Temper is the third book in Chantal Fernando's Knights of Fury series and brings us to the now President of the MC, Temper. For years he's flirted with Abbie every time he's at her mother's bar, and he asks her out over and over again. She always turns him down, not wanting to take a chance with a biker. But now her life is in need of some excitement after dropping out of college to take care of her mother and running the bar on her own, so she says yes. What starts out as a fantastic date though quickly turns into a murder scene, her own kidnapping, and being thrust into a world she doesn't know how to navigate.

I seriously loved Temper from the very beginning of this book. He was so charming I couldn't help but smile and he planned the perfect date. It wasn't something you would expect from some badass biker and that just made it all the more amazing. I really liked seeing him with Abbie and how cute they were together. And she honestly surprised me as a character. She didn't let the fact that she was thrown into the MC life so fast and drastically kill her spirit and she could still be super feisty at times, which I loved. She and Temper were just great together and they had me captivated from start to finish.

Temper is definitely a recommended read for all MC lovers, but if you haven't read this author before I recommend any of her books. Chantal Fernando is one of my favorite MC authors and with every book I read from her I just fall more and more in love with her writing.

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.

This is my first Chantal Fernando book and I honestly don't know if I will read any of her other work after finishing this one. The beginning of the book was super sweet and drew me in, and then shortly lost me. I lost my connection with the main character, and since this was a single POV book, I couldn't even attempt at making a connection with Temper, which is the name of the book. Once I realized it was single POV, I felt like I was missing half of the story. I am not a huge fan of single point of views as is, so this just fell flat for me.

I have loved plenty of MC books in the past, but this one just didn't hit the mark for me at all. I know it's the third book in the series, but I highly doubt I will be going back to read the first two in the series. I just didn't connect with the book, the characters, the storyline or any of it. I felt like it was rushed and there were parts that just didn't make any sense to me.

I did finish because I don't like not finishing books, but I won't be going in and finding any more of this author's work.

Three stars.

Temper by Chantal Fernando is the third novel in the Knights of Fury series; however, I believe it can be safely read as a standalone. The couples from the previous books feature heavily in this installment, so reading those would be helpful. I decided to accept this book for review purposes because I found the synopsis intriguing. I didn’t know what to expect seeing that the author was new to me, but it turned out to be entertaining.

Twice per year for the past five years, Temper would visit the bar where Abbie works and ask her out. However, each time she says no. Finally, in the fifth year she accepted his offer. The date turned out better than she expected, but near to the end danger came knocking and Abbie’s world would turn upside down.

Temper is the president of Knights of Fury motorcycle club. He gained the nickname Temper due to his tendency to fly of the handle. His members we would see a different side to him and they had Abbie to thank for it. She brought out his softer side, which amazed everyone.

Abbie is sweet tempered and almost everyone loved her. One could understand Temper’s attraction towards her. I admired how adapted even though the circumstances were less than ideal. She was the epitome of the quote, ‘when life gives you lemons you make lemonade’. Despite her sweetness, she proved to be fierce when it came to protecting those she loved.

This being a biker romance, one would expect a dark and gritty story. Instead, the author treated readers to a sweet and heart-warming story. I appreciated the camaraderie between the members of the club and it was a joy to watch the way they embraced Abbie into their fold.

The romance though sweet had a hint of spiciness to it. I loved watching Abbie and Temper grow as a couple.

The suspense arc amped up the excitement. The events surrounding this aspect of the story led to some interesting revelations.

Conclusion/Recommendation
Temper delivered a sweet, heart-warming romance with some suspenseful moments and a few twists and turns that would keep readers engaged.

This book had so many twist and turns, it definitely kept me on my toes. Temper was so sweet and lovable, Abbie was just as lovable. These two were perfect for one another, but with all that happens will they come out together or apart? Loved this book and can't wait for the next one.

Temper is book three in the Knights of Fury series by Chantal Fernando. This is my very first book by Chantal. This is a MC, age gap romance. It can easily be read as a stand alone even though it’s part of a series. I have not read any of the previous books and had no difficulty at all. I first noticed the cover of this book which made me take a second look. But what really drew me in was the blurb. I was definitely intrigued and am so glad I decided to take a chance on this.

Abigail (Abbie) Redmond is twenty eight years old, lives with her mom and younger sister, and works at their family owned bar, Franks. Abbie had to drop out of college and put her own dreams on hold due to her mother’s health issues.

Abbie first met the swoony biker five years ago the first time he came into her bar. Over the years, he shows up a couple of times a year, stays for a drink, and always asks her out. She always says no. It’s obvious he’s older than her but more than that, going out with a biker is definitely not a good idea. That’s what her mother keeps telling her anyway. But this time when he comes in, she wants to say yes. She’s tired of being cautious. She’s attracted to him and he to her. It’s one night, one date. What could go wrong?!

Temper is forty two years old and is president of the Knights of Fury MC just outside of Los Angeles. He’s been trying to convince Abbie to go out with him for five years. Tonight is finally his big chance. So he plans the perfect date. Only things don’t quite end the way he might have hoped. They end with Abbie thrown into the back seat of the car and racing back to LA to his home.

“Being fearful of life is only barely living, and sometimes the gamble is worth it.”

The reason for going to LA might have been unpleasant, but once she’s there, away from her stifling, overbearing mom, Abbie starts to gain confidence. She was like a bird spreading her wings and learning to fly. That spark that had been between she and Temper from the first time they met, grew into so much more. Temper, the feared president of a MC club was a caring, sweet, attentive man to her. He was everything she could have wanted.

“Taking a chance on Temper is the best thing I ever did.”

Not only does their feelings grow for each other, Abbie feels like she fits in here, she makes friends, she feels needed, she feels stronger. But Abbie and Temper and the rest of the club are in for a few surprises. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with all the little twists and turns this took. I might have even “gasped” a time or two!

This was such an enjoyable read. I do enjoy MC romance but haven’t read all that many. Some of the ones I have read, though, are dark. This wasn’t. I loved seeing Temper’s soft side, and Abbie was the perfect match for him. This was sweet, sexy, and a bit suspenseful. I’m so glad I decided to read this.

I really liked this book! I have to say after reading the previous two books in the series I have been looking forward to Temper and Abbie’s story. I was sucked in from the very beginning and didn’t want to put the book down. This book does bring closure from things that happened in the last two books. If you are looking for a real gritty MC series this isn’t the one for you. As far as MCs go this one is pretty mild. I didn’t mind it though. I am hoping that the series will continue on as there are plenty of other characters that I’d love to read about! Overall though I would recommend this book to others!

Temper is book three in the Knights of Fury series. I really liked it. I loved Temper and Abbie. They had great chemistry and were just perfect for each other!

As far as MC romance goes, this is probably the tamest one I've ever read, which completely caught me off-guard. Temper was my first read by Chantal and it turned out to be an OK read for me.

I really liked the backstory behind Abbie and Temper, the fact that he asked her out and got rejected for years. It was definitely a unique to start to their budding relationship.

When it comes to the prez of the Knights of Fury MC, he was not what I expected at all. I oddly found him to be rather adorable, which is not a word I'd associate with a MC romance. So that was very different to read about.

Throughout my read, I often found myself coming out of the story and was beginning to skip around a little bit. And I wasn't completely sold on Abbie's character, I wasn't really connecting with her at all. Before Temper, she had a very routine life and wasn't one to take any bold actions. I'm definitely all for character growth, but it was a much quicker transition, so it made a bit unbelievable for me.

I haven't read the first two in the series, but I want to give those a try and see how this one compares. As a romance, it's not too bad of a read. But if you're looking for that grit that you see a lot in a MC romance, this isn't that kind of read.

***4 Stars***

This was a fun read. Which is a little strange to write down considering this is an MC romance, but it really was. I found myself grinning more often than not and being more than happy to get lost in Abbie and Temper’s unique journey to their HEA.

I loved Abbie and Temper. Abbie is all kinds of sweet and sassy, even when she’s feeling all kinds of awkward. I loved watching her truly come into her own and really take charge of what she wanted her future to look like. Temper surprised me, but in a good way. He is all kinds of alpha, he has to be as Prez, but I loved getting to know the heart of the man beneath the title and seeing just how golden his heart was.

Their journey to their HEA was all kinds of fun. It is a strange mix of slow burn/insta, no gonna lie, but it worked for me considering all that was tossed their way in a short amount of time. but I loved their bantering and didn’t play any mind games with each other. The angst was low, which I appreciated considering all that was going on around them, and I really liked how everything worked out for them in the end.

This was a fun read, on the lighter side of the spectrum than the majority of the MC romances I tend to read, but it had enough grit to keep things interesting. And speaking of interesting...talk about holy plot twist Batman! I did NOT see that one coming at all, but it definitely kicked things up a notch. And as for the supporting cast of characters. I loved catching up with Saint and Skyler, I some how missed Renegade’s book, but will be diving in as soon as possible, but loved Renny and Izzy. But the two that peaked my interest the most were Crow and Chains and I’m crossing my toes they get their own HEA’s down the road.

TEMPER by Chantal Fernando is book Three in the Knights of Fury Series. This is the story of Temper and Abbie. I have read (and loved!) the other books in this series, so that did help me enjoy this one better. But I did feel you could make it a standalone book if you wish to do so. Temper is the President of the Knights of Fury MC who is strong, tough and yet caring. So when his crew started stopping in Frank's a bar in Nevada once or twice a year, the bartender catches his eye. But each time he makes his way to the bar she turns him down. Abbie is the bartender in her family bar and taking over more responsibility each year. Abbie dropped her wish to go to law school to help her mother who had bad health and to help prevent her little sister from not realize her college dream. So after a few years of being asked out by Temper she gives in to her desire. It started out as a prefect date but then danger struck and she had to be protected....all of which Temper insisted on. I really enjoyed this book and this author's writing. I hope to read more from her soon!

Temper and Abbie have a cute backstory that drew me in immediately. He is a biker passing through town once or twice a year. She is a bartender in her family's bar. Each time Temper passes through, he asks Abbie out and she says no. Until 5 years go by and she finally says yes. Its adorable! The date is very swoon worthy, but the ending changes Abbie's life forever.

Abbie is a great heroine. She had to put her dreams of law school on hold after her mom has a stroke. She stepped up, took over the bar, and ensured her younger sister didn't have to miss out on college. She is a giver, for sure. Temper is the president of the MC and he has great heart that Abbie gets to see over the years. He cried for the last prez, he remembers events in Abbie's life, and he isn't a manwhore. Overall, both are great characters.

I felt like Abbie was a little "too" ok with Temper's actions at times. I mean, he kidnapped her-tied her up and everything. But, aside from that, I enjoyed the story! There is plenty of danger and action to keep the plot moving, and lots of romance between Abbie and Temper!

I totally dove into something new with this book → I have never read a Motorcycle Club book 🤯, didn’t know I was starting with book three, AND this is also my first book by Chantal Fernando. A lot of firsts here :) It was a whole new world to explore.

Temper is our male protagonist and he is the current president of the Knights of Fury MC. I would say the name suits him because his family was well acquainted with his temper when things did not go his way. Our female protagonist is Abbie. She works at her family dive bar in Nevada called Frank’s. She had gradually taken on more responsibility at the bar, putting off her own needs and education to keep her family afloat. The first time Temper met Abbie, he asked her out and she turned him down. She continued to turn him down every time they came through town until one night, she finally agreed. The date was soooooo romantic and perfect. Abbie was kind of rethinking all the scary things she had heard about the Knights of Fury. Until a thing happens, and the suspense goes off the charts. Suffice it to say that Abbie was now unwillingly under the club’s protection. One can only be mad for so long with the chemistry that was brewing between Temper and Abbie. She has a choice to embrace her new life or go back to what she had.

This really is a fun story. Lots of action, suspense, some plot twists and a whole lot of sexy. I don’t think you will be able to put the book down until you finish the story. I love how the others portrayed Temper and his grumpy attitude before Abbie came into his life. I also love how Abbie becomes more of a risk-taker in her own life and starts living what she has really been wanting. The sense of family really grabs you in this story. I mean, isn’t that something we all want?

The dialogue flows between all the characters. The setting has a lot of details and brings you into the story. As I was reading this, I thought that Chantal Fernando has a writing style like Rhenna Morgan (so if you are a fan of either, you will like all the books). Both their characters walk the gray line when it comes to the law, but they do right by the people they are loyal to. There is a lot of bad in the world and sometimes you have to make tough choices. Definitely character traits of strong, sexy men. I will be picking up books 1 and 2 of this series. It was so good and now I think I am hooked on MC romance books.

Despite his name, temper is quite sweet. I have read the first book in this series, but I honestly can't remember if he showed more signs of the reason for his name in that or not. Either way, even though he shows flashes of the reason behind his name there's usually a good reason for his anger. When it comes to Abbie, then although he can be a little overprotective, it's clear right from the first time that we see them together, he's got some deep feelings for her.

Abbie has been waiting for her life to start, or perhaps more accurately, she's letting it pass her by and is settling for what she thinks is her lot in life. When she finally decides to take a chance on Temper and throw caution to the wind, then everything changes for her.

I don't really like the way that Temper takes control after their first date. I'm not sure that dragging a woman off against her will can ever really be justified, but perhaps that's part of Temper learning how to be part of this relationship. It isn't too long before he manages to give her back some control and work towards a partnership.

I liked the relationship between Abbie and Temper, particularly once past that first awkward taking her away from home. I also enjoyed the way that they became a team and Abbie was able to give at least as good as she got. This was a very enjoyable read and I'm sure that I'll be checking out more from the Knights of Fury in the future.

I really liked Temper and Abbie, they had an insane start but there was definitely a strong chemistry between the 2 of them.

I really liked how Abbie really brought a sense of calm to Temper and he did the opposite to her life but in a good way. They evened each other out and were adorable in a bada** kind of way.

I'm excited to see who's story we will get next out of the Knights.

I received a copy of this book from Carina Press through NetGalley. all thoughts and opinions are my own

This was my first book by Chantal Fernando.

Temper is book 3 in her Knights of Fury MC series but can be read as a standalone. I didn't read any of the previous books and didn't feel I needed to read them to enjoy this one. I will be going to go back and read them though.

Temper was so cool. Like, he is a tough MC prez but is tender and gentle and kind when need be. Kind of like a cuddly teddy bear. Dangerous but soft.

I really enjoyed the action and suspense in the story. It kept me turning the pages to find out what happens next.

I enjoyed it and will be recommending to MC lovers.

Waiting Out On Love

Temper was the Prez of the Knights of Fury MC and would pass through Nevada ever so often stopping at Frank's where the beautiful girl with amazing eyes always waited on him. Every time Temper would ask the beauty out on a date, she would say no. Until the one year he didn't. That's when Abbie asks Temper out much to his surprise. Let's just say that their date didn't go as planned because she in a gunfight and was then kidnapped by the biker and his men. He had to take her back to their clubhouse in LA for the club's protection and her's.

Someone was after the Knights and Abbie as well but who could it be. Someone hired mercenaries to take them out and they had to get to the bottom of this before they were decimated. Oh, there were so many secrets that surrounded them but one thing wasn't a secret and that was the chemistry between Temper and Abbie.

This book read fast and kept the action and that rollercoaster ride feeling coming from the first page until that last. I highly recommend this book for all you MC lovers out there!!

Temper was a great surprise. In full disclosure, I haven’t read the first two books in the series, but definitely plan on doing so now. This book can absolutely be read as a standalone and I even devoured it in one sitting.

Abbie is a bartender and every year Temper comes to her and asks her out. She refuses every single time until one day, she decides that she wants to live a little. Well, her wish is granted. Temper takes her out and right there, the chemistry is already off the chart. After their first date, a quick stop will forever change her life.

This book is quite the ride. From the moment the date ends to the very end, this story kept me on the edge on my seat. High stake actions, near death experiences, unexpected plot twists, this book is written to make sure that you don’t put this book down. Pepper all this with some sexy scenes, and you have me.

Now, there is one thing I would say: Temper is not the typical Alpha Male. I tend to picture them as commanding, dangerous, arrogant, and sometimes brooding. In this story, Temper does have a leading role, but he deeply cares about Abbie. He always tries to do the right thing so to me he is more of a knight with a caveman tendency if that makes sense. I truly love his character. He is compassionate, loyal with a strong sense of family.

Abbie and her mother have an unhealthy relationship, so the misadventures are truly a blessing in disguise for her. I very much enjoyed her character arc. I truly enjoyed Abbie’s witty and loyal personality.

Again, I haven’t read the two other books, but this did not have a negative impact on my reading. I loved this book and highly recommend it.

Temper is the third book in the Knights of Fury MC series, but the first one I have read. It held up fairly well as a stand alone book. There was one part of the story that I think I would have benefited from reading other books in the series, but for the most part I was fine. I did enjoy this one. I am a fan of MC romances, but not the dark ones. This one wasn't really dark. I loved Abbie and Temper together. It was in interesting dynamic. While their HEA seemed quick on the surface, it really wasn't. Temper had been visiting Abbie's bar a couple of times a year over five years asking her out only to be shot down each time. So, in a way, they have "known" each other for a while. I enjoyed Abbie's growth over the course of the book.

The book had great characters and a some laugh out loud moments. I loved the friends that Abbie made at the MC. I also loved how the brothers in the MC rallied around her. There is a little mystery of who is targeting the MC. There were a few surprises, although I will admit one of them was a bit over the top. I highly recommend this one. I now want to go back and read the first two books, Saint and Renegade.

Temper by Chantal Fernando
Knights of Fury #3

Looking for a tame biker romance without explicit violence? This book might be for you. It is NOT your typical biker romance but a rather sweet story of an ongoing annual request for a date when Temper rolls through town and that request has always been turned down by abbie...until...one day Temper comes into Abbie’s bar and says he might not ask her out this year, she decides that would NOT be good thing at all and so they do go out on their first date...finally.

The date is splendid till it is not and then her life changes dramatically. Given a chance to leave her town, state, controlling mother and a life that was not the one she chose she spreads her wings, meets new people. Does the tourist thing and gets to know Temper better.

Of course there is a bad guy to thwart, some surprises, twists and turns with the expected HEA.

What I liked:
* Temper: rugged, mature, commanding but with a tender heart
* Abbie: a woman who needs change and is willing to take a chance with Temper
* The Knights of Fury and their women
* Learning the back stories of both main characters
* The thwarting of the bad guy
* That there is a HEA for the two
* The potential for more stories in the series

What I didn’t like:
* The overly tame nature of this not so gritty MC romance
* The way Abbie moved from mouse to wannabe Wonder Woman
* Abbie’s mother

Did I like this book? Yes, as a romance
Did I like this book as an MC Romance? Not as much as others I have read
Would I read more in this series? Maybe

Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin-Carina for the ARC – This is my honest review.

Abbie and Temper (Tommy).

I always like Chantal Fernando MC stories. Sure I always reference them as MC lite but they fit the bill when I'm craving the MC world. We have previously met Temper in the other books in this series. I also like that Temper is a bit of a softy and that he's older. He balances Abby well. Their first date gets Abby thrown into the MC world. A date that is 5 years in the making as Temper has patiently asked out Abby for 5 years. And she finally gave in.

Even though she gets thrown into the MC world she's also becoming free from her life which she was a bit chained to for other reasons.

Georgia is still around and causing complete havoc. I can't believe how much of a cow she is.

Here are few things that caused me to question or roll my eyes at:

"Just remember, you have people here who love you and don't want anything to happen to you."
"Are those people people you?" (Insert eye roll. He already told her so why she's questioning it?)

I was confused about the part when Abby asks. "Am I on Georgia's radar?" I'm not sure if that was Abby's naivety or a missed detail. Since they had already tried to get her twice so of course she was on Georgia's radar.

In the end, I like the suspense and sure some parts were predictable but there were also some parts that were a total shock.

When I'm craving a MC world Chantal Is one I will seek out. Can't wait for more from this series.
