again soon! I've devoured this entire series and highly recommend it.

Really liked this story. Darcy and Reed had me hooked from the start. Entertaining and good read. I’m really liking this author and will read more

The only aspect of this book I enjoyed was that Darcy is a librarian. I did not like the romance between Darcy and Reed. Reed was supposed to be there to help with the fundraiser for the library but there was only a little planning showed in the book. Also, Reed hooking up with his client felt unprofessional. The concept of Bad Bachelor in the book could have been implemented better. Reed was a womanizer so what was there to expect but him womanizing a lot of women.

This book was a lot of fun. The characters were quick witted and when they were together their conversations flowed really well. I could feel the chemistry 🧪

The middle of the book seemed to slow a bit. I’m all for quick paced books to keep my attention but it did drag in some places. It was made up though by their charm when the characters were together.

The idea of the app was well thought through and made a great story.

It was well writing with fun loving characters, and was highly entertaining! I’m excited to read the next book!

This was decent. It kept me fairly entertained, but didn't really go past the surface level into a deeper emotional connection.

The concept of the app where women can warn other women against men who have hurt them is a familiar one, and there's a bit of a boilerplate for how that book plays out. It's not my favorite concept, but the one thing London did with it I thought was somewhat unique was that it didn't come down for or against the site; it's a mix of good and bad.

While I love that the heroine is a librarian and that she's not a stereotype, I wish there'd been more about libraries. At the end of the book, Reed gives this speech about how Darcy taught him to love libraries, and I found myself going "when????" because they barely talked about it on page. That would have added some realism and made their connection feel more believable.

Another thing that felt slightly off for me was the back story about Darcy having found her fiancé with another man right before her wedding. The book opens with Darcy and her best friends destroying her wedding dress and the remains of her wedding cake on the one year anniversary of the wedding that didn't happen. It felt like that image was one the author/editor became attached to, but it wasn't important enough to the story to feel worth including. For example, she does finally talk to her ex and forgive him, and the book tells you that closure is important, but the talk isn't even on-page.

This isn't a bad romance, but it's not particularly good either, because of the odd choices made about what to include and what to leave out. I liked it enough to try the next one and to have hope that London could right a book that will work better for me.

The first book of the series - how would you feel if you could rate the men you dated? The Bad Bachelor is a story about just that. Reed is rated the lowest on the app - are things really what they seem? Darcy is a librarian who is covered in tattoos. Reed and Darcy cross paths when planning a charity fundraiser - they develop a friendship and an attraction to one another.

This was my second read by Stefanie London and she’s become that romance author to me that I think is always a good one to pick when you’re in the mood for a fun, fast paced romance story.

I absolutely loved the chemistry between the main characters and their developing romance. Their banter was so much fun and in combination with the tension between them, it’s just explosive in the best of ways.

Darcy was a really fun MC; she’s sassy, funny and has a no-bullshit attitude. Combine this with a hero whom ‘on the surface’ looks like a typical arrogant ‘manwhore’ and you’re off to a good start haha. Reed was such a good surprise though, because there’s just so much more to him and I loved getting to know him better and better and him showing his feelings more and more.

There are also some family relationships present, which I really like- I love it when a story isn’t about romance alone but when there’s

I think at times the story dragged a bit, but overall it was engaging, really entertaining and it has me excited to read the next book in the series.

When I requested this novel I was into the idea of reading this novel but I discovered that I was unable to provide feedback on this book due to the series being archived prior to download and file/download issues. Again, I am sorry for the inconvenience of not being to review and thank you for taking the time to provide me an ARC of this novel.

Follow our resident “bad boy”, Reed, as he attempts to clean up his image by offering to help save a struggling library from closing. Enter Darcy, the librarian whose past relationship has jaded her outlook on love and closed her heart off to the world. Will Reed be the one to open Darcy’s heart or will his need for freedom and the bachelor life style outweigh his budding feelings?

I loved the will they/won’t they aspect of this novel and the realistic character traits of both Darcy and Reed. Sexy, sweet, and witty, what more could you ask for?

This was a fun romance with a good amount of steam. I love romance set in the city with an alpha male. Good banter and conflicts

I would say this is an average read for me. I'll start by saying I really did enjoy the romance, I am a sucker for the opposites attract trope. I would say my only real issue with this book was the app, it's honestly just a personal preference thing for that. That being said it was a very fun book, I enjoyed the writing enough that I will be reading the next book.
