Talk about a page-turner! I loved the alternating POVs in Robyn Harding's thriller. To be honest, I don't think I truly liked any of the characters which is great! You need everyone to be a little unsympathetic and therefore realistic. I thought her characterization of Low was spot-on for a teen enamored of an older, gorgeous woman. And it was nicely balanced by Jamie's more mature, but no less obsessive, adoration of Freya. They both were possessive of her in very different ways.

I did NOT see the ending coming and that is all I will say about that. Highly recommended to readers of authors like Megan Miranda.

Thanks to Netgalley for the arc to review.

I really loved this book!! It had so many twists and turns. It kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next!! This was my first book by this Author, and it won’t be the last!! Quick read!! Highly recommended!! You won’t be disappointed!!

While this is described a thriller and a mystery it doesn't really read like much of either. It is however an extremely well written portrayal of some very believable characters in a situation that escalates over the course of the story. It's told from various perspectives and that makes it all the more interesting. Like I said, it's not full of twists and turns but it does build a bit of tension and the ending is perfect. Thank you NetGalley for the advanced readers copy for review.

I was given this book by NetGalley for an honest review -
Low grows up in a hippy family and doesn't feel like she fits in. She meets Freya a beautiful woman who owns a pottery studio. she signs up for a class and falls under Freya's spell. Then Freya meets Jamie and Low feels alone again. Freya invites Jamie and husband over for a party and after that their lives are changed forever. What happened that night? Where does Low fit in? And then the startling conclusion!

I first read Robyn Harding with her book, The Arrangement, which I loved! IO am thrilled to report that I feel the same was about The Swap! I really enjoyed the multiple POVs and the clean, elegant prose. I really enjoyed the rich, unexpected backstories of each character. Highly recommend!!

What a strange world this island is! Another "read in one sitting" books for me, it was that engaging! I liked the switching of POV and I really thought the book was going in another direction, but I'm glad it went the way it did! I felt for Low and (to a lesser extent) Jamie.

A convoluted and twisty tale of deception and obsession, The Swap is just what I have come to expect from author Robyn Harding.

First off, The Swap has a fantastic cast of characters! On one hand, you have Freya, the gorgeous and charming social media influencer, on the other you have Jamie, the barren wife who only needs a child to feel fulfilled and somewhere in the middle is Low, an awkward weird teenager whose obsession will ultimately lead to murder and betrayal. Interested yet? Read on! When a wild night of magic mushrooms and booze leads to …. Yep, you guessed it, a swap, things begin to spiral out of control, leading to a shocking climax that left me stunned and I must admit, surprised. This is an ending I did not see coming! I had actually already played out what I thought was going to happen in my head, so, yep, surprised!

This is a captivating story that didn’t let up. Fast paced and riveting, filled with dysfunctional relationships and deadly secrets – right to the very end. It is pure unadulterated thrills and suspense and I loved every second of it.
A big thank you to Gallery Books, Robyn Harding, and NetGalley from providing me with a DRC in exchange for my honest review.

Good book! I'll leave the summary to others and just give my thoughts. I at first thought the title is a little misleading because it's only one night. Revised my opinion, though, because that one event set up chain reaction for the story to unfold. Nothing else could have happened without that One Night. Never saw the twists and turns in this book, it was very much like riding a roller coaster while wearing a blindfold! On one hand, there is Thompson's obvious adoration of Low (and her disdain). On the other is Low falling over herself to tend to Freya (and her bored acceptance). Did Low see the irony? I liked that the author gave various povs, so that we could feel each character's struggles. Freya annoyed me,. She's exactly like the popular, pretty girl in middle school who can only be a bff with one girl at a time. She thrives on the adulation and feels threatened when/if her friends pair off. She controls the dynamics of every relationship. I felt for Jamie because I struggled with infertility, too. The characters were believable, and the story line freaky-plausible. I'll be looking for other books by this author.

The Swap by Robyn Harding. Thanks to @net and @gallerybooks for the e-arc ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

When two married couples swap partners during a risqué party, unexpected results ensue.

This book reminded me of Never Have I Ever... well really the main characters were similar. The perfect narcissistic evil woman for the storyline. If it wasn’t for the other redeeming characters, I wouldn’t have been able to stomach it. This was a fun thriller. Not a lot of twists, turns and surprises, but a slow burn with a dramatic and unexpected ending. I definitely recommend this one for thriller fans! It comes out 6/23.

I absolutely loved this despite all the "p.c." characters with their precious "p.c." lifestyle - it all just made sense. I really couldn't put this down and it's an absolutely perfect read dring these troubled times. The pacing is great!

Thank you NetGalley and Gallery/Scout Press for the digital ARC!

Rounding up from 4.75 stars.

What an amazing ride. The story of two couples (Freya and Max and Jamie and Brian) who, thanks to 'shrooms, swap partners one night. The aftermath is toxic. And intertwined with everyone is Low, a lonely teen with an unhealthy obsession with Freya (which Freya exploits).

The book is expertly paced. Told from all 5 main characters's points of view, in alternating chapters. It's not confusing (the men don't get too many chapters) and Low is the main narrator. Harding captures the different voices perfectly. And the ending -oh, the last couple of chapters - perfection! Nobody is without blame.

Thanks to NetGalley for the free ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Another winner by Robyn Harding! Her latest tale spins a web of deceit among two married couples residing in the Pacific Northwest, along with the teenage neighbor who becomes obsessed with them. What happens when sex, betrayal, and obsession overlap? Read it and find out.

Low is an awkward teen who considers herself a loner. When she meets the beautiful and captivating Freya, she instantly becomes attached. Freya and her husband Max, an ex-hockey player, have just moved to town. Freya begins teaching pottery lessons to occupy her time, and before she knows it, Low is her best student. Low admires everything about Freya....her sexiness, independence, and worldliness. She assumes that although Freya is much older, they will form a close friendship. That is, until Jamie enters the picture.

Jamie and her husband Brian are also fairly new to town. When Jamie and Freya begin hanging out, Low is instantly jealous. How could Freya betray her like this? How can she get back in Freya's good graces?

While Low bemoans her fate, Freya and Jamie begin to grow even closer. Until one night when the two couples party a little too hard, and temptation rears it's ugly head. While Freya and Jamie make choices that have the potential to change their lives, Low witnesses the tawdry acts that occur that evening. And she tucks away their ugly secrets, ready to reveal them if she needs to.

As time goes on, Freya and Jamie's friendship begins to be torn apart by the acts of that night. Jealous obsession takes over, and an insidious secret is soon revealed. When a final violent act takes place, Low is forced to make some difficult choices....choices that will alter her life.

Great book! Super quick read....I knocked it out in one day. Harding had me hooked from page one, and did not disappoint in the least.

The Swap by Robyn Harding was a unique and unsettling novel about obsession, infidelity and what that can do to a marriage. Jamie and Brian are a young couple who have been struggling with fertility issues for many years. Their marriage has been floundering under the weight of expensive treatments, lost pregnancies and scheduled sex in their efforts to have a child of their own. Freya and Max are the perfect couple, beautiful, travel all over the world and wealthy from Max's former career as an ice hockey player. Freya takes Low, a local high school student under her wing when she starts giving her pottery lessons.

When, after an evening of using 'shrooms Freya suggests switching partners, Julia is fraught with guilt, although she keeps it to herself. Freya, who never thought it could happen, winds up pregnant. But whose child is it? Her husband's or Brian's? And why is Freya running so hot and cold, purging Jamie, then Low from her life, then welcoming them back in with open arms?

The Swap shows that you never quite know a person, no matter how close you think you are. Thank you to the author, Gallery Books and Netgalley for an ARC of this novel in return for my honest review.

Talk about a thriller! I just love Robyn Harding's books and this one is no exception. I was completely absorbed by this crazy story and read it in two sittings. It was very fast paced and edgy and kept me thinking even after I was done. What could possibly go wrong while swapping husbands after a drug induced night?! This is a guaranteed must read.

Wow, The Swap, was an amazing thriller! I read a lot of psychological thrillers, but this one takes the cake. Robyn Harding does it again, 5 stars!

A high school senior, Low, meets a beautiful young woman, Freya, that is new to her small town. She immediately feels a soul connection with her and forges an unlikely friendship. Freya is a social media celebrity and influencer that is married to a very attractive professional ex hockey player. What happens with Low becomes obsessive of her friendship with Freya? How well do you really know someone?

I absolutely loved The Arrangement and was really looking forward to reading Harding’s latest thriller. She definitely impressed me yet again and is becoming one of my favorite authors.

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion. This book is addictive and absolutely page turning from the very first page. This book is one of those books from the minute you sit down you will not get back up until you finish it. It has all kinds of crazy twists-obsession, bad relationships and lots of secrets. You will be shocked at the ending. Robyn has been added to my list of must read authors!

A definite page turner. Three women deeply intertwined in a manipulative game of jealousy and obsession. When a narcissist, a childless woman and an awkward teenager's paths cross, all hell breaks loose. Fast paced and told from different characters voices. Will definitely read more from this author.
Thanks Netgalley, Goodreads and the publishers for an advanced reading copy.

Would you and your partner enjoy an evening of partner-swopping and drugs. Perhaps. Not if you knew the consequences to the characters in the new Harding, novel , a follow up to the ‘Arrangement’ which I read earlier this year. Harding has developed a certain niche in domestic thrillers : over the top and over the norm people and plots pushing every social and moral norms. The central person is a magnetic, manipulative artist whose sensual self moves everyone she meets. Here, teenagers, married men and women fall under her spell wanting only to be loved by her, at the expense of all others. Even though you would never want to meet or be one of the people in the story, you keep reading as you are under her spell too.
