Lori Foster manages to give her readers the perfect characters to forge an emotional connection with. Autumn & Ember are two sisters with different personalities that work close together to keep an animal rescue running. They both have full time careers & are trying to uphold their family’s dream. Autumn hasn’t been interested in making time to date until her high school crush, Tash comes back into town to raise his daughter. Ember has a volatile relationship with the person they have helping with the animals. Michael stays after her & shows her she can be serious too. I really enjoyed reading about the journeys these couples take as they work their ways to each other. This is a study of romance, family, love & relationships that’s takes readers on a trip through all emotions. Great story!

I really enjoyed this book. Once I started reading the story, I got so involved in it. Well written and very cute with the rescue animals.

In The Somerset Girls by Lori Foster, the author transports readers to Sunset, Kentucky and delivers two sweet, heartfelt romances filled with family, snark, and animals. It’s the perfect escape.

Really enjoyed reading this one. The family dynamics between sisters is believable. You get romance stories for each sister and was glad I got to have both stories in one place. It's well written easy to follow and not to heavy yet enough going on to keep my interest. I received a free copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a review

This is a lovely heartwarming story about two sisters and how they eventually find love. Autumn and Ember. They run an animal rescue farm which they inherited from their grandparents. Autumn is also a designer while Ember is a builder. When Tash, a high school crush, returns to town a love story develops for Autumn. Ember also finds herself developing her own love life. It’s fun to see both sisters develop both their career and their love lives. There are wonderful characters and great developments of relationships. It was a fun book with a lot of emotion and leaves you feeling so wonderful.

My favorite kind of books have characters I can relate to and characters that I care about. Foster does it here! I care about the Somerset Girls. In addition to well-developed characters readers are also treated to rescue animals and romance! It's a great read--

Autumn and her sister, Ember, work together to design and build houses and other structures. Ember has always been popular but had has some trauma in her life that she can't get over. Autumn was left at the altar, and in a small town, they never let you forget. Her self confidence is shattered so when Tash, the town's golden boy, comes back to town years later, Autumn knows that even though she had a crush on him in high school he's still out of her league. Tash is drawn to Autumn's loving and kind heart and her sexy body. She's great with his young daughter too, acting like more of a mom to her than his ex-wife ever did. I really enjoyed this story of two sisters who are so different but would do anything for each other. Another winner by one of my favorite authors, Lori Foster!

The Somerset Girls is a fun read. Full of sisterhood, sexy men, steamy romance and sassy characters, once I started reading I was eager to find out how it ended. Anyone who loves Lori Foster will not be disappointed in this story.

In this new book from Foster we meet Autumn and Ember, sisters who run an animal rescue farm. Each sister has issues that they need to work through the only problem is having g the courage to work through said issues. Autumn was left at the alter and left humiliated in front of the whole town. Her fiancee ran off with another woman leaving Autumn to pick up the pieces and figure out how to move on. After that horrible day she has thrown herself into work and given up on men all together. Ember had a loss that devastated her, depression is always in her fore front of her life and it is so hard not to succumb to it. She doesn't believe that finding her one true love is possible and jumps from guy to guy just having fun. Follow these two young women as new possibilities enter into their lives and changes will have to be made. Will either go with their heart and let the impossible turn into the possible or will they both let their fears take a hold. This was a lovely read that will touch your heart and make you believe that anything is possible when it comes to love!

This is the second book at this lovely RV resort. The book has two stories going on with the main focus on Joy, Royce, and her 5 year old son Jack. Joy works as the planner for the park and she puts her life’s focus on ensuring Jack has a happy home life filled with unconditional love. This was something she didn’t get while growing up. Royce is the new owner of the drive in movie theater and is working on rebuilding his life, new house, and repairing the theater. These two don’t have time for romance especially when Jack is involved and the only men he’s known in his life are the ones that work at the RV resort. Then there is Maris and Darin that share this undeniable attraction. Maris fights him at every turn because her loyalty is to herself and her business. She doesn’t have time for a younger playboy. Darin is frustrated because he really has true feelings for her and she just cuts him down. This was a wonderful journey about two woman finding true friendship that grows to the equivalent of a sister. They both fight their issues together to hopefully get past the past and move forward. The men have their work cut out for themselves and Royce also has to get past his issues as well. The book had romance, some hot scenes, yet it is a lovely heartwarming story that will have you laughing out loud, smiling, and maybe even leak out a few tears. Well at least I did. I reviewed an advance copy from NetGalley, my review is based solely on my own opinions.

Like the rest of the world, coping through this pandemic can be a little overwhelming for me. I was in desperate need of a read to lift my spirits. Just a book that would make me feel a little better, a little happier, a little safer. Thanks to The Somerset Girls, I got my escape with this feel good read full of lush writing and a full and loveable cast of characters.
I fell in love with sisters Autumn and Ember. Who wouldn’t love girls that ran an animal rescue? While completely different personalities, their love for each other was evident and I found myself identifying with both of them. While Autumn was responsible, no frills, more reserved and insecure, Ember covered her vulnerability behind a fun loving, light hearted mask. Both sisters were strong, sweet, intuitive, and caring. And both deserved their happy ever after.
Tash had grown up in Sunset, Ky and had recently returned to raise his daughter and re-establish his life. She was his primary focus. He’d put women from his mind and was putting all his attention on his child. But he couldn’t ignore his reaction to Autumn. Mike had come to Sunset and the Fresh Start Farm in search of something new. A place where he could restart his life and decide what he wanted out of it. The more time he spent with Ember, the more he knew what that something was.
When both of these couples find each other, sparks fly and emotions are tumultuous. Their journey to love is intoxicatingly quirky, perfectly paced, and all around fun to read. While their attractions were instant, the building of their romances was slow, sweet, and sizzling.
I love romances that aren’t just about the relationship between the main characters but also the relationships between family and friends. The Somerset Girls is a heartwarming story about those sometimes complicated relationships. It’s filled with vivid characters in honest, believable relationships. Those kinds of connections where you may drive each other crazy but you’re still each other’s biggest supporter. It’s a humorous, heartwarming, and emotional story. If you’re ready for an escape, turn off the news, and curl up with this un-put-downable book. It’s just pure FUN.

Fun read. Great characters. Enjoyed this book. Not as much "heat" as some of her other series, yet enjoyable all the same.

This was an endearing story about two sisters who are alike, but different. They share a deep love for each other as well as a farm where they take care of abandoned animals. They also share business ties as Autumn is an interior designer as well as, apparently a designer of houses, buildings, and play structures while Ember is a builder.
Add in Tash, a former high school hunk who is back in their small Kentucky town to raise his seven-year old daughter. His daughter also falls for this sweet woman who is kind to her, is designing her an ideal bedroom and playground, as well as being the owner of lots of cute animals. Autumn is quite insecure about her looks having had her mother drum into her that she’s the sister with “big bones.” Conveniently, Tash likes her body. We should all be so lucky to have a hunky guy like our plus-size bodies, right?
Meanwhile, Ember is fighting her attraction to their sexy farmhand, Mike. Everyone is a good person although the girls’ parents are a bit over-the-top. Altogether, this is a sweet novel.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.

A story about relationships, that between parents and children, between siblings and between lovers. Autumn and Ember, sisters who seem to be completely different on the outside are running their grandparents animal rescue farm while navigating their relationships; Autumn on the quiet side, Ember a flashy little spark. Throw in family dynamics, a hot farm hand and a single dad who’s always been on Autumn’s radar and you’ve got a little fiction, a little romance and some overall good feelings. While it might be on the “cheese” side for some; its never a bad idea to dive into something like this when you need a little spark in your day!

The Somerset Girls is a captivating tale full of characters who are achingly real and robust. Fans of Lori Foster are sure to dig right in and never let go.

Lori Foster has been one of my all time favorite authors since I read Don't Tempt Me and I had the chance to meet her in person. This book was now that I fell in love with early on and I did not want it to end. This one had a set of sisters and animal rescue and I just loved every second of it. The story was heartwarming and a total love for me.

I want to be their sister too! This story had everything that I love in a book-family, kids, animals, second chances, sexiness and fun. Autumn and Ember are sisters that work together designing and building plus rescuing animals to live on their inherited farm. The sisters are polar opposites but love each other fiercely, which drew me and kept me riveted through the end. Two swoon-worthy men, a precocious seven year old, and two quirky parents make up the major characters who will bring you lots of smiles and “awwws”.

The Somerset Girls was an enjoyable read by Lori Foster. It was sweet and summery, and there were things I loved about this book. However, there were also times I was a bit bored, which is unusual for me with a Lori Foster book. I found myself reading quickly to get the story moving.
The rescue farm run by Autumn and Ember was amazing, and I loved that they worked together to be able to care for all those animals. Furthermore, the animals themselves were quite endearing, especially Pavlov.
I also enjoyed Tash's daughter Sadie. She was such a sweet girl, and she stole my heart.
I actually wish there had been more story for Mike and Ember because those two were fire.
***I received an Advance Reader Copy in exchange for an honest review.***

I enjoyed the relationship between the sisters, Autumn and Ember. Their farm for rescued animals is a clever subplot. I liked how they joined forces for a common goal (caring for their parents as well as the animals) yet the story also highlighted their distinct personalities and attitudes. This novel combines elements of women's fiction as well as romance. Mike and Tash are two very different men and the author did a nice job structuring both romances and carrying all four characters on interesting, plausible journeys.
The little girl in the story is adorable and made me smile often as I read.
For me, the stakes didn't seem real high in this story. The obstacles the protagonists had to battle in order to achieve their goals didn't seem all that difficult to overcome.
The role of Chuck as an antagonist confused me. I kept expecting him to add an element of suspense to the story and when that didn't happen, I was puzzled. He seemed like a non-issue and a lame ex-boyfriend, rather than a significant obstacle for Autumn.
This is a sweet, heartwarming story about the Somerset sisters and the people they love. Fans of Lori Foster will like the characters, the animal rescue farm and the balance between romance and the sisters' close relationship.
Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions stated here are my own.

What a great story about two sisters. One is free spirited one is reliable. But are they really so different or are they just looking for love. You will fall in love with each crazy character in this book
