I really enjoyed this book, I read it in one sitting and couldn't put it down.

Low is a lonely awkward teenager, who be friends an adult who used to be loved on social media, who now has been disgraced. It follows their friendship, from being friends to enemies and back. It is a toxic relationship and I hated all the characters. All of them! But that's when you know the author is doing her job.

This is the first book by Robyn Harding that I have read and I believe I need to go back and read everything she's ever published. Her writing is magic, I felt like I was in the small sleepy island town. Loved every second of this book.

I was given this book in exchange for my honest review.

I loved this book just like I love all of Robyn Harding's books. It's about a socially awkward teen with no friends that becomes obsessed with an Instagram celebrity. It was twisty, and exciting and I couldn't put the book down until it was finished. I'm excited for more books from her in the future.

The Swap had everything I have come to expect from a Robyn Harding dark thriller...and more. The subject matter was thought-provoking and the characters intriguing. As the story is told from multiple points of view, the reader is able to experience the depth of each character’s emotions, making even the most unlikable characters relatable.

From the first chapter, I was invested in the story and enjoyed the journey all the way through to the twisty, unexpected ending. The Swap really was a fabulous thrill ride that I didn’t want to end.

Thanks to Simon & Schuster Canada and NetGalley for the advance reading copy.

I could not get into this book. It starts off with a lonely wife and a teenager becoming friends. The teen then becomes jealous and obsessive. A big DNF for me.

This is my first Robyn Harding read and I loved it! This story of manipulation, obsession, and deceit kept me turning the pages. I loved the multiple POV's, I thought it created a more complete understanding of all these characters. There were lots of twists and turns and gasp-worthy moments! The blurb certainly didn't disappoint my expectations.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a temporary digital ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Wow, this book was...intense! I wasn't sure I would like it when I started and I almost gave up on it, but then I got into it and kept reading just to see how things would play out. None of the characters were particularly likeable and they all seemed to have serious issues. I didn't root for any of them, except the baby, and it seemed like it ended with everyone getting what they wanted (except Freya) and no one being held accountable for their behaviour. I would definitely recommend the book if you're looking for something you can binge through in a day or two. The writing will draw you in and keep you interested to the end!

Thank you to Simon and Schuster Canada for the advanced copy of this book!

WOW. What a drama filled story and I loved every single part of it. All of the characters were incredibly interesting.

I would have loved to read from Freya’s perspective, but overall, this was another great book from Robyn Harding.👏🏼

How do you feel about the swinger community? Robyn Harding has a way of creating stories about controversial social situations into great psychological thrillers. This is my second book of hers and I flew through it.

Written in different POVs, the story follows Low, a lonely seventeen-year-old who befriends and becomes obsessed with Freya, an influencer who just moved to the island with her husband Max. They eventually meet Jamie and Brian, another couple who recently moved to the island and their connection is immediate, which rises the drama with Low’s jealousy towards Jamie. Both couples meet for one night to relax using drugs and things got a little of hand, to say the least…

I would’ve loved to read more about Low’s and Freya’s mental health, at least for me it left a few questions unanswered. Aside from that, it was truly a page-turner as I expected it to be.

When I first saw this book available on @netgalley I had to request it immediately. I was praying I would be approved for it. I absolutely loved The Arrangement and hoped this one would be even better.
.
Low, is an awkward teenager who doesn’t really fit in. It doesn’t help matters that her parents are in a polyamory relationship. When Low sees a woman named, Freya, at her school her life is changed forever. Low is mesmerized by Freya and wants to be apart of her life.
.
Freya, is an instagram celebrity and her husband Max is a former hockey player whose life changed when he broke a fellow players neck on the ice.
.
Freya and Max one night decide to swap partners with another couple Jamie and Brian after a night of doing psychedelic mushrooms. When Freya later becomes pregnant it makes everyone crazy trying to figure out who is the father. The aftermath of the night causes such anger, jealousy and envy between Low, Freya, Jamie and Brian.
.
This was a fascinating book and I was intrigued by the subject matter as polygamy is not generally discussed in mainstream society or at least I haven’t experienced it. Also the idea of swapping partners is a foreign concept to me and one I could never be apart of. The author did a terrific job of painting Freya as a villain and you really did find yourself hating her. Low was a confused teenager as most of were and found herself sucked into a world she had never experienced before and excitement caused her to take actions she would not normally have. Overall, I did enjoy the book a lot but I think I found The Arrangement to be even better. There’s a lot to this book and I think if you are a parent you may relate to it even more than I did. It is definitely a worthwhile read so check it out.

Omg. What did I just read? Low's obsession was slightly disturbing. But kept me hooked. I found myself needing to understand the relationship between Freya and her husband Max. Add to it the odd friendship she built with Jamie and her husband Brian. This book has me hooked from the start. Great book about relationships, lust and deceit. I was engaged from the start and it was refreshing to read, as it seems so many other books I've read lately blend together. Thank you #netgalley for this #arc

A fitting psychological thriller that kept me up all night. Told in alternating voices and in the present tense, the story unfolds in front of our eyes as it happens. I love the device used of telling the story through the points of view of different characters. I would have liked a little faster of a beginning but it got rolling eventually and had me gripped through two sittings only because I couldn't keep my eyes open a second longer to finish it in a night. Although the book has no likable characters i enjoyed where each was left come the end.

I have never read any other books by Robyn Harding before and I was quite captivated by this book. I loved this dark thriller and it kept me on the end of my seat throughout. The approach of writing the story from multiple perspectives was perfect for this story. All of the characters are so utterly human that its hard to know what you should be feeling at times. I could relate to Low and her awkwardness, as well as Jamies desire to have a baby. On some level, I felt bad for Maxime but it was truly hard to feel sympathy for Freya at times. This book basically was a deep dive into human emotions such as jealousy, desire and fear and I think it truly approached it in a unique way. I wasn’t sure how this book was going to end but I was definitely not expecting what I read. This book has intruded me to a new author I certainly plan on learning more about. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for an unbiased review.

Robyn Harding has done it again! The Swap was one of my most anticipated reads of 2020, and I can honestly say that it is every bit as wonderful as I had hoped it would be. I greedily devoured this one in a single afternoon, so utterly addictive is Ms Harding's storytelling. This is a dark, twisty, and unrelenting read that you will be pulled into from the very first page.

Low is a lonely teen living on an island in the Pacific Northwest when she meets Freya, a complex and enigmatic potter and Instagram personality. Low is immediately enamoured with the older woman, and soon insinuates herself into her seemingly perfect life. When Freya becomes close with another local woman, Jamie, the two women and their husbands form a bond following a night of partner swapping. Low feels that she has been left in the cold, but remains an unsettling presence when it becomes clear that she will not be so easily dismissed.

This novel captivated me from the very start, and is guaranteed to reel you into its tangled web of secrets, deceptions and intrigue. Highly recommended.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Simon & Schuster Canada for this fabulous ARC.
