Thanks to NetGalley and Random House UK. This was quite and interesting book and easy to read. It was very scary in some parts as it is something that could happen in the present day.
Sorry for the late review.

This was a good solid read, that unfortunately hits close to what is happening all over the world now. It was an interesting read, for anyone who loves a good book.

A gripping, tense read. Really enjoyed it.. A good cast of characters and a very modern theme. Looking forward to more from the author.

This book was filled with terror and was terrifying in places because it was so believable.
The characters were great.
The premise was good and the ending was a huge twist.

A fast paced and addictive thriller in which, as the titled suggests, several people are stabbed on the morning commute in London. Seven people violently murdered in a series of co-ordinated attacked...and speculation leads the general consensus to believe it to be an attack by Islam extremists as the victims are discovered to be connected via their occupations as investigative journalists with the International Press Service (IPS).

One such journalist, Famie Madden, who knew all the victims personally and also works with the IPS undertakes the dangerous task of infiltrating the terrorist organisation responsible, thus leading her a dangerous and deadly mission. Dangerous, because the killings may have not yet ceased and deadly, because she could well be next! As the IPS headquarters goes into lockdown, the police are as yet uncertain if the building is secure.

And then Famie begins to receive mysterious messages...are they a warning of more attacks? Or are they a threat against her?

KNIFE EDGE is a high octane thriller that is fast paced from beginning to end though its subject matter is not something that interests me. I personally have heard enough about extremists, anti facists and terrorist groups on the news to read about them as well. Though I am sure this type of thriller will appeal to many it is not something that appeals to me. That isn't to say that it isn't a good solid read...just not one up my alley.

I would like to thank #SimonMayo, #NetGalley and #TransworldDigital for an ARC of #KnifeEdge in exchange for an honest review.

WoW...........What an excellent book Knife Edge by Simon Mayo was. I loved it and I was hooked from the beginning till the end. This was a book that surprised me and I really enjoyed it. The beginning of the book was terrifying and I just could not put it down. Hence don't plan your day as everything will be put on hold until you've finished it!

I highly recommend this book!

Big Thank you to Netgalley, and Random House for supplying a copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

What a brilliant example of crime thriller that focuses on terrorism and all its scariness!
I was sceptical when I saw the author as I find that I have high expectations for famous people who write books and thankfully I loved this! Clearly a lot of research has been done into this novel to make sure that things are accurate and believable.

Full of tension and suspense, this will be a series I read more of!

Unfortunately I didn't gel with this book. It was obviously well written but for a reason I'm unable to put my finger on, I didn't find myself wanting to pick the book back up after I had put it down. I don't think I cared about the characters. I'm sorry. I was looking forward to reading this. The hook interested me.

Great thriller that kept me engaged from start to finish. Fabulous plot and characters, and author I will definitely read more of!

I’ve never read a Simon Mayo book before but thought this one looked interesting and I usually enjoy thrillers.

The cover was eye catching with the orange parts standing out, making me want to pick it up and see what it was about.

The story started very well, the opening was dramatic and made you want to keep reading.

Seven people are killed in targeted knife attacks across London. Famie works for a news agency and is trying to keep on top of the news. She then realises the victims are connected, and tries to work out why they were targeted. She starts to receive coded messages, are they a personal threat or trying to tell her something?

There are quite a lot of characters in this book and I didn’t really relate to or like any of them. The main character, Famie, I found particularly irritating and interfering.
I found that most of the characters seemed so underdeveloped, which was a shame.

After the fast-paced start, I found the book became a slog quite quickly. I was disappointed with this as I had hoped it would be an exciting read.
For me, something was off about the pacing and it just felt like it dragged for most of the book.
The story did pick up again in the last quarter or so but I found the ending a bit abrupt and anti-climactic.

Overall, this was a bit of a let down for me and I didn’t really enjoy it very much. I think it had potential, and the idea for the story was good, but it fell flat for me.

2.5 stars rounded to 2.

Thanks to NetGalley and Random House UK, Transworld Publishers for a copy to review.

This had great potential but to me was lacking. The writing was okay but the storyline could have been brilliant but it wasn't. The characters could have also been better.
This was the 2nd book I have tried to read by Simon and I think that's me done.

Knife Edge by Simon Mayo is a thriller that delivers a dramatic beginning and continues to grip the reader as the story develops. The writing is very comfortable to read and the plot flows along well Although I enjoyed the book, I didn’t take to some of the characters and was disappointed at the ending which didn’t really satisfy.

Thanks to Netgalley and Random House UK for the opportunity to read and review.

Well written thriller with a plausible storyline. The characters were believable and "real." It was a bit of a slow burner but the build up was great and the ending totally thrilling.
This is my first Simon Mayo but certainly not my last.
Thank you Netgalley and Random House for allowing me to give my unbiased opinion.

In rush hour London in 27 minutes 7 people are stabbed to death on their way to work across the capital and so beings a rollercoaster of a read

Seven people are murdered within 27 minutes across London. Turns out they are all part of the same investigative journalism team. Whatever the dead investigators were working on is unknown as there is no trace of anything anywhere. Famie, another journalist for the same news outlet, starts receiving notes and she thinks they are from the killer.

This promised to be an exciting, fast-paced thriller.

It wasn't.

Famie is off-putting in her childish petulance and the other characters offer nothing interesting. The story is dull and slow and I ended up DNFing the book with no interest in reading anything further by the author.

A brilliant, well plotted novel.

It started at 6:45 At 7:15 It was all over. 7 people dead. Knived down on their way to work. What makes this even more puzzling it the fact that they were all colleagues; investigators working for Reuters. Why were they targeted and what is The Students role in all of this? Will  Famie Madden be able to figure it out before more people lose their lives.

A brilliant read that grabs you from the 1st sentence and takes you on a roller coaster ride! I will also be taking my lemon juice out again!

Knife Edge is a thriller based on a domestic terrorism plot. 3.5 ⭐️ rounded up to 4.
Knife Edge is the first book I’ve read by Simon Mayo, I only know him from the radio so was excited to see what he could bring to the table. The book starts off very fast and fraught with terror. Famie Maddon is a newspaper journalist in central London. Upon arriving at work one morning it quickly turns into the nightmare morning of her life as it comes to light over a few minutes that seven of her colleagues have been killed in knife attacks across different parts of London. Famie must find out who the terrorists are before they find her and kill her too.
This started off really well, totally captivating my attention, by halfway it had slowed down a lot and I found myself drifting from the storyline but it did pick up lace and the ending was a good conclusive one.
I would like to thank Netgalley and Transworld Publishers, Random House UK for this ARC I received in exchange for an honest review.
