This is a beautiful book for any coffee table. I don’t think reading it in electronic form looses some of the beauty of the book. The photographs and 3D and cut out images of various cities and buildings are not only fascinating with lots of facts but also beautiful illustrations which have actually made me even more excited to visit a number of these cities that I have yet to see and the ones I have already visited it has brought back so many happy memories. This is a book you can go back to again and again.

This title is a lovely resource for travelers both virtual and real.  Iconic locations from each featured city are highlighted.  For New York, it is the Empire State building.  For Beijing readers see the Forbidden City while in Venice, we view St. Mark's Basilica and in Paris, Notre Dame.  Then there is Christ the Redeemer in Rio, Tower Bridge in London and Senso-ji Temple in Tokyo.  If these locations intrigue you, this book will be a delight.

For each featured city, there is a spread with a map, key facts and then an essay.  This is followed by a detailed look at the featured building.  Throughout there are many photos of each of these amazing metropolises.

This book would be a great addition to the travel library of someone you know.  Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this title in exchange for an honest review.

Much like the other title in this series (World'd Greatest Wonders), this is an absolutely stunning book.

The photography is colourful, engaging and gives you a real sense of each place. There are annotations and cross sections which are annotated with fantastic facts.

Its goes beyond other greatest city type guides as it offers some unique insights and is thorough.

Thanks to Quarto Publishing - Chartwell Books and Netgalley for the chance to read this advanced readers copy. I'll definitely be buying a copy for my school library.

Stunning book with amazing photographs. It will have you itching to travel to these wonderful cities. In addition to the photographs there are colourful maps, charts, building breakdowns which give so much information and perspective on each place. It is one of those books to lose yourself in while you make plans for a weekend or more away. The information about each city is excellent too, all key facts are provided that would help in planning any trip away. Definitely a book you want to own in hardback and keep on the coffee table or giving as a gift. I would love to keep dipping in and dreaming over the pictures.
