Home to Me was such an intense read. The book had me at the edge of my recliner. I too went through an abusive marriage and this book hit home, but in the end we over come our demons and life goes on. Erin was a very strong woman who found her way with new friends, who gave her the love and support Erin needed and a new loving and caring man. I hope there is more books from this series from Catherine Bybee.

Home to Me by Catherine Bybee is the second in the Canyon Creek series. I love the closeness of this family, the characters are wonderful!
Erin Fleming has leased the guest cottage from her friend Parker in the area of Santa Clarita, California. Erin is living a double life in order to escape a very powerful and abusive husband. She must keep her past secret for her plan to work and to keep her friends safe. Erin knows her husband Desmond will never stop looking for her and he will finally kill her.
Parker's brother Matt Hudson is a firefighter. He is attracted to Erin and wants to get to know her more. Erin tries to avoid Matt but is attracted to him, too. Passions heat up between Erin and Matt!
Erin's only link to her past is her attorney, Renee, who is working on the divorce between Erin and her husband. Desmond will not sign the divorce papers. Could there be a link to her father's wedding gift of shares in Vertex and his refusal of a divorce?
I won't post spoilers, but there is a lot of action in this story. I loved Parker and Colin's proposal experience! Reading about the wedding dress shopping had me scheduling "Say Yes to the Dress" on my TV and I worried about Gracie's 'date'. I was so happy Erin found her courage and now you need to read the story!

I loved this book and couldn't put it down. I just had to find out Erin's story and hoped that life would come good for her. Compulsive reading, once you start...make sure you have time to finish in one sitting!

The second installment in The Creek Canyon series, HOME TO ME by Catherine Bybee is another excellent book by this talented writer.

Domestic abuse is never an easy topic to handle because it has so many facets and can be a trigger for many readers. ByBee handles the topic effectively and you truly grow to care about her heroine, Erin Fleming.

Since running away from her abusive and murderous husband Desmond, Erin has made a new life for herself. She shies away from men and doesn’t divulge much about her past to her landlady and friend Parker, but as she grows closer to her newfound friends, she starts to gain strength of self and sees she can still experience a life despite being on the run.

The evolving love story between Matt and Erin is sweet, is most part because Matt understands her need to go slow. I love a slow burn love story and theirs was lovely.

If you enjoy the storyline of a woman who escapes an abusive relationship and finds her inner strength and courage, then you do not want to miss this book! I loved Erin and found her to be a very believable character. Matt, the man she meets while hiding from her husband, is exactly what you would want to find if you were in that situation. This book was a good read!

I'm really enjoying this series by Catherine Bybee. Home to Me is the second in the series and is the story of Matt and Erin. We meet Erin in the first book when she moves into the guesthouse of Matt's brother's fiancé. I am normally not a fan of the quick in love story but Bybee has a way of writing Matt and his instant attraction and affection for Erin that feels so much more believable. And Matt, a firefighter, is just so good. He's patient and caring with Erin who has a major past that is catching up with her in a very dangerous way. Bybee is not afraid to tackle difficult issues and she does so with abuse in this book so there is a trigger warning for that. I appreciate how she does this so well and writes characters that are strong and resilient. The books sucks you in and keeps you turning the pages late into the night since it is so hard to put down. I am definitely looking forward to more books to come in this series.

Home To Me is the second book in Catherine Bybee’s Canyon Creek series. Focusing on Parker’s tenant Erin, the story reveals in detail why Erin is so secretive and jumpy. Reading about abuse is never easy, but in the author’s capable hands readers also are exposed to the importance of a strong support system. This is an emotional and inspirational story contrasting real love versus control as Erin learns to trust and develop a new relationship with firefighter Matt. Erin is watching Parker target practice. I like the name Parker. Erin lives in Parker's guest house. I was very interested in the shooting scene. I couldn't get interested in the following dialogue.

In the 2nd book in the Creek Canyon series we are reintroduced to Erin Fleming, who is renting the guest house owned by Parker Sinclair, and Matt Hudson, brother of Colin Hudson who is now engaged to Parker.

Erin is a very private person who works from home, but she catches the eye of Matt who is a firefighter and there are some real flames between these two people. Matt is outgoing and a real people person, were Erin is a little more reserved but she is soon mixed in with Sinclair family and the Hudson family. Matt’s mom makes sure of that.

I like the way Erin and Matt moved their relationship from one of friends to more than friends. Matt understand that Erin is a little closed off and does not trust easily. He gives her the space to trust him and let her secrets she has been keeping about her past and who the person she has been trying to keep from finding out where she is. When this person finds her, Matt and Erin move fast to find him and keep Erin safe at the same time. The Sinclair’s and the Hudson band together to help this along, as the flames of passion and love smolder and bring Erin to a new life with Matt.

Catherine Bybee does it once again! Home to Me is the second installment in the Creek Canyon series and I completely devoured it in one day! After finishing the first book (My Way to You), my interested was piqued about Erin and I have to say Catherine Bybee definitely delivered with her story! My heart went through a rollercoaster of emotions throughout this novel—heartbreaking, heartwarming, and heartstopping moments all rolled into one fantastic storyline! I am always amazed how all of Catherine’s books are not only addictive and original, but that they all pack so much depth —love that! Home to Me is a 5 star novel that I highly recommend! I am so flipping excited to get my hands on the next book in this must read series!

This book was hard to put down. If you enjoy the trope of a heroine escaping an abusive relationship to hide out in a small town where she finds new friends and a new guy, this book really delivers.

Erin has fled an extremely abusive husband, changed her name and looks and moved across the country to a small town near Los Angeles. There she’s struggling to put her new life together. Her new best friend, Parker is engaged to Colin and Colin’s younger brother, Matt is a hunky firefighter. He’s been attracted to Erin from the first, but she has been in no position mentally to get involved with a new man. She’s still trying to divorce her former husband while staying hidden from him.

Matt is the perfect guy. He senses Erin’s fears and is tenderly gentle and protective with her. Of course, he’s going to eventually win her trust. Now they just have to keep her safe as her evil husband hunts her down.

Home to Me is the second book in the Creek Canyon series by Catherine Bybee and I've been looking forward to this one since the end of the first book. It was definitely worth the wait and more than worth the read!

All Erin Fleming has wanted is to start over. She escaped the clutches of her abusive ex and she changed her name, her look and even found a new career. She found a private guesthouse on the property of Parker Sinclair and the two begin to form a friendship, which helps to make Erin feel more comfortable, but it also helps her to start opening up a bit about what has happened to her, albeit slowly.

Matt Hudson is a firefighter and is also the brother of Parker's boyfriend, Colin, so he has been around Parker's home quite a bit since they started dating and subsequently has met Erin as well. He's an adrenaline junkie and his job is one way he quells that, but he enjoys motorcycles too. He's also loyal, trustworthy and thoughtful.

When Matt and Erin first met, there is no doubt Matt finds Erin attractive and he is brings out his protective instincts. He doesn't ask too many questions at first, but wants to be there for her if and when she needs him. As the two begin to grow closer, Erin is still plagued by her past and as much as she wants to get involved with Matt on a more romantic level, will she allow herself to go there?

I loved the way, and the pace, at which this story unfolded. There were so many things that were dealt with and at times it felt like we were pealing back an onion. There were many, many layers and the deeper we got the more we learned and the more we realized how strong Erin really was. There were so many good lessons in this book and I loved that it was showcased that just because someone goes through these horrific things in their life, it doesn't mean they can't find the love and healing they deserve. I'm really looking forward to what's next in this series.

Great second book in this series!! I could not put this book down once I started reading this. We got a little glimpse of Erin in the first book. In this book, we get to find out why Erin stays in the background so much and wants people to know very little about her. The chemistry between Erin and Matt is off the walls. Matt is a fireman and once he has his sights on Erin, he is not going to give up. Matt is determined to find out Erin’s secrets. Once he does, the really protective side of him comes out and he doesn’t leave her side until the threat is gone and they get their HEA. I loved how the whole family bonded with Erin and gave her the support she needed to get through her ordeal. It was great watching the transformation of Erin going from a victim to a warrior and take her life back which included getting her sister back in her life. Really excited to read the next book in this series and watch Grace finally find her HEA. Thank you again Catherine Bybee for another great book!

We were introduced to Erin Fleming, in the first book of this series. Erin is quiet, kind, helpful, worked from home, and paid in cash. No visitors, no stories about her past, just someone needing an out of the way place to stay. Becoming friends with her landlord was not something she wanted. Calamities have a way of breaking down walls and a new group of friends is born.

This story has triggers for domestic violence survivors. Isolation, terror, worthlessness, self-loathing and fear, are imbedded in the domestic violence survivors’ psyche. This book shows how a fictional character, with help from her friends and ultimately family, can get back on track and embrace true love.

We met Erin in the first book of this series. She's changed her name, her hair color and lives as isolated as possible in the guest house of her friend and landlord, Parker. Matt is a fireman and the brother of Parker's fiancee. Just when Erin begins to feel safe her abusive husband is closing in. This is a nail biter and I was rooting for Erin to get her life back and for Matt to help her. Wonderful story!!

Home to Me is second in the Creek Canyon Series. Although it would be perfectly fine as a stand alone read. I recommend it either way!
When I thought I knew exactly what was going to happen, I didn't. I was surprised, troubled, sad, happy, because there was heartache, suspense and romance.
Erin Fleming is trying to live a low profile life after escaping an abusive relationship. She changed everything about herself to find a new life that doesn't include the physical and emotional abuse of her past.
With a new name and new look and quiet out the way place to live; Erin isn't interested in finding she has an attraction to Matt Hudson, hunky firefighter. The problem with getting close is feeling the need to share. With sharing comes the chance of being found. Matt suspects something has happened in Erin's life and takes their relationship at her pace.
What I appreciated about the story is Erin wasn't ashamed to acknowledge it would benefit her to seek counseling. More than once this was acknowledged and it was a very powerful piece to give readers.
I was so much into the story once I found out Erin's ex's name I was ready to google him!
I had to remind myself this is a book of fiction. A book of fiction with a powerful message and story about a woman of respect and strength. It's a story that tells women never give up. Life can change and there can be happiness.

This is the second book in the Creek Canyon series. This was an exciting story that kept me wondering what was going to happen next. Spousal abuse is not an easy thing to read about. I can only imagine it wasn’t an easy thing for the author to write about. Fortunately, Erin finds Matt and learns a better life. But that doesn’t mean her past is over. It was wonderful meeting up with the characters from Book One in the series.

I am a fan of Catherine Bybee and have read most if not all of her series. She has a talent for making you feel like you are right there with the characters. Home to Me the 2nd book in the Canyon Creek and it is no different with this book. At times this book is will have you catching your breath and make you thankful if you have a good man in your life, We are first introduced to Erin (Maci) when she rents a guesthouse from Parker trying to hide from her old life. She does not want to make any new friends. Parker, her new boyfriend, his brother Matt are making that very difficult. Erin is finding a connection with Matt that she has not felt before. He is a rare find and is showing her how a man is suppose to treat his woman but will danger find them before they can have their happily ever after?
I was given an ARC for my honest opinion. . I am looking forward to the next book in this triology.
