This was a nice read... very entertaining. If I don't get to read an MC book every now and then, I get really cranky and Chantal Fernando is definitely one of my go-to MC authors ;)

This book can be read as a stand-alone, though I find reading them in order does make the reading more pleasurable, because of all the side-characters.

This time around we get Temper's story, the president of the Knights of Fury MC. I always enjoy the president's books a tad bit more...they are just that tad bit more alpha :P

Abbie was also a wonderful character and the age gap trope was the lovely sprinkle on top.

For me, this book was the perfect blend of fun, action, suspense, and romance. I had a wonderful time reading it and I am curious to see what's next.

Hot. Sizzling. Swoon worthy. Temper blew me away. I was always intrigued by him since the start of the series and Fernando did not disappoint with how this story played out. The concept plus the epic twists kept me on my toes the whole time. I adore Abbie and her character. She is witty and sassy. But she is also cautious and intuitive. Blend that with Temper and his brooding and alpha ways, you have a sizzling explosion of passion and one wild ride! Absolutely adored this story!

Temper by Chantal Fernando is book 3 of the Knights of Fury. I don't think you really need to read the previous books but I promise you will be wanting to because you will just love them.

I absolutely love this book. I love the chemistry between Temper and Abbie and I just couldn't put this book down .

If you are into MC romance books I do highly recommend this book.

I give this 5 out of 5.

An irresistible tale of passion, danger, intrigue and suspense, Temper is the latest captivating contemporary romance by Chantal Fernando.

It is a ritual that Abbie is well used to by now. Every year hot tatted biker Temper comes into her bar, orders whiskey and asks her out and every year Abbie turns him down. While Abbie cannot deny that Temper is quite possibly the sexiest man she has ever clapped eyes on, dating a man who goes by the name of Temper doesn’t exactly bode well for a stable relationship. Sure, Abbie is in no doubt that Temper is cool, handsome and seductive and a man who could easily turn any girl’s head, but playing it safe has always stood Abbie in good stead and she is not about to break the habit of a lifetime – no matter how attracted she is to him. However, things have changed for Abbie now. She is tired of being sensible and of letting her head rule her heart. She wants to be daring and adventurous and to stop cowering in the shadows. When Temper asks her out yet again this year, Abbie throws caution to the wind and accepts. But does she know just what she has let herself in for?

Abbie is now older, wiser and sick to the back teeth of being stuck behind a bar in a sleepy town where nothing much seems to happen. Weary of the same old routine, Abbie is looking forward to letting her hair down and having some fun for a change. Temper might be the MC President of the Knights of Fury, but beneath his unconventional exterior lies a sweet, kind-hearted man who will do anything for the woman he loves and who will not hurt a single hair on her head. The stage is set for a romantic date they will both remember – until their elegant dinner ends with a dead body! Abbie was looking for adventure, but she never anticipated this!
Whisked away from small-town life to the big city on the back of a roaring Harley, Abbie is about to go on the ride of her life. With dangerous enemies chasing them, Abbie and Temper need to stay as close to one another as they possibly can because one false move and the consequences do not bear thinking about. But Abbie is not worried. With Temper by her side, she has absolutely nothing to fear. On the road and on the run, their feelings for one another soon escalate, but do Temper and Abbie have any hope of a future together? Or will they end up losing it all just when they have found one another?

Chantal Fernando’s Temper is such a fun read and it is not your typical motorcycle romance. While the stakes are high and the danger for Abbie and Temper is enormous, this is a suspenseful and gripping read peppered with humour, warmth and laughter that will keep readers engrossed from beginning to end. Abbie and Temper are two terrific characters. Flawed, noble, courageous and willing to fight for what they love and believe in, their intense love story tickles the funny bone and touches the heart.

A terrific romance about taking a walk on the wild side, trusting your instincts and taking a chance on love, Chantal Fernando’s Temper is a fantastic tale readers are sure to enjoy.

First of all, you can never go wrong with a Chantal Fernando book! She can do an MC series like nobody else...and Knights of Fury is no exception. This is a standalone novel, but of course, it's always helpful to read the books that come before it. In this case, I'm grateful to have read Books 1 & 2 so that I could appreciate both the hard and soft sides of Temper. For the past 5 years, the Knights have passed through Abbie's small town and stopped in her bar every time, and each time, the older, much rougher Temper tries his hand at asking out the very shy barkeep. Finally, she gives in, they have an amazing date, and drama, violence, and recklessness ensues afterward, causing Temper to make a decision that will forever change Abbie's life and view on the world. Temper has an extremely rough side to him that really intimidates Abbie, so we spend some time watching the two of them get to know each other while also learning to navigate each other's worlds. It's a fantastic and more realistic take on the MC romance genre. The characters are both very relatable and I found myself not wanting to put the book down, always wanting to find out what's on the next page and what's in store for the couple. I don't know how many books are planned for the series, but I hope there are plenty more because it's not hard to fall in love with every single character in the Knights of Fury world. Definitely recommend this read to anyone who loves MC romance with a nice amount of suspenseful drama.

Temper is the third title in the Knights of Fury series.

Temper is the President of the Knights of Fury, and a complex and intriguing character. He's a protective, loyal alpha, driven to keep the Knight of Fury safe, but also has a softer side when it comes to Abbie.

Abbie is loyal, kind and compassionate. She's put her own dreams and desires on hold to help out her family.

The chemistry that this pair shares is undeniable, and their loves scenes are quite hot and steamy.

I highly recommend reading the titles in this series in order or there will be spoilers.

This title is full of action, intrigue, drama and suspense. The twists and turns just kept coming and I look forward to seeing which Knight will be featured next.

Temper is the third stand-alone novel in the Knights of Fury series by Chantal Fernando. The main characters are Abby and (obviously) Temper. The book is supposed to belong in the MC genre, but to me at least, it doesn't. Yes, Temper is a MC president, but at the same time, I feel like it would have been the same novel if there was only one change and that was him been a cop instead of an MC. This book for me had so many ups and downs that I couldn't get a clear vision of what it truly is. Abby went from a person who is afraid and about to run away to an almost veteran and it was a little weird for me to read that. There were some twists that I would mostly call good even if they didn't end up in the way I was expecting them. The book is rather sweet for an MC novel and I was expecting more blood to be honest. Readers who have read the previous books, will enjoy reading about some characters from the other books appearing in this one. Despite all that, I didn't have trouble finishing the book and I would recommend it.

Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆
4.5 stars of patient, passionate biker heaven!

This is the third book in the series, and is another fantastic addition to the Knights of Fury's story. I would recommend that you read them in order, because there are underlying storylines which will make a lot more sense if you do.

Temper now has the pressure of being the Prez, and is working hard to straighten out the club. He has good men at his side and is more interested in maintaining a safe place for them after the dangers of old. That has occupied all his time recently, so when after five years of asking her, Abbie says she will have dinner with him, he is delighted. Having travelled through her town a couple of times a year and watched her grow into an amazing woman, he knows he will have a great evening... then everything goes wrong and their fairytale start becomes a bit of a nightmare.

As the story progresses and all manner of unexpected revelations are made, I loved how the threads we have been given in previous stories all start to tie together, and work really well. Add in a very amusing and fun budding romance, and this is a great read. I love that Abbie is both strong but forgiving. That she is prepared to consider the reason behind events and look forward at what needs to be done. She takes a lot in her stride, and definitely proves herself to be everything that Temper could ever have imagined and wanted.

Really enjoyable book with all the elements that any biker romance lover could wish for and a whole lot more besides. Thank you, Chantal Fernando, for another great read. I look forward to the next installment!

3.5 stars

This is book three in the Knights of Fury series and is about the MC president. I have wanted more of Temper's story from the beginning, but it seemed to be missing something. He just didn't act like an MC prez should have acted to me. And no, I haven't been around any MC members lately.

The story was good and it had a good storyline, but I wasn't involved with the characters in a way I like while reading.

Abbie seemed to be a pushover with her mom. Running the bar one minute and leaving the next. Didn't her mom need her? One time her mom was having trouble remembering to take her medicine, so she just left her mom and her sister. Yes, she was 28, but she had obligations.

Anyway, I did enjoy the story to a point and hope there will be more in this series.

My thoughts

Rating:4

Would I recommend it? Yes

Would i read more of this series? Yes

Would i read more by this author? Yes

This was my first time reading anything by this author and i have to say that i can't wait to read more by her as well as more of this series. While it is book three in a series i had no trouble fellowing along with what was going on and who the characters were . One of the things i loved about this story was how the characters inter acted though out the book and how even though they knew one other for a few years they didn't rush into anything , they took their time and let themselves get to know each other better. The romance had a mixture of sweet but space to it which was great to see in a story. With that said i want to thank the publisher as well as NetGalley for letting me read and review it .

This is a sweet MC romance that I really liked. The only other MC books that I have read have been dark romances so this was a big departure for me but I think Fernando still did a great job of making the motorcycle club dark and sinister but in a more accessible way. Abbie was a great heroine who was put into a bad situation but still did what she could to make the best of it. I love that Abbie and Temper have a backstory and Fernando built on that so it didn't come across at all insta lovey to me. Not only do Temper and Abbie have really great chemistry but they also have a genuine friendship and I think that is one of my favorite things about this book. There was also an amazing group of people in the MC and I look forward to reading more books set in this club in the future. Including the two that I haven't read yet since I definitely want to go back and get the full story on those romances because Skylar and Izzy were fun and sassy characters in this book. I do think that the ending wrapped up everything a little too neatly for my taste but at least there was resolution for all the drama.

I seriously LOVED this book so very hard! Most of the MC books I read have that darker edge which I love, but Temper was a bit lighter, and I LOVED that as well. it's the story of the Knights of Fury's President Temper, who has one but he also has extreme amounts of patience as well, making him complicated (not in a bad way though). He meets Abbie, working at her family's bar, and has been asking her out for a very long time, and she's been saying no for a very long time. They have chemistry in spades which took a minute to explode into flames, but when they did, OH BOY! She finally says yes, and things happen which ends with her kidnapped, and back at his club. All of that leads to an amazing journey for Abbie, who has put her whole life on hold for her mother, and Temper, who wants her as his. There are even an f-bomb worthy twist or two to round this amazing story out perfectly! So, hit those one click buttons to find out for yourselves, as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

I haven't read a ton of motorcycle club romances, but it is a genre that I enjoy, especially when the stories are like this one. We follow Abbie who feels like she's stuck due to her circumstances, and Temper who has been asking Abbie to go on a date with him for the last five years. She's always said no, until this year - and things get a little crazy.

This was such a fun read! The interactions between Abbie and Temper were so enjoyable and seeing her start to open up and really find her place was great. There were definitely a few twists that kept me on my toes, but it was a wonderful story.

The third installment of the Knights of Fury MC, and I will suggest reading Saint and Renegade before Temper; just so you are up to speed on everything that has taken place and know who certain people are. IMO this is NOT a standalone as we go back to deal with characters from book one. For the past five years, Temper has made a run that took him to Franks, a bar that Abbie's family runs. For five years he has asked her out once a trip and each time has been turned down. This year he wasn't even going to bother, until Abbie mentions him asking. Taking that chance is the best thing he did, Abbie agrees and gets a date she will never forget, the ending of that date.. that is something she will definitely never forget as it's what gets her in trouble. Temper is asking her to trust him; should she after what he has done?

Well, this certainly threw us into some drama, danger, violence, some spicy hot moments; super entertaining and never a dull moment. I am ready to see what comes next; I give this 4.5 stars.

Temper has spent years asking Abbie out, but every time she said no and there's only so many times a man can hear no before he gives up. Abbie has given up school, and any chance of the future she wanted after her mum became ill and when it seems like he's finally given up asking, Abbie thought maybe this is her one chance at adventure and living a little, so after 5 years of saying no Abbie finally says yes to going out on a date with Temper. Well, that date sure went a different way than any of them planned! Whisked away, can Abbie forgive Temper for what happened and will he ever get a second chance at earning her love and trust?

This was a really good read. It had plenty going on with some drama, action and of course the steamy bits and the story didn't stop, always something going on. I give Temper 5 stars.

Disclaimer: I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you to Harlequin Trade Publishing, Netgalley, and Carina Press for this free copy. All quotes in this review are taken from the Advanced Reader Copy and may change in final publication.

Again, I have to say that I’m not a big expert on romance novels, not even contemporary romance novels, so most of what I would have to say really just comes from my own thoughts.

Now, onto the actual review. This is the third book in a series and while I didn’t have the opportunity to read the first two novels, I really enjoyed this one. We have the story of Abbie and Temper, two people from seemingly opposite sides of the world, somehow coming together to find love. It’s one of those loves where each person comes from the other side of the train tracks, if you can understand that analogy – I find it a little weird to say sometimes but it makes sense to me – and learning about each other’s world from their perspective.

Obviously in this novel, we have been following Abbie and Temper’s romance for a while now, so while we don’t get to see the beginnings of their relationship – or at least what their relationship is right now – , it’s okay. It’s nice seeing couples interact more after a while to see how it’s progressing, what kind of behaviors they either like or don’t like about the other person after being with them for a longer period of time, stuff like that. This one was also interesting because of the large age gap between Abbie and Temper. Okay, 28 and 42 isn’t “that large” of an age gap I guess, but it could be for some people. It’s significant enough that if Abbie was any younger, it would be considered statutory rape. But that isn’t the case here and I hope I didn’t upset anyone with that comment.

We see that Temper has been trying to ask Abbie out on a date for the the past five years that they’ve been interacting with one another, but she keeps saying no. Personally I would totally agree with her because it’s not like Temper stays in one place too long. But lo and behold, Abbie finally gives him the opportunity to take her out on a date, and that’s where the fun begins. I think this story was really sweet, and while maybe the first date wasn’t what Temper explicitly planned it out to be, the time that they spent together afterwards was heartwarming and enjoyable to read.

I don't really know where to start with this one on what our thoughts are other than saying that although we didn't hate it we didn't love it either.

For us as a whole we really enjoyed the characters with their camaraderie and their love and loyalty to one another and we loved that most of them had really great personalities that made them engaging because characters like Skylar were a hoot.

I liked Temper and Abbie but, here again didn't love them.I loved the fact that we saw a different side of Temper when he was with Abbie and we loved how easily Abbie fit right into the club and won over the men and women of the club so easily as they had her back and she theirs.

For me Temper and Abbie lacked chemistry and passion and this story lacked a whole lot of heat.I have no problem with a slow burning romance but, you couldn't even call this that because their so called love affair was just getting started and boom their already in love.Temper and Abbie made a cute couple and we loved seeing Abbie's personal growth with being in a different environment and even making new friends and even with Temper's influence but, there was no burn between this couple at least for me and where was all Temper's so called alpha-ness ? hummmm

"I didn't feel it or see it !"

Overall this story was slow and boring and a bit confusing or you could so had "no rhyme or reason with certain parts of the story" because the story started out one way and that is how this couple ended up together with a situation gone a rhy.At one point its unclear of who has a beef with the club is it another MC or someone else?As the story progresses the story goes in a whole other direction for a bit but, is still connected to the original plot in some way but ,with a whole lot of surprises turning up in the mix but, I am left with a bunch of unanswered questions and a bunch of why's ?

Certain things just didn't make sense....

This story is part of a ongoing plot of vengeance or payback or what ever you want to call it that spills over into this book and for someone like me just coming in their is certain previous background which is important to the mindset of certain characters in this book so my suggestion for other readers is to read the series in order first.

If Chantal Fernando isn't on your auto-buy list yet, she should be. I have yet to read a book by her that is not thoroughly enjoyable, and in fact, not a single book of hers has been given 4 stars in my book. Every single one has been a solid 5 stars. What I love most about her depiction of the MC world is that she makes it realistic and doesn't overdo it. Other books in this genre always seem to lend towards the sex and not enough towards the relationship. While the world is very sexualized and obviously has women followers all over the "bad boys" within the group, there is a need for some heart to be added to the mix, and Chantal does just that. The heroes are Alpha, but they are also soft when they need to be. Their women make them that way, and it's a good thing.

Temper has been asking out Abbie out every year for the last five years, each time he visits her family's bar on his way to the Nevada chapter of the Knights of Fury MC. And each year she politely turns him down. She has very little relationship experience, not to mention that Temper is quite a bit older than her, and he's part of a motorcycle gang. Doesn't seem like a good mix. But after realizing she doesn't have much of a life and really wants one, she says yes. Which leads to a seriously romantic, toe-curling date, followed by a body in the street and Abbie tied up in the back of a car. They say it's to keep her safe, but Abbie doesn't truly know Temper. He could be her saving grace...or he could be the devil in disguise.

Obviously, with a cover like that, you know Temper is hot. But my God, after reading about him, I am starting to rethink the age limit on my dating apps. Abbie is 28 and Temper is 42. Not a small age gap, but it's not so overly large as to be too crazy. However, it's super intimidating to Abbie, given that she's only ever had one partner before, and very little dating since then. Temper seems to be way out of her league. Thankfully, while Temper is the President of the MC and therefore someone who attracts lots of women, he's only had his eyes on one woman in recent years - Abbie. They are absolutely adorable together. And I freaking LOVE Abbie. She didn't let Temper forget when she was mad at him, and she made sure he knew that she wouldn't forgive so easily. I hate when heroines let the heroes off too easy, and Abbie gave him just the right set-down without being annoying. Temper took it like a man, groveled a bit, and then eventually they became one of the sexiest dang couples I have read in a long while. But what can I expect from a Chantal Fernando book? Every man she writes about is my next book boyfriend. Every one.

As always, can't wait to read what she writes next. Can she top this one? I don't know if it's possible.

He came to her bar and asked her out twice a year for five years, she finally said yes and all hell broke loose. I’ve had my eye on Chantal Fernando’s books for a while and finally took the plunge. It was a good time and I will definitely want more.

Temper is the third in the Knights of Fury series. It read easily as my first book, but it did have a series arc plot that seemed to culminate in this story and the previous couples were strong players in this one. I would definitely recommend starting with Saint and then Renegade first.

Abbie’s been working her family bar out on the desert in a small town between Vegas and LA since she was old enough to help out. Her biggest goal was to finish college and get out of town to see the world, but her mom’s stroke got her off track for her dream and she’ll probably be keeping bar forever. The only bright spot is the sexy tatted biker who has been stopping into the bar a couple times a year for the last five years. Each time Temper asks her out, she says no and they go on to catch up on their lives.

Except this time, Abbie doesn’t want to say no and wants to let her hair down for a little while before getting back to family duty. A date with the much older Temper where he gets creative and gives her the best night of her life and she can relish the sizzle of attraction between them before he heads back on the road.

Only, it doesn’t end with that scorching kiss, but gunfire and Abbie’s staid life is upended. She gets an unwanted glimpse into the darker world of the man who stars in her dreams. She wanted to get out of town and see the world. She wanted to play with fire and is she now about to get burned? Someone’s after the Knights of Fury and Abbie is caught in the crossfire. Secrets come to light and things heat up with Temper. Dare she take the risk?

I enjoyed this first person narrative told by Abbie, the slightly naive, but level-headed woman who grew up small town and never got the chance to leave. She had a sweet nature, but there was also steel in her spine so that she might be all new to the MC world, but she’s no pushover. This is a biker romance and there are a bunch of alpha guys, but Abbie doesn’t get lost in the shuffle and gets the chance to get in on the action.

I loved the way she and Temper had been building a friendship over those years she put him off and they felt ready when they finally got their opportunity. He made a mistake, but owned it and he was so patient and good with Abbie. The age gap was mentioned and considered, but not dwelt on. I was glad because there was plenty of other conflict to keep the book lively and moving.

There was a nice suspense element with who was coming after the club and attacking them which brought some good action and excitement especially with the big climax scene.

This is a biker romance, but it wasn’t dark or gritty. There is a sweetness in the friendships especially among the gals and there is a heartwarming feel of family among the club members. The romance had some spice, but it was also very sweet the way Temper courted her. He was commanding without being a jerk and Abbie had good spirit, but wasn’t stubborn at the wrong times. Great couple!

All around this was an engaging book and I want to go back for the two previous ones while eagerly awaiting the rest of the series. I think this series would make a good starting point for those who want to try out biker romances and is also a good match for those who prefer the more moderate biker element.

My thanks to Carina Press for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

Abbie Says Yes to Her Dreams

For five years, Temper, a biker, has come in to her family bar, Franks. Each year he asks her out and each year she says no. She put her dreams and college on hold to help her mother save the family business. Now she wants something different. What could go wrong having one date with Temper?

Abbie thinks it will be one date, but fate intervenes. She and Temper are having a lovely meal when she’s kidnapped. Temper saves her, but now she’s in LA at the biker’s headquarters, and Temper wants her to stay there to keep her safe. Although she didn’t relish being kidnapped, she finds she enjoys being away from her overbearing mother, and her feelings for Temper continue to grow.

This is an enjoyable romance. Abbie is a great character. She hasn’t had a chance to lead her own life, but now she’s ready, and Temper is the perfect partner. He’s a strong man who wants her and wants to protect her. The question is what secrets are holding them apart and can they make it work?

This is the third book in the Knights of Fury series. While you can get some additional information about the characters from the first two books, this works well as a standalone. If you enjoy romance, strong men, and a plot with twists, you’ll enjoy this book.

I received this book from Harlequin for this review.

3.75 stars— TEMPER is the third instalment in Chantal Fernandos contemporary, adult KNIGHTS OF FURY erotic, MC romance series focusing on the members of the Knights of Fury MC. This is forty-two year old, Knights of Fury President Tommy aka Temper, and twenty-eight year old bar waitress Abbie’s story line. TEMPER can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from first person perspective (Abbie) TEMPER follows the building relationship between forty-two year old, Knights of Fury President Tommy aka Temper, and twenty eight year old bar waitress Abbie. For close to five years, every time his MC passed through Vegas on their way to California, Temper has returned to Abbie’s bar, in the hopes of convincing our heroine to go out on a date but when Abbie finally agrees to go out with Temper, nothing goes according to plan and Abbie finds herself a temporary prisoner of the Knights of Fury MC. An attack against the MC, and the resulting death of a rogue for hire, finds Abbie under the protection of the Knights of Fury, a protection that is also meant to determine if and when she is able to go home. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Abbie and Temper, and the potential fall-out as a familiar enemy begins to orchestrate a take-down of the Knights of Fury MC.

All of her life Abbie has been warned, by her mother, to stay away from the bikers and their dangerous lifestyles but little did Abbie know that her world was about to spiral out of control when secrets and lies begin to reveal. Temper doesn’t do relationships but something about Abbie calls to Temper’s heart. For five years Temper has bided his time in an effort to convince Abbie that he is a worthy mate but things go from bad to worse as their time together results in a target on Abbie’s back.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful secondary and supporting characters including Saint and Skylar, Temper, Trade, Dee, Chains and Crow, as well as the introduction of drug kingpin Grayson Palmer, Abbie’s sister Ivy, their mother, and the return of Skylar’s mother Georgia.

TEMPER is a story of family, friendships, secrets and lies; of betrayal and revenge; of revelations and truth. The premise is engaging and captivating; the romance is passionate and intense; the characters are numerous, charismatic and seductive . I will add that I wish the story line was told in dual perspectives as we are completely oblivious to the behind the scenes of the Knights of Fury MC-their numerous jobs, meetings and frequent trips to gather intel and meet with other MCs. In this, I felt there could have been so much more potential to the story line and thusly the series as a whole.
