Nothing worse than a grudge and using the latest app to get your Bitchin out... Reed has become infamous... and not because for good reasons... so he needs to clean up his image...

Hmmm, now what would work...

Why doing a Library Fundraiser and there being a sweet Librarian cannot hurt at all...

But What...

She is not giving him any chance to show his real concern...

Tables turn and these people end up seeing each other for who they really are... not their image.

I enjoyed but I always wish that we didn't have a man-ho I mean please, please can someone not give me a guy that just sleeps around, is it too much to ask or am I just being unrealistic? Could be..Anywho I have read a fair amount of Stefanie London since I tend to enjoy her, not always but a good amount so I see one of her books and I tend to request and I am glad that I got this one I did laugh. So we meet Darcy and I liked her she was funny and didn't tend to put up with crap and my favorite loved to read (that is so me) so here is this bad ass librarian about to get married when she yup catches her dirt bag of a fiance cheating on her (god I hate that) anywho so it has been a while now and her friends think it is about time for her to get out there and what better way than on an app. So she does and ends up meeting Reed. Reed is not getting very good reviews on this app and he was taking it pretty hard which would surprise you seeing that he seemed so sure of himself. So here comes this hot guy that she recognized from the app and supposedly there to help with her PR problems, of course she is going to dislike him from the get go, but as she spends time with him she realizes that he does not seem the way she expected, there was so much more to the story..So grab a copy and find out what they were.

PR "image fixer" Reed McMahon is your typical bad-boy bachelor--devastatingly handsome, terribly charming, and a womanizing serial dater. It's no surprise that a disgruntled date puts up up for e-slaughter on "Bad Bachelor," an app that rates and reviews New York's single men.

With his business starting to suffer, Reed knows he'll have to put his PR skills to the test--on himself. Enter Darcy Greer. This no-holds-barred librarian is working double-time to save her library, and when Reed walks in offering his PR assistance, she's skeptical but eventually is willing to take a chance. However, she has no time whatsoever for NY's "bad bachelor."

But of COURSE sparks fly. And of COURSE there's witty banter as these two enter into a push-pull "no, I can't possibly" romance. How they get from being each other's Kryptonite to their HEA is a wildly funny and fun adventure. I especially loved that tattooed, speak-your-mind Darcy didn't fit the librarian stereotype.

While the book was a little slow to start, and the characterization could have gone deeper at times, I recommend Bad Bachelor for the laugh-out-loud banter and passionate romance.

Dating sites, curse or blessing for the modern singleton? With Bad Bachelor, Stefanie London breathes freshness into this rom-com trope about the worst rated bachelor in NYC and the shy, tattooed and pierced librarian who broke through his defenses.

Darcy Green knows the library she works at needs help. Desperately. So when she recognizes the #1 Bad Bachelor walking in to offer his highly sought after PR skills pro-bono, she grudgingly accepts his help. She only knows about Reed McMahon’s infamy through a new bachelor reviewing app, but being forced to spend time together reveals his soft and vulnerable underbelly.

Convinced love is akin to a death sentence, Reed has spent his life keeping everyone at arm’s length and building walls to protect his heart. He’s dedicated to his career and little else, but when his job leads him to the enigmatic librarian his life begins to unravel in unexpected ways.

London crafts a delightfully charming love story with a wonderful balance between snarky fun, sexiness and tender understanding. Using the bachelor reviewing app as part of the story’s premise gives an original twist to modern dating and the unchecked comments that create havoc in Reed’s life rings true.

The antagonistic attraction between Darcy and Reed is fun and ultimately sexy, enhanced by their snarky banter. Yet they both relate to one another deeply even though they present a vastly different façade to the world. Finding their happy ending will be a difficult journey, but a certainly enjoyable one in which Reed overcomes his fear of love and connection and Darcy learns to accept herself.

With Bad Bachelor, London pens an easy to read, lighthearted romance with an original plot and delightful characters. I can’t wait to read the next instalment in the series.

Bad Bachelor is book #1 of the Bad Bachelors series by Stefanie London. It is a standalone romantic comedy in the opposites attract, enemies to lovers genre. Told from both points of view with a happily ending, no cliffhanger.

This was a fun read! I didn't enjoy #2 or #3 nearly as much but this one was good. I loved the sassy banter between the 2 characters.

I really liked this book - especially the banter between Darcy and Reed. I found the ending a bit disappointing but overall enjoyable.

It's no surprise why I like this author's writing so much and this is proof positive that I do -- I read this series backwards. Not that it makes that much difference since these are standalones, but I "try" to read series like these in order. Unfortunately I read the last one first but it didn't lessen my enjoyment of this first book at all. I loved all the couples in all three books and Darcy and Reed were no exception. The plot centers around the Bad Bachelor's app which is sometimes problematic, but the charming and witty dialogue between Darcy and Reed are what make the story work so well. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.

This was a decent romance that bordered on erotica. Darcy is ready to take on dating after a disastrous engagement. Reed is assigned to assist her with raising money for the library she works at. He's attracted to how unaffected she seems by him. Between dinners and meetings the heat flares between them despite the looming reality that Reed has a reputation for not committing.
I wasn't too fond of how easily Darcy gives in to his seductive banter. I was hoping she would make him work for it but I guess it works out at the end and they both learn to show vulnerability when it counts.

I would still recommend this to someone that this looking for a light and easy read. It wasn't my favorite book that I've read but I would look for this author again. It's a nice, light romance.

A cute romance between a heartthrob PR whiz and a librarian. Reed has built a notorious reputation as a womanizer and heartbreaker and is ranked Bad Bachelor #1 on a NY dating app - on paper, he's far from a great match for Darcy whose engagement has just ended.

Sparks fly however and it turns out there's much more to Reed than meets the eye (app?). This was a quick, fun romance read - I have to say the idea of the bachelor app was slightly ridiculous and unbelievable, but sometimes you have to suspend belief a little and go where the romance takes you.

I really enjoyed this book! It was steamy & emotional. At first you think Darcy and Reed are going to be opposites attract but once you get to know the two they actually have more in common than meets the eye! Darcy is a tattooed librarian and Reed is a sexy business man. These two meet when Reed is set in charge of helping Darcy’s library with a fundraiser. Reed has a bad rep bc of this app girls are able to post “reviews” of men they go on dates with. Darcy isn’t sure about Reed bc his review say he’s a womanizer but she soon learns he’s so much more. These two were well matched and had so much depth. I highly recommend giving this book a read!

I absolutely loved this book. At first, I was worried it would be a little out of my comfort zone but I am so glad that I requested it. It is fun and the relationship was swoon worthy! Would read another book by this author.

This one was a good story. I had a hard time with Reed and Darcy. I didn’t feel that there was as much chemistry as I would have liked between them. I also absolutely hated all the side characters. They were all really annoying.

The story was good, and the pacing was good. A little slow in a few parts, but for the most part it read smoothly. This was a very typical adult romance with enemies to lovers trope.

Overall it was a cute read, and I’m sure others may like it better than me.

This is a fun beach read book when you are looking for something quick & easy. This story isn't one of the best enemies turned lovers stories out there but there's still enough substance and character development to pique your interest. I did think the dating app was a unique device and see how this could spawn many spin offs which I would read but Reed & Darcy just didn't leave enough of an impression on me to care if they pop up again in subsequent books in the series.

This is my first book my Stefanie London and I enjoyed the couple and their love/hate relationship that eventually turns into more, but to be honest I had a bit of a problem with the main set up of this book. An app that rates the men of New York based on “reviews” from women who have dated them, an app where you don’t have to verify your identity, you are free to bash a guy even though he was up front from the start about what he wanted, I mean imagine if the tables were turned and some dude created an app that rated women based on their crazy/hot scale? Can you imagine the outrage? So while smooth, sophisticated PR consultant Reed and tattooed, introverted librarian Darcy seem like complete opposites they find common ground while working on a fundraiser for her library branch.
The best part of this book was the verbal sparring between Reed and Darcy; I loved their interactions and the fact that they lobbed insults with ease at each other all while fighting their growing attraction just made this story all the more interesting.
Darcy knew of Reed’s reputation on the Bad Bachelor app and at first she held his “reviews” against him, but the more time she spent around him the more she realized that he was a person with feelings and problems and the publicity of the app was hurting his business and could possibly hurt his ability to take care of his ailing father.
There was a bit of a twist to the story that I figured out fairly early on and honestly I think Reed should have pressed it more considering what the app was doing to him professionally and like I said I could only imagine if the app had been about women rather than men, I’m sure the reviews of this book would have been absolutely scathing.
I enjoyed Bad Bachelor, I liked that we saw measurable growth in both the hero and heroine, and I loved that they both were able to put aside their baggage and let love in.

A bit torn between really liking and not liking it at all.
The main couple is very interesting and their stories are very reliable but there were times where I just couldn’t get into the story at all.
It’s not my first book by the author and definitely won’t be my last but unfortunately this one didn’t hit the mark for me.

Bad Bachelor is the kind of book I hate to stick a rating on. I absolutely loved the main characters, the romance, and Stefanie London’s writing. But the story also had some big drawbacks that kept me from falling in love with the book overall.

Let’s start with the good, shall we? I adored Reed and Darcy. Darcy is a librarian and the black sheep of her family. She’s hardworking and cares so much, which I absolutely loved. She’s also incredibly vulnerable between the contentious relationship with her mother and the way her engagement ended the day before she was supposed to be married. She has walls a mile high, but that’s nothing compared the walls Reed has around his heart. Reed is rich, polished, and a PR whiz. But no one sees the man beneath the glossy exterior…until Darcy. Reed has seriously deep old wounds he doesn’t allow anyone to see and they make him unwilling to open his heart and trust any woman. He’s dedicated to his job and being the best, not because of ego, but because the money allows him to care for his ailing father. Aside from wanting to push people away, Reed’s pretty much the perfect hero. He and Darcy are dynamite together and I loved watching them put together a fundraiser for her library. They’re a perfect match even though on the surface they seem nothing alike. The fact that they outwardly seem so different but inwardly have a lot in common is what makes them such an appealing couple. Their love story is easy to fall into and Ms. London makes it impossible not to root for them.

I adored Darcy and Reed so much that I hate to say anything bad about Bad Bachelor. However…the Bad Bachelors app plot was beyond aggravating. The Bad Bachelors app is – in essence – a Yelp review site of New York City’s bachelors. In a place as big as NYC, the number one “Bad Bachelor” isn’t a predator, criminal, abuser, liar, user, addict, cheater, or even someone who doesn’t tip well. No, it’s – brace yourself for the horror – a man who doesn’t want to commit. It’s necessary to roll with this premise or the entire book falls apart, so I knowingly went into this willing to suspend disbelief. The problem is, the more I saw Reed’s hard work being torn apart, his personal and professional reputation being shredded by this popular app, the more sour the taste in my mouth. The more the popularity of the app grew, the more it was like watching a good person be repeatedly kicked in the face not just by bitter and shallow exes, but workplace rivals and possibly internet trolls. The last bit is not altogether implausible, which makes it all the more depressing.

Bad Bachelor has good characters, an engaging and sexy romance, and a background plot that just left a bad taste in my mouth. Darcy’s two best friends, Remi and Annie, are featured in the next two Bad Bachelors books. I loathed Annie and will likely pass on her story, but I adored Remi and I love Ms. London’s writing so I will definitely be reading the next book in the Bad Bachelors series, Bad Reputation.
