This book had the promise of being a fun romcom but sadly it fell short for me. I had a hard time connecting with either one of the main characters and the story seemed mundane. I couldn’t feel any chemistry between the two leads.

Darcy is a rebellious librarian who will do anything to defy her mother. She’s also a jilted ex-fiancé and has lost all hope in the opposite sex. Enter Reed, the playboy who’s married to him job, and refuses to settle down. With his reputation being tarnished by a dating app that has named him as the worst bachelor to date.

I couldn’t find myself to get into this book at all. I found myself reading as a motion rather than being emotionally invested. Darcy and Reed had not connection. At times I would think she was this strong women, but then she would have a tendency for immature behavior. I feel like the author wanted to make Reed the emotional bachelor who hides his real self, but then there were we got a glimpse into his emotional side and it lived up to his reputation online.

I think me and this book were a bad match but I do appreciate NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for this eARC in exchange for an honest review

Darcy is a librarian who is in charge of the library's gala to help raise money for the library. She is also recovering from a very sudden end to her last relationship, but she is ready to start dating again.
She is worrying about getting hurt again, so when a new app launch that helps women avoid the unworthy men, she is using it as a guideline.
What she didn't expected was to meet the number one bad bachelor when he is enlisted to help her plan the gala.
The problem with Reed is that the more she gets to know him, the less sense the reviews make. Now she has to decide which version of him is the real one and if she is ready to risk her heart.
Reed doen't trust people and he is not interested in a relationship, his life is exactly the way he wants and he is fine with that. Until a librarian is entering his life making him question what he knew.

The idea of an app rating bachelors is very interested especially given the fact that the owner is a mystery and Reed is determined to figure out who is behind it. The connection between Darcy and Reed was so apparent from the start, they weren't ready to meet the other person and that made the story even better. It was a very enjoyable book.

A witty and sexy romance!

Reed McMahon is a PR guy who ends up getting a lot of bad PR himself on a dating app called Bad Bachelor - he becomes the most hated bachelor, and it ends up affecting him in ways he didn't think possible. Darcy Greer is a rebel librarian who doesn't like being told what to do, but she knows her library needs funds and when Reed becomes the one guy who can help her get those funds, she has no choice but to work with him. They both come to find out they have a LOT more in common that they thought, including a lot of personal baggage.

I actually really enjoyed this book - it was a fun and quick read with lots of great dialogue and some great chemistry. I loved that the characters were unusual and quirky, and I always love a HEA. Definitely recommend!

Note: I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Bad Bachelor was so good. I love a good enemies to lovers story and watching Darcy and Reed let go of their preconceived ideas of each other and learn how well they fit together was fantastic. Darcy is a librarian who loves books so that makes her so relatable to me. I love Reed's love for his family and struggles to do the right thing while dealing with a hard personal image situation. These two were easy to meet, fall into their story and love. I love a series with overlapping characters and strong female friendships and can't wait to keep going with this series.

I absolutely adored everything about this rom com story with Reed and Darcy. Told from both perspectives, it's a love story that will capture your heart and make you think twice about dating apps.

Darcy is trying to get back into the dating scene after calling off her wedding at the last minute when her fiance cheats on her. Reed doesn't want to date... at all. When their lives are pulled together through work, Darcy recognizes his name as one of the most infamous men on the new dating app, Bad Bachelor. Women are able to submit reviews of men after dating them, and every review Reed has is bad. That doesn't stop the spark of interest Darcy feels upon meeting him for the first time, especially when he is her match at witty banter. Reed convinced himself he doesn't have time for dating, and he doesn't give much stock in the reviews on Bad Bachelor. But when it starts to affect his family, he starts to suspect there's more behind the app and to the drama.

Darcy and Reed are just the cutest, and I will ship them forever. It's true, some of the tropes are a bit cliche and have been done before, but I love the idea of the dating app - it's different than anything I've read before. I also have a soft spot for the "bad boy" trope, especially when it isn't 'deserved'. The steam meter was good, but not 50 Shades level of spice. The romance flowed easily, sometimes in romance novels they jump immediately into bed or a switch flips and you're unsure how they got there - not in this book. It is a bit of a build up to the big event.

I read this all in one day, it hit every spot that I look for in romance to keep me interested, and making me wish Reed had his sights set on me instead of Darcy.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Thank you to Sourcebooks Casablanca and NetGalley for letting me read this book.
This was a such a great read! Darcy and Reed are fantastic leads for this story and I found it very hard to put down. They both had issues they needed to overcome and their relationship grew at a realistic pace, which made for a satisfying romance. The side characters add a little bit extra to the book as well.
The writing itself is easy to follow and quite entertaining.
This is the first book by Stefanie London I have read but it won't be the last.
4.5 stars

Darcy tends to keep her feelings to herself. She was recently jilted at her wedding and is feeling a bit lonely. Her friends suggest avoiding the men on the new, very popular, Bad Bachelors app. This app allows reviewers to post the bad things about the most eligible bachelors in NYC.

Reed has been targeted on Bad Bachelors by many, but he isn't who they say he is. He just isn't able to open up to anyone. The app is creating stress everywhere in his life. He needs a stress-reliever.

What do you think will happen next? Well of course they get together. However, it's not what you think. They were supposed to be blowing off steam...not missing each other.

This book was a lot more than I expected it to be. I think it would just be a bad boy turned good. This wasnt the only thing we get. I would tell you more, but I want you to find out yourself.

For those who need the trigger warnings there are a few steamy scenes.

Thank you to the author, NetGalley, and Sourcebooks for the advanced e-readers copy of this for an honest review. This book is being republished with an updated cover.

This was SO GOOD. Honestly I’m not much of an adult romance reader but this had me shivering. The book takes a plot that although it may seem like, something out of this world and at the same time something that may be a good idea, and turns it into an amazing romance. The chemistry of the couple, i loved it. Friendships and family were a big deal too and although conflict may fall into the "not communicating" category i didn't mind it.

Bad Bachelor is a fun, steamy, romantic and at times profound. It is my type of romance, the type that makes you feel things when reading. I read this mostly on the bus and it was... and experience. It takes the plot of the "bad boy" and the "good girl" to another level, where the appearances are not what they seem and a teasy work relationship that is supposed to be just about the physical stuff and professional (of course) slowly turns into something else, but, would it work?

I had been craving a book like this for a long time, with characters beyond romance, with an interesting plot, and with a male protagonist that would make guys in real life seem like a mess, those who inspire "book boyfriends do it better t-shirts".
I also feel like the rebranding of this cover was a choice very smart, not only did it make me want to pick out the book but it also makes me want to have it in display in my shelf to my friends.

Amazing, truly. I guess the only thing i didn't like is that i would have like it to have mora chapters, a little bit more development, but besides that i was really really good.

Stefanie London crafted a book that highlights the pros and cons of not only the dating world but the internet and how one bad review can lead to a snowball affect that can lead to a persons demise! I loved that this story was more than a steamy romance but a story that looked inside the world of dating and the world of apps!

As Reed tries to brush off his pending downfall at the hands of angry women he meets a woman that tests his resolve and everything he believes in! Darcy is trying to find her footing in life and after a horrible heartbreak she isn’t sure she ever wants to date again! As she tries to find someone safe she falls for the ones that all wrong! The odds were stacked against these two from the start it’s up to them to see if love is worth it in the end!

Bad Bachelor's, was a reread for me, I enjoyed it even more the second time. Reed was a refreshing difference from the normal womanizer. He doesn't hide the fact that he likes women and doesn't want any commitments. He's not even trying to change his ways. He just wants the lies to stop. When Darcy sees the other side of his life that he doesn't show to many people, he does something that he'll regret. The question is, what will he do to make it better?

Not deep, and somewhat predictable but at the same time thoroughly enjoyable. The characters have baggage and are not cookie cutter. The pace is good. The sex scenes are steamy. Had a lot of fun reading this.

BAD BACHELOR is an engaging and sweet romance with flawed characters that you can't help but root for. Having a female lead that is tattooed and pierced, but also smart and bookish was so refreshing!

The story got a bit slow in the middle, but picked back up. I liked seeing the main characters opening up to each other, but I wish some parts of the story were fleshed out more. The theme of social classes and fitting in was a recurring theme and then doesn't resolve. How will these two fit into each other's lives? There was also some loose ends in the female friendships. A secret is revealed that could really impact the female friendships, but it's not even addressed as it relates to the girlfriends.

Overall, this was a good read with a good premise and a fun HEA. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest feedback.

Hysterical! What a great story, everything you want in a book and a little bit more.
Poor Reed, his jackassery days with women have caught up with him when a new app hits the ladies phones called Bad Bachelor. It's written for women (and men too) that gives them a heads up on how to avoid bad dates whether they use a dating app or not. Bad date means those notorious bad blow bys that hit and run. And the lovely and very anonymous blogger who writes about the latest has found the man who just epitomizes everything she hates. Reed McMahon. Successful businessman who has a rep yes, but he claims nothing like what they are saying about him. When they start to bother his ailing father he is beyond angry.
He meets Darcy, lovely single librarian who he's kind of nudged into helping get a fund raiser together for the library she works for. She loves what she does, loves the kids and books. Lots of books. She's been burned and her two friends are trying to get her back out into the game, and when one suggests she check out the app and kindly downloads it for her, she already knows who Reed is when he shows up to help her with the fund raiser.
Reed doesn't give anything away, doesn't tell women about himself, his past, his father, the mother who disappeared yet he finds himself talking to Darcy. He hates libraries. He's got a reason for that.
Meanwhile, the banter between these two is fantastic. Stefanie did such a great job with the dialogue, I loved it. When Reed found himself getting a little too comfy, he'd blow her off. Off course these two had a great chemistry and it takes Darcy by surprise when they hit round two.
Reed is not taking this laying down, he's already lost one client because of bad press, the people in the office are talking and one of his bosses is breathing down his neck to land a big client. One he needs Darcy to help him with. Meanwhile he hires a private investigator to find who is running this business and just keeps running into dead ends. Until one day he doesn't. Well hell what a twist.
So I have just hit the highlights, but this is a must read book. It's got it all and along with being funny. It's a great plot, fantastic dialogue and two main characters who you'll love.

This is a re-release of a 2018 with a new cover. The new cover is gorgeous and I love the colors. This is the story of Reed and Darcy. Reed is a high powered PR guru who fixes everyone else's issues but when a new app hits the market labeling him as a Bad Bachelor he has to figure out a way to fix his own. Meet Darcy who works in a library that is in need of funding in order to keep their doors open and children's programs running. Darcy was previously engaged and her fiance and her ended their engagement when she caught him kissing the best man. Now Darcy is just trying to find herself and the man who will see the "real' Darcy.

I loved how at the start of every chapter you got to see either a review, or a blog posting from the Bad Bachelor website. I enjoyed the friendship with Annie and Remi and I am happy to see that the series continues with books involving both of them. Since both of these books have already been published I hope that they get the new covers as well. Also, finding out who is behind the Bad Bachelor App was a surprise in its own right.

Thank you to netgalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for allowing me to read this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Entertaining read!

Darcy and Reed meet when he ends up volunteering to help out with an event she is organising to rasie funds for the library she works at. She knows about him already, thanks to the bad bachelors app, but soon learns that there is more to Reed than meets the eye, just like he realises the prickly exterior Darcy presents to the world is just her way of hiding. Can Reed finally let someone in to his life, and will they have a chance together?

Looking forward to the rest of this series.

I really enjoyed this novel. It had an original framework built around the idea of an app that women can use to rate New York City bachelors. PR executive Reed McMahan has become the lead “bad bachelor” on the app as all sorts of anonymous people are posting remarks about how he is great in bed but won’t commit to anything more. Such an app seems ripe for misuse and it does seem that women who knew up front that he wasn’t about anything more than a one-night stand, still want to badmouth him anonymously online. But the bad comments are hurting him on the job and with the possible romance he seems to be building with an unlikely woman, Darcy Greer.

He is supposed to be helping her raise money for the community library where she works. He’s attracted to the differences between her prim librarian persona and the pierced tongue and tattoos. It does seem like an unlikely combination, but just go with it.

Both characters are damaged and not like they seem on the surface. I liked the idea of the Bad Bachelor as a plot device, but worry about the idea of such an app in real life. Too much damage can be done by anonymous posters.

Enjoy this enemies-to-lovers romance. I actually think I read this before, but I still enjoyed it the second time around. A fun read will be that way sometimes.

I was given a free ARC of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review

It was a great book. I never thought that I would have such a fun time reading this story. The storyline is very unique and new . The chemistry between Darcy and Reed was exceptional. I like opposite attracts story and this has quickly become one of my favourites. The plot was unique the characters were entertaining and the romance was swoon worthy. The story is not rushed and the timing is perfect. I could not have asked for more. This was my first Stefanie London book and I would definitely want to read more from her in the future. If you are a fan of opposite attracts book or a fan of Lauren Layne then I would suggest you to read it at least once. Hope you all like it as much as I did.
A huge thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebook Casablanca for a chance to read and review it early. Don't let the bad bachelors of New York steal you heart Ladies.
Happy reading.
