This book was bloody brilliant. And I say that for 2 reasons: 1. because it's very true. And 2., because like many of the phrases and terms you will find in this work, it's an excellent Britishism.

Not only is this work timely and important, it's also filled with wonderful characters and a gorgeous setting readers will want to return to again and again. Indeed, the character of Aurora Jones could have her own cozy mystery series, she's so wonderful! She's sharp as a whip, funny, caring, and just the right amount of nosy that makes for the perfect amateur detective. But I digress...

The Ministry for Ignoring Climate Change is both sobering and inspiring. It shakes readers up with hard facts about global warming while at the same time showing that change can happen even at a grass roots level. It is a fantastic, intelligent and accessible read that will draw readers in and keep them informed and `entertained throughout the work. Millar is a brilliant writer and one to watch out for!

I really liked this book. It was different from what I normally read; but I found it interesting and easy to get into;. I expected a full satire, and although it is definitely a comedy, it is subtle enough and full of facts and real issues. I know about global warming but little about local issues and consequences of it, and this was a good way to get more knowledge about it and about the social inequalities that global warming also causes. The characters were well-developed and kept me interested in the plot. Clever book.

Set in Canada this light hearted humorous tale immerses itself in a small community that has had its economy devastated by a massive deduction in Salmon numbers as a result of man made climate change.

The colourful characters and the satirical take down of the government’s approach to responding to Climate Change are both a joy to behold.

As the story continues I found myself rooting for the community of Esh and was not disappointed.

If you want a light story that still packs a punch about the Climate then you will enjoy this, a very enjoyable read, 4/5.

Thank you NetGalley for an ARC in return for a fair review.

Quite an enjoyable read. I don't read much satire, but this was well done. I enjoyed the whole package -- characters, plot, dialog, etc. I hope the author writes another book soon.

Thanks very much for the review copy!!

The premise was interesting but the execution was slow. It seemed like there was a lot more potential here than was done with it, YMMV

First, I would like to thank the author and publisher for sending me an ARC of this book. I thoroughly enjoyed it and thought it was very well written. The topics it touches on are relevant and important to today’s standards and the word choice and political satire used made it even more interesting. This is a book I will not forget and it will keep me thinking for years to come.
