A story about relationships, that between parents and children, between siblings and between lovers. Autumn and Ember, sisters who seem to be completely different on the outside are running their grandparents animal rescue farm while navigating their relationships; Autumn on the quiet side, Ember a flashy little spark. Throw in family dynamics, a hot farm hand and a single dad who’s always been on Autumn’s radar and you’ve got a little fiction, a little romance and some overall good feelings. While it might be on the “cheese” side for some; its never a bad idea to dive into something like this when you need a little spark in your day!

Lori Foster has been one of my all time favorite authors since I read Don't Tempt Me and I had the chance to meet her in person. This book was now that I fell in love with early on and I did not want it to end. This one had a set of sisters and animal rescue and I just loved every second of it. The story was heartwarming and a total love for me.

I want to be their sister too! This story had everything that I love in a book-family, kids, animals, second chances, sexiness and fun. Autumn and Ember are sisters that work together designing and building plus rescuing animals to live on their inherited farm. The sisters are polar opposites but love each other fiercely, which drew me and kept me riveted through the end. Two swoon-worthy men, a precocious seven year old, and two quirky parents make up the major characters who will bring you lots of smiles and “awwws”.

The Somerset Girls was an enjoyable read by Lori Foster. It was sweet and summery, and there were things I loved about this book. However, there were also times I was a bit bored, which is unusual for me with a Lori Foster book. I found myself reading quickly to get the story moving.

The rescue farm run by Autumn and Ember was amazing, and I loved that they worked together to be able to care for all those animals. Furthermore, the animals themselves were quite endearing, especially Pavlov.

I also enjoyed Tash's daughter Sadie. She was such a sweet girl, and she stole my heart.

I actually wish there had been more story for Mike and Ember because those two were fire.

I enjoyed the relationship between the sisters, Autumn and Ember. Their farm for rescued animals is a clever subplot. I liked how they joined forces for a common goal (caring for their parents as well as the animals) yet the story also highlighted their distinct personalities and attitudes. This novel combines elements of women's fiction as well as romance. Mike and Tash are two very different men and the author did a nice job structuring both romances and carrying all four characters on interesting, plausible journeys.
The little girl in the story is adorable and made me smile often as I read.
For me, the stakes didn't seem real high in this story. The obstacles the protagonists had to battle in order to achieve their goals didn't seem all that difficult to overcome.
The role of Chuck as an antagonist confused me. I kept expecting him to add an element of suspense to the story and when that didn't happen, I was puzzled. He seemed like a non-issue and a lame ex-boyfriend, rather than a significant obstacle for Autumn.
This is a sweet, heartwarming story about the Somerset sisters and the people they love. Fans of Lori Foster will like the characters, the animal rescue farm and the balance between romance and the sisters' close relationship.
Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions stated here are my own.

What a great story about two sisters. One is free spirited one is reliable. But are they really so different or are they just looking for love. You will fall in love with each crazy character in this book

Autumn and her sister Ember, run an animal sanctuary. Autumn is also an interior decorator and Ember is a builder. They have been burned by men. After being left at the altar, Autumn swears off men until she runs into Tash. Tash is a single father with a seven year old little girl. He has moved back to town and gets Autumn to redecorate his daughter, Sadie’s room. Ember builds a giant play yard in the shape of a pirate ship in order to get Sadie acclimated to her new home. Tash is attracted to Autumn but decides to take it slow after her comment about ice cream being better than a man. Autumn finally realizes Tash is worth giving her ice cream up for.

Such a sweet, romantic story. A new series by Ms. Foster and it will be a hit. A little girl who has seen more than she should in her little life, a dad trying to get his girl to trust him, and a woman who loves them both. Animals, a sister, and an ex.

What a wonderful, touching and heartfelt story. Oh my! The Somerset Girls had everything my heart wanted to read. Two amazing love stories. One adorable little girl that just brought everyone together. And a farm full of some really cute animals with some pretty amazing personalities. Seriously a very feel good story that needs to be read. There is a tissue warning but in a good way. Add in some hot chemistry between both couples and a few sexy scenes that is just sigh worthy and this story is the perfect remedy for what ails you. I'm still flying high after finishing this book.

I truly enjoyed getting to know Autumn and Ember - and while I'm usually a little indifferent to stories that follow two couples, it worked really well here!
I got the sisters and how supportive they were towards each other, and I loved both that and them. The romance was also very well done, and I got enough time with each of the couples, so I didn't feel like one of them was left out.
Foster always manages to write characters that are well fleshed out, and I felt like they were all completely tangible here - even side characters had enough characteristics to be realistic, and there were no flat ones that were just there decorating the background.
If you're looking for a story with strong relationships, well rounded characters, and a beautiful arc, The Somerset Girls is for you!

The Somerset Girls – Autumn and Ember Somerset – is all about the relationship between the sisters, and their lives, with two alpha hunks thrown in for good measure. Where Autumn is quiet and unassuming, believing she is the “plain and uninteresting” sister, Ember is truly “out there”. Let’s say they are wrong about themselves and need to talk to one another to fix those thoughts. Each sister is hiding some big…hurts, even from themselves. The one thing that IS right between these sisters is that their bond is very strong. No matter what, they have each other’s back and will go to the mat for one another; that is their absolute truth.

How they work thru their “personal truths”, each doing some major soul searching and growing, makes for a wonderful story. Add in the “boys” and it was absolutely fascinating to read. Then add their parents – OMG, they are OUT there! – but truly are good people and loving parents. And there’s a little girl who will melt your heart, as she did mine.

To me, The Somerset Girls is more about Autumn and Ember, with wonderful stories about their lives and how they find love when and where they least expect it. I really don’t want to say more as reading and enjoying each of their journeys is what makes this book wonderful. I highly recommend you read it when you have put everything else aside so you can enjoy.

Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Romance (U.S. & Canada) and HQN for the advance reader copy, The Somerset Girls by favorite romance author, Lori Foster, in exchange for an honest review. I absolutely loved sisters, Autumn and Ember Somerset, and their relationship in this beautiful novel of family and pets, rescue, love, and hope. I could not stop reading about these sisters, their love interests, Mike and Tash, and Sadie, Tash’s young daughter. The added plot of their rescue of abused animals, all with personalities and names resonated with all the feel goods that Lori Foster books give me. The romances of the sisters, their aging parents and their goofy relationships all combine for an awesome read; highly recommended.

This book is what Lori Foster excels at, family, friendships, and new beginnings. I love how we get both sisters POV’s in this book. Family is a big integral part of this book, not only for the sisters but with Tash and his daughter too. The bonds between everyone in this book and how she interweaves it into something so tight it can’t be unwound is amazing.

Autumn is so independent as a character; she doesn’t really rely on anyone but herself. This trait is good and bad, she feels she can’t trust anyone to do as good a job as her, which will run her down eventually. It was so sweet to see her naturally bond with Sadie, and then how patient she was. Autumn is a naturally kind woman but to see it with a child is even more revealing. Autumns bond with her sister also revealed another side to her, she can be kind but give a dose of reality when needed. Seeing that she had insecurities made her more relatable.

Ember on the other hand was to be the free-spirited sister the one to let loose and not have any problems. However, everyone knows what that means, that Ember is the one with the most problems to hide. She has a hard time communicating her feelings for a special someone and he doesn’t seem to get what she wants from him. Her soft side is shown with the animals, and its oh so sweet. I really enjoyed that Ember was the builder in the family, she didn’t mind getting her hands dirty.

I adored Tash and Mike; they were the perfect backup for these two incredibly strong women. They didn’t need rescued, they wanted partners and they found them. Of course, nothing worth having is ever easy, Tash has a daughter, and Mike has a secret past. Whenever either girl has a problem and both men group together to take on the challenge those parts made me smile. I also loved that both big men would melt and do anything for one tiny girl.

I really enjoyed all of this book and would recommend it to anyone who would like some women’s fiction with some slow burn romance added in. I received my copy in lieu of any honest review from HQN, Net Galley, and Lori Foster.

This was great! The story for both women are unique and special. The characters are easy to love. I couldn't stop thinking about it after I put it down and it kept urging me to pick it back up. I absolutely loved it!

*Received arc from author & Netgalley for an honest review* The Somerset Girls is another amazing book by Lori Foster who never disappoints! Autumn & Tash (& his daughter Sadie) and Ember & Mike deserved their HEA (all experienced some difficulties & heartbreaks). Lori also had me with the animal rescue & the adorable dog Pavlov!! This book had all the feels, it was funny, heartbreaking, heartwarming, emotional. Family dynamics are always interesting and this family had its issues like all families do but when it came down to it they loved each other & always were there for each other. I highly recommend this book!!!

Sweet...

Such sweetness, this story is about sisters, family and love. Another fun read by this author.

I really enjoyed it.

I picked up this book because I fell in love with the previous LF book I read, The Sisters of Summer's End. This one however, started off so terribly for me that I was worried it wouldn't redeem itself. Over and over and over (and over and over and over) you read about how each sister's lives seemed to be the way they are because of their mother's impressions of them. Autumn is "big boned" and "dependable" and alone because she's boring. Ember is "flighty" and "unreliable" because she's a"free spirit" like her. I was over it.

The good news, is once you get past the awkward pairings of everyone, they really do belong together (there's a love story here for each sister). By the end, the relationships felt real and I was cheering for each of them.

3 1/2 stars, rounded up to 4. Thank you Netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The Somerset Girls is a delightful novel about the two Somerset sisters, Autumn, a designer, and Ember, a builder. When their grandparents passed away and left the sisters their farm, the two turned the house into a duplex so that they would have separate residences. In their spare time, the Somerset sisters run the animal rescue farm they inherited. Their parents live on a cottage on the property, due to the ill health of their father.

Autumn's ordered world starts to change when her high school crush, Tash Ducker, comes back to town with his adorable daughter, Sadie, in tow. Soon, Autumn is working on designs for some modifications to his home to make it more appealing and suitable for his daughter, who has had a more difficult life than Dash had realized. He is trying to do what he can to make amends and make sure the rest of her childhood is as carefree as possible. After he and Autumn agree on the designs, the plan is for Ember to do the actual modifications.

Soon Autumn and Tash are involved on a romantic level, and Ember is finding romance as well.

This was a charming book with a very sweet love story between Autumn and Tash. It was primary, but there was also a love interest for Ember in ranch employee, Mike. Autumn and Tash were great characters, as were Ember and Mike, but young Sadie completely steals the show! She is delightful. The animals on the rescue farm also added very positively to the story. They were fun! This is a very enjoyable book that should suit fans of women's fiction, as well as those of romance.

I received an ARC from NetGAlley and this is my honest review.

The Somerset girls, Autumn and Ember are sisters who work well together. Whether it be Ember building a house or playground that Autumn has designed, or running their animal rescue farm these girls are strong and independent.
Where they differ is in their relationships with men. Ember is carefree and flirty while secretly pining for the man for whom she really has feelings. Autumn, who was hurt and humiliated by a man she thought she could trust, is careful to protect t her heart.

Lori Foster is a master at creating characters who jump off the page and demand your full attention. This book would be worth reading just for the chance to get to know 7 year old Sadie! Fortunately, everything else about this book is golden!

Thanks #Netgalley for the opportunity to read this ARC of #TheSomersetGirls in return for an honest review.
