Well laid out and full of fun, interesting activities for young kids. The instructions are clear, and include tips for increasing/decreasing the difficulty level, depending on a child's skill level. Lots of fun ideas that use common everyday items which are readily available. Great resource for helping children, particularly those with developmental disabilities, develop needed skills. Complements professional OT programs very well and breaks down which skills each activity helps to build. Recommended.

A great guide for parents, caregivers, and occupational therapists. It is easy to follow and implement. I received a free digital review copy through NetGalley.

I wish I could give this more than 5 stars! Having a child that has OT 4xs a week, makes wanting to learn techniques to mirror at home. This book is the one for me. It breaks down every activity: what it helps (which of the 8 senses), what materials you need, how long to prep, how long the activity may last, all along with the directions. I will be buying a copy for my son's OT at school so she can have access to such a wonderful resource.

I loved this book! So perfect for any parent who wants to give support to your child’s development. As a teacher I have quite a bit of Kindergarten students who have a hard time holding a pencil/crayon and this is the book I’m going to recommend as a first step. What I love: each page lists HOW this is helpful (sight, gross motor...etc), the age group it’s aiming towards, materials (most of it is common things you have in your house right now) and an easy to follow instructions. It even has ways to make the activity harder or easier based off your needs.
