This text provides a comprehensive overview of therapies, treatments, and modalities appropriate to address all aspects of health. This would be very helpful as a manual for quick reference.

I DNF'd this book because I did not find it engaging. Unfortunately, I would not recommend it and have rated it 1-star.

This book would be a perfect entry point into the world of healing on all levels for someone who is now starting to move away from the conventional, Western medicine of drugs to treat symptoms and surgery but which doesn't go into the root cause of disease. It opens the eyes on every other modality of healing out there, and also gives very good pointers and explanations (through exercises) on how you can get better in tune with yourself and thus find ways to heal your body and mind and spirit on a different level and using energy and mindfulness and your own self as an empowered being

This book does not particularly stand out to me compared to other books on this subject. Nevertheless, I do feel that this book have a nice variety of useful information on healing the whole body. I feel that many people would find this book helpful.

I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

This book is a holistic approach to healing your body through many different ways. This book is ideal for anyone wanting to be more in tune and more connected to their body in many different ways but wasn't as unique as I thought it would be and repeats slot of information that can be found in similar books of this kind.

I had high hopes for this book. Unfortunately it was not for me. I know there are some people who will enjoy this book.

Thank you to the Llewellyn and Netgalley for the advanced reader copy. All opinions expressed are my own.

While this isn't really something I enjoyed or found to be helpful, I know many of our patrons will want to read it. We will definitely purchase a copy.

As I started reading, I was thinking "this is promising" when she wrote about the importance of doing research and somewhat describing the type of research and studies available (yet somehow left out the randomized controlled trial, which is the gold standard of research). But, then she started talking about detoxing. At first I rolled my eyes, but was happy to see she wasn't talking about juice cleanse, but instead getting rid of unwanted things like negative/toxic friends, etc. Okay, I can get on board with that.

But then on the next page, after talking about how important research is, she starts praising colonics as a form of GI tract detoxing.

Hard pass. I quit right there because those are dangerous and there is literally no research to support it use (unless you're going in for a colonoscopy the next day.) But, as she doesn't have a medical or health degree, I'm not surprised at more Goop-like promotion. A quick skim at the rest of the book confirms that there's really nothing here more than what you'd find on a wikipedia page for any of the modalities and methods she mentions.

This book explains how to prepare yourself for whole body healing. It goes into detail about what the physical, emotional, energetic, and spiritual bodies are, and how to work with them for optimal healing. It’s a holistic approach to healing that will help one to tap into the inner wisdom that each person possesses.

‘Whole Body Healing’ I believe, is for a very specific audience. For the self-aware, this book won’t be of much help because its focus is on an integrative approach to health and wellness, which is covered by many other books on the market. For those who are out of touch with their bodies, disconnected from their emotions, and would like to cultivate a deeper relationship with themselves, this book will be helpful.

I was a big fan of Emily’s previous book ‘The Body Heals Itself’ because it focused on the obscure topic of muscle memory. ‘Whole Body Healing’ unfortunately, doesn’t contain any information that will differentiate itself from all the other health and wellness books available.
