Once again, as soon as I started this book, I fell right into it and read late into the night. I love how Sheila writes her characters in a way that you feel like they could be your friend or neighbor. It’s was nice to see how a woman who once viewed herself as a victim was able to move on, rebuild her life and find a way to say no when confronted with her past. Looking forward to reading more stories that take place in Moonlight Bay.

Beachside beginnings is an intriguing story about women and how they cope with abuse and decide to brave the world. They better themselves and are happier for it. You'll love how they help each other and, learn to trust and maybe love again.

Loved it! I have totally enjoyed each one of the books within this series. “A Moonlight Harbor Novel” series hasn’t let me down once! This one, was a break away novel from the previous ones, where we mainly interacted with Jenna and her family in the majority of the tales. This story introduces us to a new addition to the team, Moira. Front the get.....I was hooked! Sheila knows how to provide her audience with captivating storylines, warm and friendly environments, I kid you not, I can visualize the entire story as if I were watching a movie.

Loved it, recommend it and actually all of her books within this series won’t disappoint. But this one, coming to you April 21st is a MUST have, especially in our current state of affairs. We need happy, uplifting stories to refocus onto something different. A good book is an escape and that is what we all need now and again.

Thanks Sheila and mirabooks! Loved it......

Moira leaves town quickly and secretively as she is leaving her abusive boyfriend. She didn't leave all the times she beat her up, but he kicked her cat and that was the last straw. Her current boss at the hair salon knew of someone on the other side of the state that would hire her and take her in. Boy was he right.! Although Moira kept a low profile, her work in coloring hair was so outstanding that a newspaper article was written and suddenly you know who is at the door. A fun book.

This is the first book I’ve read by Sheila Roberts. I honestly haven’t heard much about her, but I randomly wanted to give this book a shot because I liked the cover and sound of the book. However, I will say that this book wasn’t really what I expected.

This is a Women’s Fiction novel and although I have read quite a few different ones over the years, this one seemed a little lackluster for lack of a better word. I was kind of turned off by Moira’s ex in the beginning. I think he’s meant to be nasty but since the beginning, I just found myself not really into the book as much as I would like to be. The concept seemed very promising though, which was why I was so excited, but instead of feeling inspired by the story, I just felt like a lot of it was sad to me.

Needless to say, I was rooting for Moira. Her courage was nice to read about, but I think I would’ve connected with her more if more of her personality was shown. When I finished this book, all I thought of her was that she was nice. I would have liked a better reaction, so I’m not sure if I will continue with the rest of the series. But if you prefer more calm, emotional reads, then this might be a better fit for you than it was for me.

Five years after a loss, people have forgotten, they got used to the loss. Well, not one person.

Everyone deserves a second chance.

Moonlight Harbor is good medicine for wounded souls.

Driftwood Inn is a safe place for lost souls.

Meet new friends.
One needs to learn to let go of past burdens, hurt and learn to look to future and be hopeful.
Sometimes you have to hit restart in life.

I enjoyed meeting new friends and reuniting with my Moonlight Harbor friends.

this was a great read/book. Sheila really came thru on this one. Starting over in a town where everyone becomes your friend...I want to live there too. Helping others ended up helping herself become the strong woman she needed to find

Overall, I enjoyed Beachside Beginnings. The characters were likable, though a little immature in my opinion, which was a little annoying. The plot revolves around a young woman leaving an abusive relationship and starting over in Moonlight Harbor where she creates a new life. It is a story of friendship, starting over, self worth, love, healing, and freedom. What I did really like about this book was the different generations of women that Moira becomes friends with and that each help her in their own way with her healing and new life. I think that friendships like these are special and rewarding on some many levels. I'd recommend this book to others looking for a good read on the lighter side... this would make a great beach or vacation read!

This story has a wonderful setting in a quaint little beach town in Washington. It's filled with some interesting characters that experience real emotions and some very difficult issues.

Moonlight Beach is a small community where residents look out for each other and envelop newcomers with welcoming arms. Moira moves to the beach in a desperate act to leave a horribly abusive relationship. She finds new friends, with some entanglements, a new job at a salon that could use a fresh infusion of change, and a new man. Periphery characters include Annie and Pearl. Roberts gives readers peeks of main characters like Jenna, Seth, and Brody, and still teases with that love triangle. Beachside Beginnings will make readers want to head to the beach for their own adventures.

I really liked this book and I loved how Ms Roberts was respectful with the topic of domestic violence - she didn't introduce Moira as a victim, but as someone who was growing and evolving as a character. Moira's internal dialogue helped me to relate to her more. I did think that Courtney's character sounds very overblown - I'm pretty sure I wouldn't hang out with her in real life, but I loved how she encouraged Annie to pursue her dreams.
