Unfortunately this book just wasn't for me - I struggled with the format and found the plot too slow, I wasn't hooked in and found myself drifting away from the book, my mind wandering to other things. I don't doubt that some people would have really enjoyed the styling of this book, and the plot but it just wasn't for me.

This is a really different read. It’s a story of two families who are holidaying on a Greek island when tragedy strikes. One of the party is found unconscious in the sand after falling (or being pushed ) from a cliff.
What follows is a series of short passages written as interviews with each of the party and it soon becomes clear that there are many tensions and underlying issues amongst the group.
This style of narrative will either work for you, or, it won’t. I found it frustrating at times, but, overall, this is an easy read from an author I enjoy. Solid 3* Good Read.

I enjoy the author's Jessica Daniel series and was rather taken aback by this story.

A family holiday on a Mediterranean island and Geoff McGinley's business partner is found dead. Did he fall from a cliff or was he pushed? Nine years later, Geoff McGinley falls from the same cliff..The book is a collection of interview transcripts from a never released documentary film.

It was intriguing but I didn't really find it compelling. Most of the characters were very unsympathetic.

This is absolutely AMAZING!! This is a true story page-turner and it honestly can't get much better than that. There was never a dull moment, I read it every chance that I got. I cannot wait for the rest of the world to indulge in this fantastic novel!!!

I am normally a huge fan of Kerry's books but this just wasn't for me, I didn't like the style of writing or the characters and I found it very hard to read.

A puzzle, indeed. I have read a number of Kerry Wilkinson's books and am a great fan of hers. However, I would not place this one at the top of my list.

The reading was a bit choppy, yet I did understand that this may have something to do with this being a true story. I hoped that ALL of the characters were guilty - yet they were believable but unlikeable. I cared little for the protagonist, Emma.

The plot was amazing - yet I felt that it was easy to forget if some parts were in the past or in the present. Also, more and more characters were brought in later on in the story. This can be confusing..

I still say this is a good read. Give it a try!!!

I’m a huge fan of Kerry Wilkinson but unfortunately I’m not a fan of Seven Days in July.

The interview / documentary style I liked but the plot moved around far too much. I couldn’t connect with a single character and it just felt like a pointless read. I’ve been left with more questions than answers.

Giving 4 stars because of loyalty to the author but if this was written by anyone else I would rate it as 1 star.

A different kind of story from this author which left me with more questions than answers. Based on true event,none of the characters seem to be telling the truth and nothing but the truth.

Wow! This was amazing! I couldn't put it down. Now it's over I'm still thinking about it. Just brilliant. This author is a force to be reckoned with. With each book he raises the bar. Heart stoppingly thrilling and fiendishly addictive this is one of the best psychological thrillers out there in my opinion.

This was my first book by this author, but I was interested because she seems to have great reviews and an excellent following. I wasn't disappointed and plan to check out her previous novels.

Set in the Mediterranean island with two families on holiday together...disaster strikes. Emma's father is found unconscious on the sand and it looks like he may of fallen from a cliff. But was it an accident or was it something more? As family secrets come out and they turn against each other we have to decide who to believe. Who I believed could alternate from chapter to chapter because each character had a compelling story and truth. Told in interviews you will try to piece together this entertaining read and maybe you will make the complete puzzle, but I certainly didn't!

I just loved this book it was written in such a unique way that it made for a totally different read and one that was gripping from the start and very very compulsive.
Set over seven days on Galanikos an island in the Mediterranean it is written like a transcript from different participants but who do you believe because this is a read with many unreliable characters and this really does make the it a book I flew through.
The characters all believable, the book so well crafted and different the original feel of the book had me hooked and I can well recommend it as a fast paced and brilliant mystery thriller from the brilliant Kerry Wilkinson.

Seven Days In July by Kerry Wilkinson is a suspense thriller set on an island in the Mediterranean. The novel is written as if it is an ongoing interview by a documentary team. I will honestly have to say, I have really enjoyed all the novels by Kerry Wilkinson, especially the Jessica Daniels series. Seven Days in July is not my favorite. I think if this novel had been written in a different format I could have enjoyed the plot and mystery more, I found most of the characters were selfish and arrogant, except for the mother and Emma. The mother is the only character which has no voice in the narratives. The opinions by family and friends of Emma, had me second guessing if Emma was a bit psycho or just misunderstood. Each person seemed to have a hidden agenda or secret motive.
Some readers will find this style novel very intriguing.

So conflicted not sure how to rate this. I'm leaning towards 3.5 stars. I enjoyed the book, but wasn't a fan of the interview writing style. I would have given 4 stars but then the ending happened. Such a let down. Nothing was cleared up. What really happened to Geoffrey and Alan? I was expecting a twist or turn. My twist and turn was that I was disappointed(I still enjoyed it). It definitely wasn't what I expected. I enjoyed the story, even though I hated all the characters except for Emma. Emma was smart and witty, the exact opposite of the rest of her family and the people on the trip with her. Everyone else was pretty despicable, except for Claire. I can't believe Emma's parents tolerated Daniel talking to her the way he did. They never stopped him. I definitely saw the foreshadowing at the first buffet dinner. Pretty much Emma told us what was going to happen, so I wasn't surprised. Galanikos did not seem like a dream vacation. I loved the cover of the book.

I do recommend the book. It was a great mystery/thriller. I'm sure a lot of people will enjoy the whole book. I'm a huge fan of the author's previous books, especially the Andrew Hunter Series, so I look forward to reading more books by the author.

I always enjoy this authors work this one a little different but enjoyed . many years ago a family used to go to Greece then stopped going as his friend fell of a cliff but did he fall .then Geoffrey and his wife want to go back but want there family and business partner and wife and two friends to go with them one night Geoffrey falls of same cliff but was he pushed you get the story from his daughter and son business partner and friend and wife but some have secrets and a tv crew is out there as well say no more so recommend .

The characters were believable and the way it was written with the different people giving their versions was a different way of reading a book for me, I liked it. Definitely a fast paced read.

This book is laid out as a series of interviews with the rest of the group. As there is no love lost between several of them their statements are contradictory to say the least. I found this format really fresh and original and it had me racing through the story. In fact I read it in one sitting. Unfortunately I found the end to be a bit of an anti climax. I had imagined that there would be a great twist and when it didn't materialise I felt a bit cheated. Not one of the author's bests.

I have read and adored all of Kerry Wilkinson's books but I'm afraid this one left me cold. I just found it boring and didn't like it's interview type storyline. Having said all that I'll be first in line to read the next one.

Overall was a good read. Not one that u couldn't put down. Going back and firth between people was a different way of writing. 3.5 stars.
