365 Ways to Be Happy" by Adam Gordon offers a plethora of quick and simple tips to enhance happiness in everyday life. Each suggestion is concise and easy to implement, making it accessible for readers seeking daily inspiration. However, the book lacks depth and originality in its advice, often presenting common clichés rather than innovative strategies for achieving happiness. While some readers may find value in its straightforward approach, others may feel disappointed by the lack of depth and insight. Overall, "365 Ways to Be Happy" earns a three-star rating for its practicality but falls short in providing substantial guidance for long-lasting happiness.

Due to a sudden, unexpected passing in the family a few years ago and another more recently and my subsequent (mental) health issues stemming from that, I was unable to download this book in time to review it before it was archived as I did not visit this site for several years after the bereavements. This meant I didn't read or venture onto netgalley for years as not only did it remind me of that person as they shared my passion for reading, but I also struggled to maintain interest in anything due to overwhelming depression. I was therefore unable to download this title in time and so I couldn't give a review as it wasn't successfully acquired before it was archived. The second issue that has happened with some of my other books is that I had them downloaded to one particular device and said device is now defunct, so I have no access to those books anymore, sadly.

This means I can't leave an accurate reflection of my feelings towards the book as I am unable to read it now and so I am leaving a message of explanation instead. I am now back to reading and reviewing full time as once considerable time had passed I have found that books have been helping me significantly in terms of my mindset and mental health - this was after having no interest in anything for quite a number of years after the passings. Anything requested and approved will be read and a review written and posted to Amazon (where I am a Hall of Famer & Top Reviewer), Goodreads (where I have several thousand friends and the same amount who follow my reviews) and Waterstones (or Barnes & Noble if the publisher is American based). Thank you for the opportunity and apologies for the inconvenience.

365 Ways To Be Happy is a perfect representation of the book that is going to help people with their mental health every single day for a year. Each page is a helpful advice for the readers how to be happy thanks to the simple things in our lives that we most of the time don't pay much attention to.
I read this book in one or two days, which obviously isn't a right way to read this book since I think it would have a bigger impact if you read it once a day. It gives you the time to contemplate the thought and implement it in your life. I think it's also why I didn't enjoy this book as much as I should. However, I may say that it definitely contains of very helpful thoughts.

The book was mostly a compilation of quotes and short meditation exercises. Some of the ideas were interesting, but at times repetitive. It would have been nice if the sections transitioned or had built off each other.

I'm not really sure how to categorize this book; it's a mixture of 365 meditations, mindfulness, affirmations and quotes. Very lightweight - not much substance, although I did like several of the quotes.

If you're looking for a book that will make a difference in your life, I would advise you to keep looking, this isn't it. For those who think that's harsh, my response is I speak my truth - I'm not asking you to agree with it.

My thanks to NetGalley and Watkins Publishing for allowing me to read a copy of the book in exchange for an unbiased review. All opinions stated are my own.

This book was not quite what I expected. In other similar titles there are daily prompts or thoughts that get you reframing your mindset. This book is a bit all over the place. Sometimes with a 2 sentence quote and other times with paragraphs and paragraphs that seem to meander. I felt the book lacked focus and a strong voice. Others might find it helpful, but it wasn't for me.

The design of this little book is calming, and would be an excellent addition to anyone's morning meditation. While many of the entries seem overly simple, once reflected upon the complexity reveals itself to those who want to find the stillness inside them.

In reading 365 Ways To Be Happy, I was looking forward to discovering ways to be happy. I was disappointed as I read through each page as I was met with things to meditate on. Don't get me wrong if you are looking for a book on 365 Days of Contemplation. This is the much better title and the material it contains is a great meditation tool to add to any practice But it is not for someone looking to be "Happy".

This could have been a cute little book to keep you going throughout the year. However year page felt like it wasn't connected at all. I would have liked each page to play off the last.

this is not usually the type of book I read and was pleasantly surprised with it. Lots of good topics here.

A nice book, easy to get through. Mainly just some activities, quotes and things to consider. Divided into different topics with a few tips with the other items along with it.

If you're looking for some simple ideas or thought processes this may help as there are 365 of them, they don't seem to have any particular order. I found some of the thought processes interesting and have tried a few of them and they have been useful.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

This wasn't really what i was expecting this book to be.
This book is mainly quotes and short ideas/practices/tasks knitted within it. I personally didnt feel the book expanded enough on these areas and was a bit mismatched.

I would like to acknowledge up front that reactions to certain books are extremely subjective, and this review is the result of what I am looking for in a book like this. What you are looking for in a book like this may be entirely different, and I do recommend you look through it a bit to decide for yourself.

That being said, for me this book was lacking. When I pick up any book with “365 ways” in the title, I am looking for a daily task to complete that is meant as guidance and reflective of daily growth for a year. What I am not looking for is a series of affirmations with only occasional activities spaced out throughout. If it said “365 affirmations” then it would be okay. In the end, my disappointment stems most from the “365” which leads a consumer to think “Okay, it’s one a day for a year” and, while you can tell yourself to only do one a day, it really is misleading.

This is the sort of book you might find in a stationery story. Full of short reflections. This doesn’t really have much organization or dive into any particular self-help info.

This book opened my eyes a bit more to what I've been missing. It was really good, and the authors perspective on the subject really came through. I highly recommend!

This book is basically just random quotes, affirmations, and exercises, thrown together in different groups. But each excerpt is disconnected from the next. Everything is just listed in numerical order and continues ongoing. It feels more like something you'd find online. It doesn't seem formatted for a book at all. As well the text is super light which makes it almost impossible to read. Overall, this is just too jumbled for my liking.
