I was immediately interested from the first page, even from this small look into House of Earth and Blood, I really enjoyed this new world that Sarah J. Maas has created. And the mix of the paranormal, Angels and Werewolves, with the normal world really intrigues me. I am very excited to learn more about this new world that she has written. It is not at all what I was expecting, and I mean that in the best of ways.
I loved Bryce and Danika from the beginning and I am very interested to see where the rest of the book will take this story, especially after where it leaves off in the excerpt. I am so ready to read the rest of this book.
I feel like it started off a bit slow, which is kind of necessary with all of the new information being introduced, but it picks up pretty quickly and by the time the excerpt was over I was hooked and dying to read the rest of the book.
Very much looking forward to reading the rest of House of Blood and Earth come its release on March 3'rd.

This was a sample of the new upcoming Sarah J. Maas novel. It was interesting and I will be checking it out when it comes out. I enjoyed the first half of the Throne of Glass series and I'm hoping to enjoy her latest one.

Very very good! A bit wordy for me, way too much description, but I will definitely be reading this!

Very intriguing start! I love how we're introduced to the story and the world building is gorgeous. It feels different compared to Maas' previous novels, but the same as well. I'm excited to read more when the book comes out! And find out where the story is going to go from where this excerpt stops.

Thank you Netgalley and Publisher for the excerpt.
Sarah J. Maas is back and I am so ready to read the rest of this novel.
Temporary rating based on what I have read so far. Review will be updated after publishing.

Another SJM novel that I can’t wait to read ! Angels , Fae , Wolves . A horrible murder by a unknown creature .sign me up .I can’t wait to read the rest This is for only the first 5 chapters!

This excerpt absolutely blew me away! Sarah J. Maas never fails to amaze me, every single book that she writes becomes one of my instant favorites. I pre-ordered House of Earth and Blood immediately after reading this excerpt.

What an interesting start! The world is very dense in comparison to TOG, but I’m so ready to see what happens with Bryce following the events that led to her running into who I assume is Hunt?

This excerpt was AMAZING!! I can not wait to read the entire story. Sarah J. Maas has been one of my favorite authors since I read Throne of Glass and this one is going to be a major hit!

I've enjoyed most of Sarah's other books and remember being excited for and pre-ordering this one. However, this excerpt was actually really helpful in helping me to realize that this book just wasn't for me. I couldn't get into the excerpt which led me to re-read and examine the summary and I realized that it just didn't seem as interesting as her other books did to me.

I really enjoy Sarah J. Maas's books and when I heard about this book I couldn't wait to read it. Well, then I saw NetGalley had an excerpt and I don't normally like them because they are just such a tease but I just couldn't hold my self back from it. I am so glad I did because it gave me a taste of what I will be getting to read very soon and I can't wait to finish it! Huge Thank you to NetGalley and Bloomsbury for this opportunity!

A new world, a new genre, a new game. Maas continues to display her talent as she dives into a paranormal world where monsters and humans combine. Sassy and full of potential, this excerpt only has me craving what will come next.

Can't wait to get my hands on the whole book! Fans will be not be disappointed. Maas does it again. This highly anticipated release will be another bestseller. I'll reserve judgement on the whole story whrn I can read the rest!

While I was definitely interested in what I was reading I felt as if there was too much information being thrown at the readers at once. I felt as if perhaps there was a prequel I had missed where things were slowly introduced which would make reading this excerpt easier.

Holy snap. I wasn’t that excited for Crescent City, but after that excerpt I read from @netgalley, I kind of need it. Now. The end of the excerpt got so good! I need to know what happened.
Initial thoughts of the beginning of this book:
* I didn’t expect this to be a magical realism type novel. It’s already quite different than her other two series. I love the diverse cast of characters. So many different kinds of creatures all living together in a modern world.
* I don’t see the need to have the f word on nearly every page. Just because it’s an adult novel doesn’t mean the text needs to be saturated with f-bombs.
* If the beginning is already this heartbreaking, what is the rest of the novel going to be like? My heart feels for Bryce and the other characters. I now have this intense desire to know what happens.

I'm so excited for the rest of this book!! 5 chapters just isnt enough to hold me over. Her writing has always blown me away, she has an incredible ability to build these worlds that completely pull you in. I've already preordered my copy!!

So far this book is mazing! I can't wait to read the rest of it! I love Sarah J. Maas so very much! Everything she writes is incredible!

If you like other titles from Sarah J Mass this another great story. This has many laments from other stories she has told with angel’s, wolfs and many other creatures. From what I read it sounds like the main character goes though some hard times. This has definitely made me really excited for the full book to find out more on the characters and seeing where this story will go.

So excited to read HOUSE OF EARTH AND BLOOD on March 3rd! This preview looks so promising. Sarah J. Maas is the queen of complex world-building and action-packed stories. Can't wait.

Well I can tell from the first fave characters that SJm has done it again. This one is going to be hell of a ride already. Bryce already seem like a character that I get root for and will be up there with Aelin and Feyre. The world building in just this first five chapters is already interesting and complex. I had to take notes already to digest what was going on. I saw that cliffhanger coming since a certain character was getting so much background information quickly. So I knew some shit was about to happen. I can't wait to read the rest March 3rd.
