Shattered Magic kept me interested. I found the world the author built intriguing and will probably backtrack and read the first in the series, Dark Magic, which revolves around Grant's sister, Princess Devon, who made a pretty neat appearance toward the end of Shattered Magic. Recommended for (forgiving) fantasy lovers looking for a quick read.
