This is a pretty straight-forward retelling of the Beauty & The Beast story told in graphic novel format. It is geared toward beginning readers, with a guide in the front showing how to read a graphic novel and discussion prompts in the back to help little ones with reading comprehension. A good book to help with teach reading/reading comprehension.

I received a free e-ARC of this book from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for a honest review.

This graphic novel is a very simplistic version of Beauty and The Beast. Its only about 20 pages long, similar to those picture books you find at the mall but with beautiful ilustrations. The dialogue is very simple and the author does not take any creative liberties. Its a perfect book for little kids who are either starting to learn english or to enjoy graphic novels (maybe both).

As a reader i didn't enjoy it much, but as an english teacher i can see its potencial towards kids.

It was nice to see that at the beginning of the book there was directions on how you are supposed to read the illustrations. It was a quick read. A bit of a twist on the original Beauty and the Beast. This was enjoyable. Would be nice if there was little bit more to the story but all in all you got the understanding of what was going on and wasn't hard to follow along.

This was a very quick Obviously read. But it was cute and the illustration was really pretty. Just a little more story to it is at that it could use.

A quick-and-easy adaptation of the popular and beloved tale of Beauty and the Beast. The illustrations accompanying it were beautiful and matched the story perfectly. A good book for young children who are now starting to read small stories on their own.

A bit simplistic as a retelling of the Beauty and the Beast story. Extra points for its potential use as a reading and writing prompt in teaching younger audiences.

This is a wonderfully done retelling of a classic book! I loved the illustrations, and I also loved that they used an African American in the story as beauty!

This was an easy read fun little book. It was really quick but I liked the twist of the story from the original fairytale. I would recommend for younger kids.

This is a super cute graphic novel, aimed at young kids, telling the story of the Beauty and the Beast. Personally, I don't think it matters how old I get, this story will always have a place in my heart.

The illustrations were stunning, we had a diverse set of characters for such a short story, and it even had instructions in the back on how to make your own crepe roses! How cute is that?!

I have always loved Beauty and The Beast. It has been my favorite fairytale since I was a child and I still watch the Disney movie quite often.

Unfortunately, when it came to this version I was completely underwhelmed. It contains even less action than the original fairytale. I feel as if it was written based on the assumption that a person /child would already know the original story. And unfortunately, as it is written currently I found the story a bit anticlimactic and boring.

This book's saving grace is definitely the illustrations. They were fun and contained elements that children adore, while still being absolutely beautiful. And the art truly captured the feel of the fairytale while introducing diverse characters.
